[Q] No Simcard inserted - simunlock - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Hello XDA peoples!
So, got this Skyrocket from my BF, locked to Rogers. Put my Fido card in, needed an unlock code.
First thing, bought an unlock code. In my experience the code comes in within 2 hours MAX. This one took a full 24 hours to come in.
So, I wanted to play with the phone until then, on wifi, whilst waiting impatiently for my unlock code.
I kept getting a prompt to enter the SIM Unlock code, as I had none, I pressed Dismiss, thinking it should arrive any moment.
24 hours later, code comes in, Prompt Disappears... I re-flash the stock Rogers firmware, re-flash the stock Radio... Nothing...
I'm not sure what to do.
Thanks Peoples!

#7465625*638*Code#*= Disables Network lock
Use the code you got.

S2 Skyrocket take over 2 minutes to acquire network.

Hi all,
I just bought a used Skyrocket and unlock the phone using unlock code I bought from other website. But when I put the TMobile Sim card and restart the phone, the phone took about 2 to 3 minutes to acquire the network signal. So I used a friend AT&T Sim Card and restart the phone but the phone still took 2 to 3 minutes. The Android version is 2.3.5 and Kernal Version is 2.6.35.11. Does anyone encountered this problem before? I search around but didn't found any thread mention about this problem. I just don't know if it is because of the phone or because of the unlock code? Thanks all.
nevermind... found a solution. Have to reset the APN so it recognize Tmobile. Now it is able to pickup TMobile right at startup.
Depending on where you are signal wise when useing a unlocked phone it is pretty typical bout taking it's time connecting on a different network other than what it was set up for but over all would say if it pick's up and function's properly it should be fine. I have had a few do the same thing sound's pretty normal. Hope this helped ya.

Hello all,
I recently called ATT and got them to give me a SIM unlock code for my skyrocket. I flashed back to stock firmware in preparation to unlock the phone.
Before attempting to unlock it I ran the *#SIMLOCK# USSD code. To my surprise, it shows that all of the locks are off. This strikes me as odd since I have not even attempted to unlock it .
I currently don't have another activated SIM card from another carrier to test with. SO I tried the usual method *#SIMLOCK*638*UNLOCKCODE#.
It didn't even run and hitting the call but produced an error "Invalid MMI code").
I called ATT and got the usual "We have not clue what were are talking about" answers. One lady told me they could see it was still locked, another told me that had no way of even seeing if it was still locked (Im guessing this is probably false).
Anyone seen this before? Or have some advice? I know the real test is to go get another SIM. I tried at work, but most people already had ATT plans, and the others didnt even have SIM cards.
That command always reports that it's unlocked, but it still is locked. Only way to really tell is insert a non-ATT sim on stock rom and you'll get the 'enter network unlock code' prompt. A TMO prepaid sim card is $1 on their website, and they'll ship it to your door for free, plus you get $10 in airtime with it.

[Q] Ripped off by tech guy, please help!

Thank you guys for your site, I've learned so much already. Here's my problem, I took my HTC Inspire to a tech guy to have him unlock the phone (at that time I didn't know that I could just call AT&T and get the unlock code...). The guy said he unlocked the phone but when I tried putting in T-Mobile sim card it would sometimes read and sometimes not. From being on your website, I discovered a few things. First, the phone's software is reading a different IMEI # than what's actually printed on the phone. Also, when I started the phone to see the bootloader, it still showed as locked. However, when I start the phone with a different sim card, the phone does not ask me for an unlock code, it simply either reads or doesn't read (most of the time) the presence of a sim card. I figured the best way to handle this was to use Glevitan's easy unlock tool (since the hack kit is no longer available). However, when his program gets to the part with the token identifier, I was able to copy the token but have a problem with the HTC-DEV website. Either the website says the code was accepted and that an email was sent (which I never receive) or just before getting to the screen to input the token identifier the website says that I'm not logged in (which of course, I am). Anyway, I've been trying to get the email from HTC-DEV for three days now to no avail (I've even tried to tweet HTC-DEV who only resopnded once saying to check my spam folder...). I am hoping someone can help me. I would like to either fully unlock the phone and flash a new ROM or at least get the phone to recognize the correct IMEI and go back to stock to get an unlock code from AT&T. Thanks for reading this long post! Jim
Try using a different email address for the unlock code. Or pm me with your token I'D and ill rum it through the site and pm you back with your token.
Not sent from an Iphone but from a more sophisticated Android device.

Just FYI, glevitan's tool is for bootloader unlock, not SIM unlock. They're separate things. Having never unlocked my SIM card manually, I don't know what's going on with the IMEIs. If your phone sometimes reads an alternate SIM card and sometimes doesn't, I would see if the phone has the same problem with the original SIM card. If it does, it's probably a hardware problem. If that's not the case, if I were in your situation, I'd go yell at the tech guy and try to figure out what he did.

Jim, It seems that the tech guy used a box to modify your IMEI number in order to unlock it. You should use the same method to revert it to stock IMEI and the get the unlock code from your carrier. What I am refering is a JTAG BOX

[Q] Fido to Rogers

Hey guys,
Today I switched from Fido to Rogers. Everywhere I read, people are saying I needed to unlock my SIM, even though it's the same company. So I calculate the unlock code, put in the new card, reboot and everything works out of the box. No need to enter unlock code, in fact I never get prompted for it.
I'm wondering if this is normal? Can I expect issues? I tried calling and data, everything appears ok... even though they have different APNs and settings. I'm running PACMan 4.2 rom.
Thanks!
That because you don't need to unlock for Rogers...same company. Put a tells sim in and you'll get a prompt.
That's what I figured, but Rogers told me I'd have to unlock it.
Thanks for the confirmation.

My note 20 ultra 5g won't display the network unlock code screen any ideas

Ok so I just bought a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G SM-N986W off line and it was working great for about the first month then whenever I tried to send a text or make a call it would say no network found. So after I did some research I found out the phone had been blacklisted and now I can't get a hold of the person that sole it to me but I'm determined to get this phone working again. Now I'm new to all this tech stuff but I'm slowly getting the hang of it. Then after talking to some of my other tech friend I was told that I can get it unblack listed and so I was able to get an unlock code. Now the phone was originally with Rogers so I put in a sim card that's for Bell and restarted the phone which it should have popped up asking for the 'Sim Network Unlock Pin' and it didn't so then I tried entering in #7465625*638*# and then I tried #7465625*638*my unlock code# to which they both were successful but once I tried the phone again it still didn't work and now I'm completely lost on what to do from here so if anyone has any suggestions or any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.
Thx in advance
