*Ignore the Sixaxis part. Does anyone know of any BT controllers/gamepads besides the wiimote that will work with ARHD in conjunction with MHL, or just at all??*
Does anyone know what ROMs both of these will work with?
I'm currently running ARHD 3.6.9 and I know the sixaxis will not work on it, but I haven't gotten my MHL adapter in yet to test it out.
I'm assuming ICS and CM7 will probably work with both.
Anyone know off the top of their head?
I don't know of any other Bluetooth contollers that will work with HTC Sense. There's something about their Bluetooth stack that doesn't play nicely with contollers or any HID for that matter. I can also sadly confirm that all of the ICS roms out there still don't work with the Sixaxis because they are all based off of a leaked Sense rom. That's why I gave up on Sense a while ago. There's nothing I miss about Sense that I can't download as a third party app from the market. Sorry I couldn't have better news. Maybe someone could tell us if that new OnLive controller works with Sense, and hopefully not just for OnLive.

Anyone get the default Android bluetooth stack Bluez on the captivate yet?
nope =(
I am hoping that Cyanogen Mod (when its released) will use the stock Bluez bluetooth stack.
Do we know what stack it is using?
It's a proprietary Samsung stack...
Which is why apps like the wii controller app doesn't comply yet. I am hoping we can get word on this thread of a way maybe before CM6 gets here. I am a bit eager...
Anybody made any progress on this? Hoping to have BT controls soon!!!
CM7 is a success!
Wow it seems like such a long time coming, that I thought I wouldn't care anymore. But Damn! Its great to have Wii Controller Functionality! CM7 actually got all the bluez bluetooth correct! I always figured that if anyone could, they would!
Thank you everyone for keeping up the hope!
One of the biggest reasons I'm aiming for an android phone is the emulators.
I would love to be able to play nes/snes/n64 etc...
I have seen that you can pair a wiimote with a fair amount of android phones, but phones running sense are incompatible from what I've seen.
If the bootloader stays locked for good (no custom roms) is it still possible to get around this?
Or maybe someone could test this with sense 3.0 when they get their sensation.

Your evo doesn't use 3.0 Bluetooth it still uses the old one HTC put in their phones. Someone with a sensation will need to test this. Ports don't use the same Bluetooth as the sensation.

Can you post proof of this?
or proof that htc hasn't updated their bluetooth stack to allow it to function with wiimotes?
It has been like that since HTC Hero and it isnt gonna change until u put out sense
I tried the new gingerbread leaked release which should have support for a mouse like all other gingerbread releases for other phones but when i longpress my mouse found by the O3D i can't choose "Connect". It doesnt exist.
Anyone know anything about this?
hey i try the wii controller but also this is not working i hope someone can fix this
So am I going to be sorely disappointed and my bluetooth keyboard STILL not work? :sigh:
This is terrible news, i was hoping that mouse & keyboard would be working with GB now were are going to have to wait till ICS!!!
Is it possible that the prerelease just doesnt have Bluetooth complete yet???
Atb
Maybe its because no full GB Radio.
So wait for official Release and try again.

HDMI out and bluetooth mouse+keyboard was the reason i bought the optimus 3d...
If this works, then the phone can act like a HTPC.
Anyway, LG can't leave out the bluetooth mouse support when everywhere it says that Gingerbread has that support. Hopefully the full release will have the support.
edit:
I tested this on V18a, currently downloading V21a, going to see if there is support for it there. I'll keep you updated.
edit2:
Nope.. V21a didn't support the mouse either.
Given the CPU power of this phone, I want to use it as a portable emulator station thing. My understanding is that stock-based ROMs (like what I'm running now, Tsugi) work with HDMI but due to LG's wonky BT stack Wii remotes can't connect. On CM7-based ROMs, the BT stack does work with Wiimotes but HDMI out doesn't work (or so I've heard).
Is there any ROM that works with bluetooth controllers, HDMI, and has a decent camera? Right now, I have everything but the BT controller support.
Anything based on CM7 (that included MIUI.) I know because I do it almost daily.

Cm does hdmi out perfectly fine. The only problem you might have is that you can't set the resolution in cm like in stock.
It does? I never knew that. Thanks. I assume it's stuck on 1080p (so it won't work on older 720p HDTVs)?
Would this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1094424) be a decent camera for CM7? Or is there a newer/better one?
Also, on an unrelated note, I remember you tahahawa from U8100 development. It seems a lot of us WIND users went from the U8100 to the P999.

Yeah I had that PoS Huawei, it worked okay. The p999 is a lot better. That camera I believe is quite old, from may. Just use stock or hdr camera from the market. There are a bunch un the market that are pretty good.
So I looked through some cameras and there is still no good video camera... is there any way to get 30fps video in CM7?

Thought it was in there by default
No the stock camera definitely does not do 30fps video. I tried camera zoom fx for photos and it's alright but for videos everything I've tried is sluggish. Might it have to do with the kernel I'm running? So far I've tried faux and Trinity kernels
I don't take much video on my phone, mostly pics. So I can't really help with the video part.
So i just recieved my sensation 4g today and got it updated to ICS.. which will allow me to play console like games on my phone when im away from home sounds great
i go to pair my Universal Onlive Wireless Controller it pairs and trys to connect says its connected and then disconnects ive rebooted and paired and unpaired many times and it still wont work..
anyone know whats going on?
Sense 3-4 has an incomplete Bluetooth stack, no reason why, just means its not compatible with most game controllers.
As its a software issue, flash CyanogenMod 9 Nightlies will make the phone compatible with almost all Bluetooth devices, as cyanogen has a complete Bluetooth stack, Opensensation should be fine, but CyanogenMod official would be best

I'm unsure as to why the stacks are incomplete, probably something to do with getting you to use HTC accessories,
Now that you have CM9, Nintendo Wii controllers will work with an app like Wiimote, these are great for playing game boy emulators, as long as you own the game its not illegal, I still have Pokemon Emerald
PlayStation 3 controllers should also work
