We're back! We've just released the brand new Tablified Market HD app. Due to some unfortunate circumstances, we needed to abandon the old Tablified Market app. The app has been completely made from scratch I think you'll enjoy what we have to offer this time around.
Everyone who has previously purchased the pro version of Tablified Market HD will automatically unlock all the Pro features upon installation of the new app. If you have any issues, please contact us at [email protected].
Changelog:
Version 3.0 has been completely revamped!
-MUCH faster load times
-Phone UI (3.0+ only)
-Dedicated UI for 7" tablets like the Nexus 7
-All around enhanced UI with new icon
-Less ads
-Font Resize (pro)
-Better search filters (pro)
-Favorite an app (pro)
-One click direct link to Google Play store (pro)

This is a great idea! Its so necessary you would think Google would include a "tablet" category in the regular Market. Thank you sir.

Glad you like it.
I completely agree with you. This is something that Google should have done but I can understand why they chose not to do it. They would need to manually screen every app and have some sort of guideline of what is or is not a tablet app. We decided to do it instead. We are no Google, but we can at least try

Is there is a reason you can't get it from the market? If you don't have access to the Android Market then this app is useless since it links you directly to the market to download the apps.

Please post an apk or mark cm_tenderloin as compatible. I want this on my touchpad but I can't get it.
Running ICS.
+1 for the touchpad, can't install it and I would love to have something like this, especially when I'm stuck on gingerbread
It's been more than a week. Still no touchpad compatibility or a freaking apk of the lite version. Screw you, dev.

Calm down man. You need to be running at least Honeycomb. That's not going to change (at least not anytime soon). But here is the apk just in case you want to give it a whirl. Gingerbread is not a tablet OS and that is why its not supported. We don't own any TouchPads to do testing on so it's hard for us to know if it works or not. If you're running CM9 then it should work.

Thanks man . I'm using a touchpad too and would give this a try.
Works well on CM9 alpha 0.6 touchpad. Thanks, dev.
Any TouchPad owner kind enough to give us some screenshots of our app in action? Someone was complaining that it doesn't stretch to fit the screen properly. I would like to see it for myself. Thanks!

I'm not impressed. Your personal opinion that "Gingerbread is not a tablet os" is flawed. The determining factor should be screen resolution and my Nook Color running CM7 with Tablet Tweaks enabled could easily display your app but as someone else pointed out...all your doing is throwing up the tablified website in a frame and tacking on a few more ad's...I could easily just load the webpage and cut out the "middle man".
All the reviews I browsed seemed focused on throwing folks toward pay apps as well while ignoring others which are free AND non ad sponsored. A suspicious person might be led to think someone is getting kickbacks for directing traffic on a "pay per review" basis.
For what it's worth, your app also fails to display properly within the dimensions of the Logitech Revue (Google TV) running Honeycomb at a 720p resolution requiring the user to pan left and right. Poorly Designed.

Gingerbread is not a tablet OS. Doesn't matter on how large of a screen you put it on. Save up and get yourself a real tablet.
It's a bit more than a webview, but okay. Build your own app then. You don't have to use my app. It's easier to navigate than the website on a tablet. You can't filter the results the way we do in the app. So no, we are not just simply displaying the site.
The reviews are unbiased and majority of the apps on there are free. Reader HD, tTorrent, Task to do, JotterHd. These all have free versions. Don't like the reviews? Don't read them. It's really quite simple.
Its not for Google TV. It's for tablets! Now your going to tell me that Google TV is a tablet, right?
If you don't want to support our work then you don't have to. Obviously you're the type of person who thinks people work for free. Servers and writers don't pay for themselves. I won't apologize for trying to get a little compensation for our work.
Can't please everyone I guess.
Thanks for the feedback.
Edit- Looks like we were having some issues with the caching system and so you were probably seeing the full desktop version of the site instead of our custom version for the app. We'll try to address this problem soon. Sorry guys.

Thanks for the rant. "Save up and get yourself a real tablet." Yeah you really make me want to support your "work". As for the logitech revue...perhaps you should spend some time figuring out how to configure your app correctly in google play because it stated the Revue was compatible and allowed the install. Funny how the revue works fine with other "tablet" apps that actually bother to check screen dimensions.
Interesting how you take negative feedback against the APP and turn it into a personal attack on ME.
In the end it's a simple case of mind over matter. I don't mind because you and your app don't matter.

