Htc Sensation No Sim Card Error/Can't enter network unlock code - HTC Sensation

Ok so i tried the unlocking method 1 for my sensation and found my 8 digit unlocking code, however when i put in any other sim card rather than the one the phone is locked to is says no sim card in phone so i have no way of inputing the unlock code.
Any ideas?
Thanks in Advance

i think it states in the unlock thread that it wont work with ALL sensations

Thanks for the reply, yes for some people method 1 just shows a date, but mine gave me the 8 digit unlock code.
The problem is the phone is locked to Meteor but when i insert any other sim then a Meteor one it says no sim card in phone, it should ask to enter the 8 digit network unlock code which it doesn't because its not recognising the sim card for some reason.

mine too, not detect the sim card..
Did you solved the problem?
regards

Did you put the code in with the meteor sim inserted?
you could always just flash another ROM and that should fix the issue, I know it's a bit drastic but if you really want to use another carrier...

Sorry for only replying now, still not resolved, how would i put the code in with the meteor sim in it?
Ive already tried changing the rom and tried the method 2 unlock but it still won't recognise any other sims apart from meteor ones.

No Sim Card?????

OK so hears my question I currently acquired a t moble htc sensation 4g from a friend who cant afford it anymore. I have a free phone with 250 mins a month and it uses at&t network found that out by the phone number look up.
My nephew also has a t mobile Sim it wouldn't dial out but didn't say no Sim.
I already know that the phone has to be unlocked to use other Sim cards and I did method 1 of unlocking my phone http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1232107 but only the date was displayed instead of my Sim code now before I proceed with method 2 of unlocking I wanted to know if it would then recognize my Sim card and work or any other way to make it work before I use this method Please help.

I got the 'STRING: NOT FOUND' error on method one, so I moved to ADB Guide method and successfully unlocked it.

If you unlock the phone, it will still work with the original SIM card.
One possible reason that the other T-Mobile SIM didn't work is that it might not have been a newer 4G-capable SIM card, or the contacts became dirty ( they can easily be cleaned with a pencil eraser).

Need to unlock a permanently locked phone

I'm doing this for a coworker, his phone is permanently locked (code has been entered 10 times in the unlocking screen), it's the koodo version (if it makes any difference). Is there anything to do with that?

I believe this is how it goes:
1) 3 tries to unlock using the SIM code
2) After 3 fails, you have 10 tries to unlock using a PUK code (must call provider for that)
3) After 10 fails, your SIM card is locked permanently.
To get into the phone after those 10 fails, try turning on the phone without the SIM card. I believe putting the phone into airplane mode may also do the trick. But as for the SIM card, it might be locked permanently.

Sadly with this phone there's only the 10 tries, there isn't a second option to unlock it (no pop-up when a bad SIM is inserted, only #2945#*500# to access the hidden menu). I'll be going to a place specialized in unlocking cellphones, if they have LGTool I know they're able to do something with that... What a stupid thing to put on the phones, what do the manufacturer cares if the phone is unlocked?
Hi, was you able to solve the problem? I had the same problem with LG V60!

Try a different (non-AT&T/Rogers) SIM for starters...
I recall a "No SIM" method kicking around, I just have to remember it.
UPDATE: From offsite...
If your phone does not ask for the unlock code:
1. Turn on the phone with original Sim card or without Sim card
2. Enter #7465625*638*NCK/Network#
The phone is now unlocked.
If your phone does not ask for the unlock code:
1. Turn on the phone with a foreign (Unaccepted) Sim card
2. Then enter the following sequence:
#0199*Unfreeze/Defreeze#
#0111*NCK/Network#
#0121*SCK/Subprovider#
#0133*SPCK/Provider#
The phone is now unlocked.

According to the phone specs versus the Vodaphone frequencies, you may be stuck with 2G as well.
i cant dial any of those because i always get the same msg " no network available"

Yikes. Try without a SIM, and see if the message (including the lockscreen msg) is any different.
You may have a bent or broken pin in the SIM tray...

Phone network locked after flashing through Odin?

Hi,
I have a Samsung S8+ which I bought unlocked to any network, I have used it on EE and Vodafone. I had rooted the phone, flashed different roms etc no problem. After I got my new phone, I tried to get the sim out of the S8+ and the tray was stuck, left with no choice I forced it out but this broke the sim card reader as it wouldn't read any SD or Sim.
I flashed a stock 9.0 pie UK version (Unlocked) to the phone through Odin and got the sim card tray replaced, now it reads SD cards and my sim but it says network locked and is asking for the NUC code, the phone was unlocked before and now it isnt. I've contacted Vodafone for a NUC code but the code isn't working (says incorrect code), I've tried flashing stock 8.0 too, also not working and still asking for the NUC. Strangely, it isn't working on either EE or Vodafone Sims now.
Could the sim card tray being replaced effect this? Is it the software flashed through Odin?
Any help will be appriciated please.
Thanks
Sam
Is it possible not only the SIM tray but the whole motherboard was replaced? It would make perfect sense then. Check whether your IMEI and S/N match what was on the box the phone came in.

Thanks for the replies. Same IMEI which is strange, I've tried all UK sims and it's still locked. It says sim locked enter unlock code now but on every sim

It is strange normally sim unlocks are not undone by odin flashing. Sim unlocks lie in a non flashed partition
