Just as the thread states, i copied all photos from dcim and deleted, but i must of forgot one that was really special with all my kids in it. Is there any way to recover the lockscreen's photo because the phone is still using it, but i can't find it anywhere?
Anyone here at xda that can help?
Try recuva or easeus data recovery

Move the clock to the bottom and take a screenshot. Also you could use root explorer and find where the lock screen pictures are stored
If you are using widgetlocker, I know you can hide the status bar and delete the lock slider. Than you could take a screen shot.

Or something to lock the current photo app?
Thanks.
I just saw two in the market...sexting vault was one I think. Can't remember the other.
PhotoVault works good. You can hide individual pics, they wont show up in your stock gallery. Have to sign in w/ a password in the app to see the blocked pics....
I recommend photovault "sextingvault" just sounds suspicious. Its the same app. But better name.

The Easy way to hide photos is to mount the sdcard to your computer or use Astro or EStrongs File Explorer and just move all the photos you want hidden to another folder on the sdcard and name the folder .Whatever
Just put a Period . in front of the folder name and the Gallery app will not look for photo's in that folder so it hides them.
All you have to do is navigate to the folder with Astro etc and then view the photos from there.
This is how i hide photo's as most people are not going to go using a file explorer to go find photo's

The absolute easiest and probably best gallery app available is quickpic. It has just what you are looking for.
You can also make any folder hidden by adding * before the folder name.

Audio Manager (Hide it pro). Its awesome! It hides pictures, apps, music, and it even locks any apps you want. Best part, is that the app disguises itself as a volume controller app. Check it out.

download an app called gallery excluder from the play store
it gives you the ability to choose which folders to exclude/view in the gallery app
Put a .nomedia file in a folder to prevent it from beeing scanned

Thanks, just found the folder in internal SD Strange doest show in gallery
Is it possible to change location of screenshots from internal sdcard to external sdcard?
My phone is a rooted S2 i9100, using RR 3.6.1.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
I also would like to know how to change the location. EVerything else is stored on the SD card (tones, camera roll, music, etc...) except screen shots. Is this a tweak or a missed setting somewhere?
Edit: I had mentioned an app I found here, but after having it on my phone longer than ten minutes I would not want anyone to download it, its advertising is invasive.
And thanks to ptcpayme for the heads up before I got back online to change my tune.

Dunno about RR but CyanogenMod stores them in /sdcard/DCIM/Screenshots
Just a word of caution...kater soft app will spam your homescreen and browser homepage
I think you can not
Screen Shot UX
The app called Screen Shot UX allows you to customize the save location.
I noticed that there doesnt seem to be a rotate clockwise/counter clockwise feature in the stock gallery. Clicking edit gives an option to open the image with PS Touch or Paper Artist. There should be an easy way to change image orientation, right?
Sent from my GT-N8010 using xda app-developers app
Sv: Easy way to rotate pictures?
Right! In the stock gallery application, click menu (the three horizontal bars) and rotate image to the left or right. Or don't you have that setting avaliable?
Sent from my GT-N8010 using xda app-developers app
This is a bit strange.
They dont have that feature when in the "screenshots" folder. I didnt bother checking the other folders before, as I thought they would all be the same.
I guess I can bypass that by just moving the pictures to a different folder but still not sure why its not available in that folder.
Sent from my GT-N8010 using xda app-developers app
It turns out that screenshots can't be rotated no matter which folder you place it in.
Sent from my GT-N8010 using xda app-developers app
So actually you can't from the gallery app but a way around it is if you use the Google Photos app, just edit it in there and then you can rotate a screenshot in this way. Not perfect, but a nice workaround.
Who has this problem? Usually when I share from Chrome I get the legendary share via menu and I just dazzle myself sharing left and right now its gone. Instead I get a pop message that says copied to clipboard and I have to go to the app I wanna share it with and paste like I'm an iPhone user or something. Who else has this problem?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
It sounds like you replaced the default share setting. Try opening the Chrome app info and 'Clear defaults'.
I tried that. But I just tried to share fro. The xda app to Pocket which I usually do through the share button now it does the same thing!? Weird!!!
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
This is so weird my share via menu is gone from almost the entire system. I get it when I screen shot from the notification center and in the gallery when I try to share pix or vidz.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
Alright I fixed it. You need to go to Apps I. Settings and go to the 3 dot menu on top right and reset apps preferences like so. Yay!
