Da G kernal on skyrocketeer ROM - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Has anyone tried this combo? On AT&T SR
I would post this in the rom thread but don't have post count.
Also anyone got the low down on best modem for DFW area?

I have used his kernels on them with no issues other than the sod issues on his newer kernels.
For radio I get the best signal and speeds in dfw with uckj2

Would anyone mind either throwing up a download link or telling me where to download it at. I did some skimming through the forums and never found much mentioning to radios, thus me posting the question here. This will be my first time ever switching radios but I assume I just flash the zip like anything else in clockwork mod? Thanks for the answers and help!

Are you on 2.3.4? If on a stock rooted rom accept the ota update to 2.3.5. That will also update the radio.

Am I a dolt? (rhetorical question, please do not confirm), but I didn't think the NS4G had radio capability.
Yeah I just went to peter alfanso's site and got it right before I checked here. Thanks for the replies guys. Also the radio we're talking about is the antenna signal, not an actual am/fm radio that plays music.
What is the typical signal strength you are seeing?
I hover between 76 to 86 dBM 0 asu.
Will a higher signal strength improve chances to acquire/reach 4G signal?

i believe the only difference is the date of the radio leak. they will all work but the only way to see what one works best for you is to try them out. i am also running sky ics 4.2f and using the UCLF5 radio, noticing a minor boost in data reception. and ive tried every radio available

T-Mobile 4G speed on unlocked Samsung galaxy s2 skyrocket i727 ICS 4.0.4 Stock

Hello all,
I would like to thank you for this great forum!
I am very new to this, I have an unlocked Samsung galaxy S2 skyrocket i727 ICS 4.0.4 Stock updated via Kies.
My question how do i run my phone on T-Mobile 4G speed, currently I am getting 2G speed i guess which i am downloading at 46kbps?
Please tell me in details how to that, like i said i am very new to this, direct me to post if possible?
Thank you in advance for your help

Thank you very much
But how do I apply this radio file to my phone? If there is a prerequisite step please direct me to a post that teach me how to do it
Do a little searching on the forums, but you effectively have to flash the CWM recovery to your phone so you could then flash over the mod's specified in that thread. I can't go into the whole specifics of doing that as there are TONS of threads on it.

Last time i checked the links on the thread are bad.....I unlocked my skyrocket to tmobile and tried dl but links were bad.......so Im on EDGE on the skyrocket but who cares SGS3 is beast ass phone even with the small ammount of roms and mods for it
Per the linked thread a few posts above, search for the blaze modem suggested. That should get you off the Edge network

Once you flash a tmobile modem to unlock the 4g, also try adding these settings to your build.prop
ro.ril.hsdpa=24
ro.ril.hsupa=6
ro.ril.hsxpa=5
ro.ril.gprsclass=10
Supposedly you should get even better data speeds. I cannot verify this. worth a shot.

Thanks for this information. I managed to get CvD-Nibbles 1.6 (Jelly Bean mod ROM) loaded and Blaze_4G_LB7_ICS_Radio_MOD with this settings. Works better now.
I also managed to load a couple T-Mobile ROM like Liquid_All-Star V5.5 and All-Star-Rom V2-1 with skyrocket kernel Sky_p3.2 and Blaze_4G_LB7_ICS_Radio_MOD plus the build.prop tweak to work great.

Can you just drop these lines anywhere in the build.prop or is there somewhere in there it specifically needs to go?

Different modems offer different performance for some people but everyone's device it slightly different so as prdog1 said it's a matter of trying them out and finding out what works best (Make sure to make a backup before flashing and trying out any new modems). You can find a list of modems for the Verizon Galaxy S3 here.
What kind of performance are you talking about?

Mostly in regards to signal strength and throughput on data connections.
Also newer modems are better at switching between 3g and 4g. I use the newest and have no issue (HE)

Does it matter that the latest ota changes the case band version to vrblk3 and the post you listed lists vrlk3 as the latest modem or is that just an abbreviation for vrblk3 please forgive me if it seems it's a silly question as I am new and not sure
