Has anyone gotten the Google Talk app to work without constant fc's??

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I meant for any stock rom, or even ICS for that matter. It works fine for me in CM7 as well.
Works fine on rooted stock

I read in a thread earlier, and the thread escapes me now so I apologize, but I think it was the ICS development discussion, that it is FCing due to the camera check on ICS.

I actually saw that pretty much right after I had posted.. I switched away from the ICS build in favor of CM7 for now due to the issues it still has (Video Playback being #1). Hopefully once CM9 hits we'll get a working port.

I saw in another topic where someone said they could trick Netflix into installing on the mesmerize. Which rom would I need to install to do this.
Thanks

With roms like pick n pack and heinz 57 I've gotten netflix to open but not play anything... seems like the newest version won't even open....
However, with MIUI it opens and plays without any trickery involved... you can even get off the android market if you are running MIUI.

Pretty sure it works in the cyanogen mod mtd as well
The definitive answer? You basically need a gingerbread based rom to run it. It won't run on froyo based ones.

I was able to watch Netflix and Stream Media via DFGAS's latest Miui Rom. I am currently watching Iron Man 2.
Also working on CM7, as someone else said.
You can't download the app from the market, though. You need to download the apk...don't remember where I found it, but search around on here. The apk files have been posted in a few locations.
Annoying pop-up saying there's a new version, but it doesn't pop-up while playing, only while browsing.
Quality is excellent via WIFI.
Working on CM7 with one of the modded version from the netflix thread on the general android apps section. No annoying popups, just streaming goodness.

rofl...mumi? Didn't read much, did you? It's miui. they're both stable, miui is more actively updated, thanks to andmer and dfgas, unfortunately jt1134 is working more or less alone on getting cm7 for mes/sc. lmartin92 has started getting some showcase stuff done, so we'll see in the future.

I'm running Heinz 57 v1.2 and have no problems with netflix. No popups, and it streams like a dream. I didn't realize there were problems with netflix on the mes, as I am almost certain I downloaded and ran netflix from the market when I first got the mes about 2-3 weeks ago when it was stock.

Can anyone access Chrome Beta for Android (4.0) from the market? I'm running Kindle Zone, but it's not showing up. If anyone has downloaded it, can you post a link?
thanks much!
http://www.mediafire.com/?iu3mpcbdzrwbdez
On both my htc desire and kindle fire, it doesn't work though, showing a blank white screen when pages load. I think it is due to lack of ha on both ics builds.
thank you so much! I'll give it a try!
it works for me!
edit, no it doesn't. I see program and all the settings and everything, but it doesn't display pages.

F*ck it. Worth a shot. Downloading now.
EDIT: No dice.
Same here. No Chrome on ICS.
Cant seem to get it work on cm7 either...
blank screen for me too. running kang 4.0.3 CM9 build that was downloaded yesterday.
The problem is HWA (as per my post in the ICS dev thread):
"EUREKA EUREKA, although many others have argued this viciously, full HWA is the problem for Chrome not working. My proof? The HTC Desire just received an ICS build with full HWA tonight, and suddenly Chrome is working. So now we know the problem, on to the solution!!"
got it running on EOS ics but looks like no flash support atm :-( or is it just me....

someone worked in a chrome kindle Fire with CM9?
Yeah as far as I know it isn't working due to hardware acceleration, because my friend has an Incredible rooted running a ported ICS (no hardware acceleration), and he has the same blank page issue as we do on the KF. Hopefully we'll get HA soon...
Not available to Skyrocket from Market.
But here's the APK. Gonna try it out tomorrow morning.

Sounds like you might need ICS though.
I should prolly read more of that thread before I install.
Ehh, I got a "parse" error when trying to install the APK.
Ohh well.
I believe its for ics 4.0

Now working on the leaked ICS.
And.... it synced all my desktop Chrome favorites. No more having to use Chromemarks!
Seems to be pretty fast also.
Chrome is supposedly pretty buggy right now.
It has no flash though. That's a huge bummer.
Guess I'll just stick with Quick ICS Browser.
Ran it for a while on my Xoom but the no flash becomes annoying quickly
Works on the leaked Skyrocketed ICS build...

Read the development thread. Though I don't believe that there has been a fix yet, as well, I'm under the impression that it's a problem with ICS, not just HFS.

the chrome browser only works if the device has hardware acceleration fully working. the ics roms that are out for g2x dont have a good working HWA so thats why it wont open or fc's

I tried it about four days ago and too many things were not working.
Besides, anything based on ICS now is really smooth. So smooth doesn't exactly attract my attention anymore.
An "everything is working" phone is much more interesting to me.
Anything else is just fan boy stuff.
