When I use barcode scanning and macro on photos, my infuse can't focus well Barcodes are ok it can capture the moment that the phone focus at the right place, but for macro photo, it can't get the focus done in 90% of the time.
In the beginning I saw the camera keep changing its focus and then focus on a right point, it didn't stop. It would go across the right point finally blur again ,there are two situations:
1. Stop at red box: can't focus.
2. Focus at a wrong distance.
Please help me, I'm not sure if its a defect or software problem.
Thanks
Some sample photos from my rear camera

You might also try focusing on not quite as close as what you're taking a photo of and then snapping the photo of your subject. Sometimes the camera might have a problem with the shadows of what you're trying to take a picture of.
My 7 month old infuse had the same problem. I took it to the local AT&T store, they verified it and called some 800# for me and I received a new phone in 4 days. no charge.
A solution is found!
I understand that this is a super old thread but I suddenly fixed the problem stated above and I remembered my post, expecting this could help a few people.
Setting the camera resolution to 5MP instead of 8MP.
It did work, I hope that it would help people that are still having this problem.

Is there any program that you make a panoramic photo.
Marked a landmark in the picture and you have to follow it and that point is moving in one direction.
Like this http://www.panoman.net/
THANK YOU
Your camera should have a panoramic picture mode depending on your phone.
But this program is to make several successive images but not the only one, as

the one on your phone allows you to take several images and pieces them together, i'm not sure what you are asking
some camera apps don't have that option. you should find a software that can create a panoramic photo from a bunch of other photos.. i do that all the time with my G7 but i have an app suited only for canon cams.

It might be a hardware problem, try to take it back to the vendor. Good luck.
Can anyone help me fix the built in camera app. I stupidly installed the latest Samsung camera app from apk mirror and now it doesn't open.
Thanks

Edit: Fixed by reflashing the ROM I'm using.
Restore the device to factory settings and your done!
Before that make back up anything you need!
Hi all - need answer from older members, googled a bit before no information regardless to my question what i want to know is it problem or not. Is it due f1.9 apertature or no ? Changing 4.3 - 16:9 modes , nothing changes, same effect. I can see it only in close range - 30cm range, like in these photos. Model is international unlocked, 920 android 7 BTU feb22 . Found this only now, by doing macro shots on the table ( have phone for 5 months, under warranty - thats why wanna to hear answers is it a problem, give them to fix it or no, its ok )
I'm receiving this "fish eye effect's" , very small amount of it, near corners - I marked RED or Black color with a line the real position of object in real life and what I get wia phone when I take a picture in 16mp mode or any other mode.

Cam is great but it depends only on lightning condition.

And I will give you honest answer: Its all depend on person who take a picture. :]
Its not a joke, you can have great picture made using even old Sony Ericsson K800i or Nokia N95 because its all depend on person who make it: knowledge of framing, setting up lighting, and most important aspect that most of people dont take in to the account: post-processing.
Yes, editing image after taking it is something normal and SHOULD be made. If would need some really good eye and hand and knowledge of your camera to take perfect picture without editing it later.
Thanks for the replies gents, I ended up buying a note 5 and I'm very happy (old phone) but the eis/ois in video is exceptional.
Seems a great friendly sub forum also
I compare mine to my wife phone galaxy s7 edge, and the p9 bit s7 easily with camera shots especially in light condition, and also in low light condition when using the flash
It seems like the macro ability of this phone is not that great. I'm noticing that my Note 8 was able to get closer and take clearer shots. Is there some magic setting that needs to be set to get macros shots working correctly, or is it another case of it is what it is?
All lens has a fixed minimum focal range. That limitation is physical and by design.

I understand this. I just wasn't sure if there was something that I needed to set to get macro mode to work or if it is automatic.

Try the longest lens, and try adding a slight amount of digital image enlargement around 20% if no dedicated setting is present.
In the camera Photo mode, approach the object within an inch or two. At this distance, a "2x" will appear at the bottom left of the view image. See attached image. Touch the 2x and as instructed, back away a little until the instruction vanishes and the image is in sharp focus then take the picture. Note that this is not an extreme macro. The attached image is burred because it was captured before backing away.
