I am having an issue with sent mail not getting deleted. A blank activesync screen pops up on the screen and sits there and never exits. Once you click the X you see an activesync status screen flash (on this screen it says "microsoft exchange" and you can see a status bar at the bottom). It resends all messages in the outbox and they never get purged or sent into the sent mail. What setting am I missing to accomplish this?

Yeah. And after.a while, the problem returns...
I'm having the same problem and it's annoying. I read the message exit and see 1 unread. I open up messages and then close it and it goes away.
I'm sure I'm not the only one that gets an Unknown or multiple false message notifications on the lockscreen (where the date usually displays) when using Go SMS or I'm sure any SMS replacement app.
I'm running a rooted sidekick, is there any way to modify the stock lockscreen so it always displays the date and doesn't display any notifications whatsoever?

I just removed the stock notifications altogether. Freeze it or just uninstall it.
do you mean "Notification pop-up settings"? I freezed it then restarted and I'm still getting an Unknown message on the lockscreen
I had this problem too on my Sidekick 4G. I am using Handcent but I don't know if that's the cause for me.
What I did to solve this problem: I went into the stock messaging app, into the menu, where I chose "Browser Message". (This menu option is not always present, but apparently shows up when you get a message from your cell carrier.) There was one message listed, and I deleted it. After that, my lock screen displayed the date again.
Is there any way to disable message previews from appearing on the status bar from lockscreen... The messages don't appear when the phone is unlocked but when it is locked they appear.. I checked all the settings but couldn't find anything
