Does anyone know which tool to be used to turn OFF the security on the Sensation XE? I have searched the web and found a revolutionary tool for HTC sensation and wanted to know if this works with the XE. I'm still searching to find out how to root my sensation XE and what is the best ROM to be installed.

The procedure is the same for Sensation XE as the Sensation because they are the same phone, same hardware. beats is only an equalizer preset so they are still same phone.
To get S-OFF just use revolutionary

Assuming you have HBOOT 1.18.0000 (which you should) then you can just use Revolutionary to S-OFF as you would the normal Sensation

Got my Sensation XE today.
Would be interesting if we can flash normal Sensation Roms.
Kernel an Hboot are the same?
Kernel is ROM dependent, I'd imagine it would work fine but I've no idea how the clock speed would be affected as the stock XE ROM runs at 1.2GHz on the original Sensation as opposed to 1.5GHz
Nandroid and give a ROM a go. If it doesn't work, restore your nandroid/flash the RUU
can one of you who have the xe get us the kernel so we can find out how its running stock at 1.5?
the stock kernel isn't released yet.
Is it possible to extract the kernel from stock xe ruu?

Well , next week am planning to buy Sensation XE .
But here in XDA there are 2 forums... one for HTC Sensation and other for Sensation XL .
But there is no seperate forum for Sensation XE.
So where can i get custom rom etc for Sensation XE ?

The Sensation and Sensation XE are the same device. The Sensation XE only has it's CPU clock set higher. Anything in this forum will also work with the Sensation XE.
Hopefuly custom roms of Sensation wont screw up my Sensation XE

Hi there,
I just bought Sensation XE and I want to root it. But in the search engine I couldn't find any thread about Sensation XE. It's only Sensation and Sensation XL. My question is, are there any differences regarding the kernel of these models or should I just read the threads for Sensation XL in order to root my Sensation XE and install custom ROM?

Sensation/Sensation XE are the same for this matter, Sensation XL is very different though.

to debrand a Sensation XE?
I've successfully debranded a Sensation before, but when I got to revolutionary.io, no XE option is there for the beta key.
Also, the sensation XE i intend to debrand is currently on T-mobile UK ICS... does that change anything?
Note: I do NOT want root access, just stock ICS.
You can't use revolutionary to debrand an ice sensation, its not updated yet ( don't even know if it ever will )
But otherwise any method for the sensation works for the XE.

I unrooted the sensation xe today. No experience with HTC whatsoever. By mistake installed RUU Gingerbread 2.3.4... but of Sensation instead of Sensation xe.
Now have all specs showing of Sensation like 1.2 GHZ and no Beats Audio, etc.
My question is this :
I have downloaded now ICS update RUU file ( the correct one for sensation xe ) but it says that my phone Must Be a Sensation XE and nothing else.
But after this installation of Sensation RUU , isn't my phone just Sensation now or I still can update with power off into bootloader from this ICS RUU since in reality it is a Sensation xe ?
Or do i need to install a Sensation xe gingerbread first before I upgrade ?
Please advice. I don't want to plug in my usb and install wrongly.
Any way out please ?

Number one what's your objective meaning what are trying to achieve you could have found a xe ruu instead and my suggestion if you won't the ruu for the xe you will have to read before flashing don't get me wrong I'm not trying to be rude but this could have been avoided had you did a bit more reading and ask question's before running that ruu but let me do some searching around to see what I can find and I'll get back with you on the result's sit tight well I'm back and its a no go on the ruu for the xe strange though you think it would be in available but it isn't and also you could check with your carrier's web site for your device and it may point you in the right direction I don't know but it's worth a try I'm with tmo u s and thats how I found the latest update for my senssation and you could have a look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1326631

did you do a nandroid backup before you flashed the ruu? Maybe try to restore.

Kk... download latest frimware it may b 3.33.. put in SD card root,get in bootloader mode..flash frimware, download ARHD or ViperS ROM.. and install it, instructions are inside the ROM.. AROMA installer
