Its been a while since MIUI was "started"... I totally forgot about it. :-/ This sgs4g is my first android phone so I have never used it, neither CM... but im enjoying what we have so anything that comes next its extra.
Question is, do you guys want a good solid working miui or a hacked together hardly usable pos miui? Things take time, and a lot of the additions I've seen coming out lately are all stepping stones. Hassling our devs isn't going to speed anything up.

Valhalla is pretty close to what you can do with CM. The real different is the t-mobile theme engine built in, and a few more tweaks. The only true benefit of cyanogenmod would be official support, so we would always be upgraded to the next OS. I'm not sure how CM9 will look though- it will be impressive no doubt.
Truth be told I do not know how they decide who gets official support. It is nice because you almost always have the latest OS before anyone. Then again, people tend to get bored with almost everything, if we had CM, we would probably still be switching to different roms. For example, I switched to Blandroid on my Nexus One because I would tired of CM. I switched back again, but you get my point.

Also when we got source that was win... even tho it wasnt complete n had to use the i9k to finish parts of the stock kernel...
Also we need a more updated up stream for u boot n cm7 asop kernel before the rom will be proper this takes time

Rooting isnt a problem for me, but im not skilled enough to port miui, would HAPPILY DONATE for a prt of miui. Love that ROM, i know people say its like the iphone but it just brings a different look and feel to android that is very very polished. Dont know about you guys but i would love to see this.

The only problem would be getting the LTE radio to work im pretty sure.. i think they have the 4g working on the Inspire's MIUI rom but im not sure how hard this would be

I may have miss understood entierly, but I was under the impression that the source codes were released for the LTE radio in the TBolt. I could be wrong about this, but if that is true, we will see 4G very quickly.

MIUI has already been confirmed for the Thunderbolt. I can't post a link because I'm new but if you go to miui-dev.com and then the Incredible forum find the thread entitled "It's been real fun Incredible.. but you are too slow!". A couple big porters from the Incredible are moving to the 'bolt.

Seriously, this phone woukd run miui perfectly, i know people call it iphone esque, but if u have used iphone u kmow its not, its just a buttery smooth build of android. Also, if i remember correctly it has great memory management. On my dinc i would always have over 175mb or RAM available no matter what i was doing. Also i must say this proccessoris def a step up from the original snapdragon

Smjfosho said he was working on one in another miui thread. I messaged him and this is what he said " I've been trying, just can't get it to boot. I've been talking with the o2x guys and they are having similar issues." So hopefully they'll get it figured out soon.

Never messed with MIUI and decided to load it on my HD2 that my wife uses and I must say it is a bad a$$ OS. I can not wait for some MIUI action on the G2x!

I'll take a look, I don't own this phone but a friend has it running stock and told me he wanted a new phone and that this one was a POS, I told him the hardware is great but Samsung'd coding is just amazingly terrible, so I've been looking for a good ROM to flash for him, but since I don't have the phone was going to just rock CM7 since you can't go wrong.
Any suggestions on a stable/fast ROM? It will be hard to test these for daily use since I don't own the device.

I am running bioinix frost and I love it as my main rom. I have no complaints about it. Icbinb was just released and that includes pretty much every mod and tweak for the phone. It is very smooth. I would recommend those two for now.

To save yourself the hassle of looking all over this forum for tweaks and stuff, you should probably just stick to ICBINB.7.
Bionix Frost would require you to look for all those tweaks!
Both are just as good though, imo.

One click root is what I used. Bkoon has a great point. I an one of those that like to mess with the tweaks, so frost is for me. Icinb had everything included already.

Hey guys, I'm getting this phone via CL. The one I'm looking at guy says its preloaded with 2.3.3 via factory.
Question is if that's even possible since I know OTA for GB on this phone has never happened?
Also, to root it would I just Odin to GB bootloaders or Honks kernel?

It wont be preloaded with GB via factory
You will need to flash a leaked GB like kg4 so you can have the GB bootloaders then flash drhonks kernel and your set

I'd ask for a screenshot for proof since these phones haven't even gotten official gb yet.
Yes you'd be able to root it with honk's kernel. You can also follow my gb starter pack guide to get good bootloaders etc.

a few months ago(like april) you would regret having this phone over the mt4g but i can reassure you that myself and the few devs in this community have made this phone smoother then ever enjoy good battery life, no lag, amazing screen display and a nice 1.7 OC if you desire

Ive had people tell me that if you use my adrenaline shot that cm is actually just another ROM and nothing special since the tweaks greatly improve the phone ill find the quotes for you

to be honest, we thought we were going to get cm7 first because krylon and drhonk were working on it
the kernel was giving them A LOT of problems and slowed down development, im pretty sure they are still working on it however i havent seen any updates on their work in awhile
if not maybe some of us devs could start the cm project as well
Coming from the mt4g, I understand where you're coming from. You won't be disappointed, raver, dsexton, krylon, whitehawx, drhonk, and atoore, and anyone else I may have missed, are all very talented devs and make the phone worth the switch. So weather it be team acid, or team whiskey, you'll be happy.

I was here the first day since the sidekick +4 ROMS & they were all stable w/ no problem's until this new one LRV3 , i do have room it's a section & i was here since day one don't tell me what to do , to me your just another leech on this forum , how about you give people tip's of what to add not saying everyone's roms suck because if you didn't know ICS V1.5 get's +22.00 in linpack when every other ROM get's +17.00 , don't say i'm not a true dev if you can't do what i do .

Really? I use my phone everyday, I'm on GOV1 and loving it, I don't see anything wrong sofar, aside from the gallery which I had on the stock rom and gcv2, I don't get why u got on here crying?

Every single ROM in the sidekick section is stable , they have the most bloat removed if they remove more bloat you will remove a vital processor which will cause the phone not to boot & stay stuck at the splash screen .

Well am not dissing and that new rom well I diss like it because you can't eidt menu and there's bugs in it but just think I am on this xda all the time I see a lot port over stuff from other phones well why can't we talk to a dev from cm and ask if thy can help out and do a blind biluld like undead his stuff is good but it needs work on don't all want some cm stuff on your phone and trust me I might of put the wrong words but we need more devs in here and don't ask me lol because am not smart to do that to hard I can only mod xboxs and xboxs 360
