Dear all,
I'm new here, I just upgraded my nexus s to ICS 4.0.3, t-mobile ROM. After experiencing battery problem a few days, I decided to do a factory reset. But after the reset, the Google voice icon is missing and I can't launch it at all. I looked at the app manager, and it is there. So I did clearing data for Google partner setup app and restarted the phone, but it still doesn't show up.
Your help is greatly appreciated

Download it from the market.

It doesn't allow me to download because it's native build-in app.

Stupid question, have you rebooted your phone again after doing the factory reset? I had a similar issue, although I didn't notice it at first, but when I rebooted my phone Google Voice and Voice Dialer showed up.

Make sure your language is set to English (United States) and reboot the phone again.

Go to /system/app and reinstall, only works if you have rooted phone. Or I can upload apk if you need.

downloaded an installed manually, but it disappeared again after reboot.
anyone else can help?
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Wipe your system, boot, cache, delvik, data and reinstall the rom.
Alternatively you can download a different launcher that will let you replace the icon such as go launcher.

Hey all, I'm running 2.3.3 Cyanogen 7 mod and when I first installed the mod I had no market. So I re installed it and the market was in there, I have since followed one of the solutions on the samsung galaxy forum regarding different themed markets and how to set them up.
This may seem stupid however I was able to get it working previously before updating to 2.3.3, in short I tried to install zip from SD card and the market has dissapeared and no longer is installed, I tried to install it again and even downloaded the stock and tried to install it as a .apk but it just wont work. I don't want to re-install 2.3.3 if possible but can't see any other options?
I've tried searching for any other threads about this but couldn't find any which actually gave an answer, has anybody seen or had this issue before?

http://goo-inside.me/gapps/ if you can't find them, choose the CM7 version in the table at the top.
More specifically you should download this : http://goo-inside.me/gapps/gapps-gb-20110307-signed.zip and install the zip file via cwm recovery

Hey guys, thanks for those speedy responses - this is why I love the XDA forum!!
Sadly installing the Google apps didn't work either, all looked to install but after clearing the cache and fixing permissions (just to be sure) there was no market installed when I rebooted
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Just after flashing the rom you must reboot and in your first reboot login with your Google account.

Ah so I do have to reflash the Tom, bummer - that's what I was hoping to not have to do :-(
If its gotta be done then its gotta be done I spose, cheers for all the help.

Cod ball, reflash your rom without wiping anything, after that flash gapps and reboot.

Hi,
Apps are neither downloading nor installing from market.... The bar keeps going forever.... Same problem with amazon app store. Here, they are downloading but not getting installed..... But if I restart the phone twice and try again, 3-4 apps will get installed. Again same story repeats... Does anyone have the same problem?

I had this problem on stock.
To fix it, I went to settings > Apps then I uninstalled the market update (if any) and cleared the cache.
Reboot and try again. Its very frustrating lol.

If that doesn't work, going to Setting -> Applications -> Application Manager and clear data for all the Google programs (don't forget about Talk) and then rebooting the phone fixed it for me. Good luck.
I will try.... Thanks guys

Is there a fast way to clear cache for all apps together?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using XDA App

I ran in to this problem. You need to go through the Ultimate Unbrick and then boot into recovery by holding down both volume buttons, then pressing the power button. Then wipe all user data and then do the cache. After that you should be ok.

There are several apps that clear them all together. I use Quick App Manager. It worked without root on my Inspire. Or if you're rooted, there are several others that will probably work or you could also boot into recovery and wipe cache from there.
I discovered this morning that the market will not allow me to download previously purchased apps unless I pay for them again.
Had zero issues when I first setup my phone after flashing the latest AOKP rom, but all of my purchases are showing as unpaid today.
I've cleared market data and rebooted, but no luck. Is this a Google problem or is it something I've done?

Seems to have been a market issue. All purchases are now available.

So I recently rooted my device via Odin and attempted to flash Zeus ROM 6 through cwm. There was an error with the flash as the ROM did not load properly. I reset my phone in the cwm menu so my phone got a fresh factory reset. However, my hspa+ will not activate, although I do get a signal. What should I do?? I have tried another factory reset and turning airplane mode on and off. Still no luck
My infuse is running 2.3.6 if that even makes a difference.
This is a repost since the last was not answered.

Doing a factory reset in recovery is not the same as puttin your phone back to stock...your still running Zeus...
Just use heimdall or Odin and go back to stock
Sent from my HTC PH39100 using Tapatalk 2
But the thing is, my phone isn't running the Zeus ROM. It's still 2.3.6 with 2.6.35.7 kernel.
I look at my mobile network type and it says it's UMTS versus the hsdpa(or something like that)that it was using earlier. It also reads my mobile network state as disconnected but is still in service (just cant use data based applications such as Facebook)
Should I still try to unroot my phone??
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Doc, It is not uncommon for the mobile state to say disconnected. I am on my sgs3 at the moment, it says mine is disconnected, yet all is well.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
There is a misunderstanding... my network state says my device is disconnected. I am not able to access any app that requires data use such as the play store, Facebook, reddit etc.... All say there is no internet connection and simply won't run.

If you don't notice anything wrong happening when you actually boot up the phone (ie memory wiped, apps not saved) then I wouldn't think much of this issue, unless it annoys you.
No it does not say what is updating I guess I leave it go for now it's only on the screen for a few seconds
Thanks anyway