XDA TV (Tablet Edition) v1.4
Now you can have all the XDA TV videos wherever you go using this application. At the time it's limited to tablets(since I got my Galaxy Tab last week and I wanted to play with some coding for it). I need people testing if this works and how it works on Honeycomb tablets(since I don't have one to test). If you were looking for the phone version, just click here.
I've been working on this for a week. Making the layout using HTML and CSS3 was easy, but I got a lot of problems while trying to make the code work on Android, so I took a bit more to match the code for Android. At the time I can't find another way to open up the videos without firing up the browser to redirect to the Video application, the OS has a lot of problems with HTML5 Video tag so I've done it like this.
The technologies used on this application:
PhoneGap
iScroll
jQuery
HTML5 and CSS3

Works on the XOOM 3G, here are some things to consider.
1. Yes it did open in a browser window - but the program went back to the App. In order to watch the video I had to switch back to the browser.
2. The GUI is a little off..... "TV" is located between the brown bar and the video pane. The Play button w/ description could be centered in the app.... I know I am nit picking, but you asked
Good job otherwise.

Hello XDA,
Me and my friend are trying to change Android world. ;-)
We have just finished making our first Android app - bubble level (know also as spirit level or just level).
We are learning - it is our first try in Android Market, but our motto is quality so it should be quite polished. What do you think? Both compliment and criticism will be very appreciated.
Oh... and almost forgot: if you like this app please rate us in market!
App has ads, but they can be switched off from settings menu!

3MB too large for too small app
Looks and works great
I've only played with it for a couple of minutes but it seems to work good. I absolutely LOVE the polished UI. My only problem is that I don't really use a level
Still, great job.
This is the nicest "spirit" level I've seen. I'm sure its not the easiest decision, bu you get a lot of credit for making ads and anonymous data configurable. I hope you go on to build a whole suite of apps!
Great looking app, I am excited to see more people start making high quality UI for android apps because that is one of the things I dislike the most about android is the lack of polished apps. However, I love android still. But keep up the good work
I have to say this is quite clean and works really well. Thank you!
Doesn't let me install from the Market, says it's incompatible with my Galaxy Tab, but I bet it is.
Very nice, Altho ppl rarely download something like a level as a single app though.
Things like this should be combined with other utility apps to have a good selling point.
Good trial tho.
I love that you've given the ability to change every setting imaginable. (full screen, orientation changes, keep screen on, etc.) I feel that most apps need, although lack, most of the options you've provided. And of course, amazing UI. Great job. 5 stars
Thanks gogoad, this is an awesome app, keep up the excellent work!
One thing I really like about Bubble Level (by BRL Technologies) is that it displays 2 levels (2 axis) at the same time, and this is very useful (to me, at least).
Very good graphics, thanks for doing this. Hope to see more great apps from you.
Cheers

Probably there is a room for improvement using new market feature witch allows developers to distribute multiple apks (for example with different resources resolution) under one entry in market. I will investigate it in "near" future.
Oh, and as a last resort you have "Move to SD" option.

I will try to investigate it. Can you tell me what ROMs are you exactly using? Seems to be a problem with "market manifest" (file which defines what devices are compatible).
For now I've changed main post and added link to apk. You can also use market enabler as telenut pointed out.
Thank you all once again. I will keep you updated with changes.
Excellent!
Easy to use, excellent graphics. And the *option* to configure without the need to do so. Providing the choice of supporting by ads or not, is also outstanding.
Even though I don't really need it, I'd also like to see a second level (axis).
BTW, I don't agree to package apps like this with others. I kind of prefer the unix style - choose the right tool for a job and not a collection of tools

Hey everyone. Today I released a new version of my app, Tablified Market HD and I'd really like for you guys to check it out.
Tablified Market HD is the largest database of Android tablet apps. It is a curated list of apps that have been specifically designed to take advantage of the screen real estate of your tablet.
We've completely revamped this version with a brand new Holo interface. We replaced the aging list view with a beautiful, snappy grid view-similar to what the Google Play store offers. The UI itself was inspired from the Google Now cards.
We add apps constantly. Featured graphics are changes out every couple weeks and apps are added every 1-2 days depending on what we find. Remember, if developers don't make tablet apps, we have nothing to add.
I hope you enjoy my app!

