I have a htc hd2 with Stock desire ROM and want a new one - any ginerbread one or one where I can install apps on SD. How do I go about doing this?
I am unable to create an active sync on my PC since installing Android on my phone - had no trouble with winmo

[Q] HTC sence and Gingerbread Rom HDMI

I relaxed HTC sence with cyanogen mod 7. But it was too unstable. Then I installed Gingerbread. The music app does not play anything from my music file. I guess it is not in the correct format even though CM7 and HTC sence had no trouble playing music from that same file. Second, I installed a newer version of rom manager which deleted my HTC Sence backup orange did it? Is there a way to find it or can I download it from the net somewhere? Lastly, I really like the Gingerbread Rom, but the HDMI does not work. I downloaded two apps HD win and full HDMI with no luck. Any tips?

If you find that your phone can't create boot.IMG , navigate to the root of your sd, find the boot.IMG file, delete it, then restart bootmanager , and it should create it without problems
if you ever run into problems, pull the battery, boot to hboot, select recovery, and flash the update.zip inside the phoneRom directory. It writes your backed up boot image. thanks too $MyName for making this common knowledge

Sounds awesome. Gonna try that
There's just one big problem, the Desire S has been found to have a very problematic eMMc chip with regards to battery pulling. Kinda scary.

question regarding the nand for the phone rom: htc evo, smelkis 4.3 recovery, option to nand should include or exclude RECOVERY?
SO which would be better. I'm wondering if I should use CM7 to run as my main rom, than dual boot a JB rom boot manager lite. I still haven't gotten this to work, so which should my main OS be?

Just a Fair Warning!
if yu do this u should understand the risks this brings even as small as they may be. im saying cuz I've dual booted nd got the 5 vibs of death i got it fixed nd up again bt scared the life outta me. buyer beware "hope for the best but always expect the worst"
Thanks for the info. I was wondering how this is possible, seeing as how there is very little space left after flashing just one ROM. However, according the website, it installs the ROMs on your sdcard and runs them straight from there. It will be slower than if you run from internal memory, but it's nice that the option is available.
