Hey, I have a honeycomb tab. My question is this. I want to record video for work with my rear facing camera. The audio pickup is next to the front facing camera. Audio works just fine when I am talking behind the device taking video in front of me using the rear facing camera. But, if I am taking video of someone else talking while recording using the rfc, the audio doesn't pick up due to the mic being on the opposite side of the device from them.
So, if possible, how can I use a bluetooth headset to record the audio within the video clip I am trying to record? Are there any special bluetooth sets that I need and/or a special video recording app that I need?
Thanks XDA-ers.
George

Would it be possible to either:
A. Mod the current Camera.apk to allow the front camera to record video?
or
B. Pull the Camera.apk out of another phone that allows front camera video recording and port it for the infuse?
You can use qik video for recording with the FFC, at least it has the option, I've never tested it tho. video call works fine with it so IDK why it wouldnt record.
Yeah qik can make ffc videos. Ive done it with some playing around
Dawn it I have post this questions for more than three times! Please help me for goodness' sake.
I flashed the Reaper Kernel v.13 on my Desire S with CM7.2 RC3 and I expect it could enable the stereo video recording. It working fine on other functions such as CPU governor. However it doesn't work on this job.
Yes I have edited the media_profiles.xml in the system/etc and changed the audio channels to be 2 and restarted the phone. I recorded a video and it was shown to have two channels. But after opening with Adobe Premier, the two channels are actually the same. I tried to make some noise near the two mic respectively. When played with headset, this is just no difference of the left/right sides. And it seems only the bottom mic work.
So I would like to ask for your guys' help on this issue. I really wounder if anyone has got stereo recording. I have upload the media_profiles.xml and you can download it here:

By the way, since the rear mic is not working, I guess the noise cancellation function doesn't work as well. Anyone has any comment?
And below is a sample video file. You could test it if you like.

Could anyone help?
Hello,
As you should have noticed the sound is recorded with to high gain on camcorder.
I want to ask if anyone was able to fix this.
Every time I use the camcorder to record something noisy, like a concert or something, it gets impossible to understand the music because the camera records with to much gain.
Is there any way to reduce that gain, or some way to cover the camcorder microphones in order to record with a lower volume??
This happens with every ROM I tried, so I think it's an hardware problem and not a ROM's problem.
Did anyone tried to fix that and wants to share how to do it?!?!
Thank you
Hello All.
while recording live on Facebook, the sound is so horrible while playing later, please advise.
Xoxo
I have same problem... Any fix?
Same here. The audio gets extremely amplified in the recorded clip.
Please help
Hey there,
I have an OnePlus 8, IN21BA with stock firmware 11.0.2.2., rooted with magisk.
I ran into a strange problem:
When I record video with the selfie cam no audio is recorded. This is true for
- stock camera app
- snapchat
- Google cam port.
It strangely works for
- every messenger with videochat capabilities (WhatsApp, Threema, Telegram)
- recording selfie video with instagram
So it is not a hardware problem.
I checked all the permissions. The only thing which is recorded is a short crack noise at the beginning of the recording. The rest is silent.
And yes, I turned up all the volumes and installed Snapchat new.
This is really very annoying. Does anyone have this issue too? Who can help me?
Help is much appreciated!
Update: Also with a connected headset no audio is recorded although I don't have any problems with phone calls with a headset