I'd like to personally take Elias Manuel for coming up with the original concept!
Even tho you state that this is slow, its a really good app, thanks.

The site looks great and just downloaded the app so gonna give it a try when I get home. Maybe it could be possible to make notification in the title if an app is free or not.

[APP][BETA] Tablified Market
Hey everyone. In collaboration with XDA developer Appelflap, we've released the official Tablified Market app. If you're familiar with Tablified.com (and like using the site) then you'll want to check out the market app. Its currently in beta and we are constantly working on it to speed up loading times. I hope you'll give it a try and provide feedback.
Features of App & Site:
-Largest Database of Tablet Apps & Games (over 1,100 and counting)
-100% REAL tablet apps, every single one of them
-Accurate search functionality
-Screenshot of Apps & Games actually ON a tablet, not a screenshot of a tablet app on a phone.
-Install button takes you right to the native Android Market app, not the online market site
-Fragmented UI to give a better tablet look & feel as well as efficiency.
Developers, want to add your tablet app or game on our site and app? Fill out this form. Its free!:
http://www.tablified.com/submit/

-FASTER LOADING TIMES! Not perfect but definitely better.
-Keyboard hides after hitting the search button.
-Hide category button is now in the menu option.
-Fixed small progress bar for Asus Transformer & other tablets.
-Progress bar has been relocated. Make sure you stare at it while waiting for pages to load, it actually makes it load faster
-Various bug fixes.
-Now you can submit apps right from within the app.
-There is an exit button to close the app completely (in menu).
-Hitting the back button closes app when there's nothing to backtrack.
-Awesome looking portrait mode and 360 degree rotation!
-Significantly smaller package size (was 2.2MB, now 81kb)

Of course the app itself requires Honeycomb, since "Tablet app" in Android means Honeycomb (or greater..). Shows up in the market here.
Personally I think if the Android Market or Appbrain app/site could showcase/isolate "tablet" apps it'd be nice.. Problem is it has to be somewhat human-sorted, you can have "tablet" apps that are not written for Honeycomb (Kaiten) or totally non-"tablet" apps written for Honeycomb (ie: newer SDK, but still not utilizing Fragments etc).

People will call anything with a large screen a 'tablet'. That's not what a tablet is IMO. You can't run a modified PHONE OS on a large screen and call it a tablet. A tablet is a large screened device that runs a TABLET OS. Though many of the apps found on Tablified do offer 'support' for those large screened devices, its geared toward tablets running an actual tablet OS. The Kindle Fire, while it has nice features, is not a full fledged tablet and that is why its not supported (unless you want to throw HC or ICS on it).
great idea
OP, any chance you can mark CM9 touchpad as compatible? Or at least post an apk.
Very nice app!
Agree with you
For some reason only the featured tab loads. But it also might be because Im on school wifi. Ill try again at home and report back.

Edit: Works flawlessly. Load times are a bit slow, but that's nothing to complain about.
Thanks for making this app!
works great, a little lag in loading but other than that nice app!
The ability to select text and sharing it seems to be rare in apps for pre-Honeycomb Android versions, so this may be a problem. This app will have limited functionality in those Android versions.
Hey xda developpers,
Here's my shot at my second ad-free app, WordLookup !

What is it?
Many of you have probably heard of the popular Google Dictionary extension for Google Chrome, which allows you to double click any word on a web page to view its definition. I have found this feature indispensable to my web browsing.
Of course, it's not possible to implement something like this in Android just yet, but this app tries to imitate its functionality. There's no need to open another dictionary app to find definitions anymore!
WordLookup allows you to view word definitions easily as you browse the web, and when using apps. It does require an Internet connection to work, however.
Simply hold&select the word you wish to look up, share it with WordLookup and a small notification popup will show a few definitions for the word! It's that simple!
Here's how to use it:
1- Hold and select the word you'd like to get the definitions.
2- Select the Share button in the menu/Action Bar.
3- Share text to WordLookup.
4- The definitions should show up in a bit as a popup(Toast) notification.
Supported Apps:
-ICS Android Browser
-Google Chrome
-ICS Gmail and Email app
-Pulse
-Many,many others. More will be added in this list.
Right now, this app is only tested on Android 4.0 - Ice Cream Sandwich, as many apps on earlier versions of Android do not support sharing text, your mileage may vary, though. Some parts of the program are still very rough, as this is still a beta.
Upcoming features includes offline dictionaries, and more!
Technical stuff in a nutshell:
This app gets the shared text via an intent and uses the Knicker library to fetch definitions from Wordnik (thanks to their nifty API). It then sends the definitions to a custom Toast pop-up, which is displayed on the bottom of the screen.

Dammnn, finally i dont need to copy paste the word anymore into some dictionnary web site
This looks like an awesome idea. Would it be possible to auto detect non-English words and auto-translate selected words using Google Translate? Thanks!

That is coming in a future version! Right now, it's mostly a proof-of-concept. Is the app working fine on your phone, however?
Can anyone with a Gingerbread, or previous version of Android confirm if this app works in these versions?
Thanks

Just released a new version on Google Play that should fix these crashes, as well as implementing the native Toast look, and other fixes. Let me know if it works well now!
Question, is it better to use a Toast notification, like now, or switch to a dialog box, which offers more optimization at the expense of more obtrusiveness?

This is a cool idea, but it doesn't really function on my GB TB because the option to share text is limited (as you stated). Still, I'll be following this to see where it goes and I'll definitely give it a spin once I upgrade!
Keep up the work c:
-And a suggestion-
Do you think it would be possible to create an offline version as well and have the word lookups routed through a database in your app instead of online?
I know I'm connected to the internet via wifi and it won't connect... HTC thunderbolt on sfk almost sense 4.0/gingerbread. I could share it and everything though

Hey Meso,
Unfortunately, the limitations on GB seems to be a hard one and cannot be fixed unless the app developer(in the case of the browser, Google) updates it to add sharing, or possibly added into a ROM or something.
And an offline version are upcoming as well, once some flaws with the app gets nailed out. I'm also thinking of using Bing's traslation service to deliver translations in a future version, as well.

Hey,
That's weird, but I may know why, will try to fix it in the next update. I am rather busy these days so you will have to be patient
Meanwhile, try to go on wordnik.com via your phone. It may have been blocked for some reason. Let me know if it works or not.
Just released 0.1.2beta which includes a few buxfixes and also allows me to better identify problems(let me know if you still encounter the problem, Atamagaokashii)
Just released 0.1.5beta:
Changelog:
-Added a loading screen while definition is loading
-optimizations

Much better! Love it! I've been waiting for something like this for awhile. Is it possible in the next update to be able to choose or have options for where it.pulls a definition from?

I'll definitively look into it! The Wordnik API does support pulling from Wikitionary, Webster, etc. It's possible to set this from an option. Glad this app is useful for you!

Since I didn't find anything, I developped my own app called CopySearch. I can't post link, but there is a thread presenting it on xda.
At the end, our 2 apps are totally different, which is fun:
same user needs + 2 different developpers = 2 apps that have nothing in common
keep going!

Hi!
I apologise, but we can't post the APK here right now.
However, you can find it in the Google play store in two ways:
Go to the google play store and search for "Calculus Interactive App". It should be first app to surface. Look out for our logo, you can't miss it.
Build the url link like so: <google play store domain>/store/apps/details?id=air.com.neumediatechnologies.calculus
You will have to replace the <google play store domain> with the actual Google Play domain.
Get the FREE Lite Edition!

I'm personally in love with calculus and I'd really like to test this app. However, with the requirement of Adobe Air, I'm hesitant.

Hi!
Thank you for your expressed interest!
A little bit of history, this app was originally a POC project developed on the flash platform, hence the need for Adobe air to run on android.
However, with your continuous support, we will work towards developing native applications in the future.

I really like the idea and think the app is well done. It looks great on my 720p Note 2 screen.
Some suggestions:
1) the title area in each individual 'lesson' is rather big and I believe making it smaller might allow you more room to space out the calculations and other text of the lessons to make everything a bit more readable (hopefully this makes sense).
2) the end of the whole differentiation lesson/concept doesn't bring you back to the main menu or offer any options to go back or continue or anything (or maybe it is a problem that occurred on my phone)?
3) pressing the back button during a lesson or video closes the app, this is somewhat annoying since most other apps i use, bring you back to the previous 'page' or 'menu' or whatever.
One question I have is if you would be able to expand from general calculus to put in some content and how it might relate to business calculus/principles/ideas? This would be very useful for me since I have always struggled with math and have yet to pass the business calculus class...if you need any help with testing or what not let me know, I'd be glad to help!
