either way is fine, once you're in a "message" or on any screen that will open the keyboard, once its open tap and hold in the text area till you get a pop up asking what "input" to use, and then select the keyboard of your choice, i would flash it though, i flash install everything lol.

I did the "regular" way that you said (the input method) and it was force closing. That's what I meant by it not working lol. Does it work for sure if I flash it?

I installed both ways. It works but fc when I choose vibrate option.

got the keyboard working great, but if i turn on the word suggestion it FC's when i type the 2nd letter of a word. also when I open the dictionary app i get an error that the db file doesn't exist. if i don't turn on the word suggestion it works great but i notice i misspell lol
anyone get the dictionary working?

Cool but the new market wont allow apps bigger than 20 or so mgbs to download.we have one dev that patched it a rom. Do you know if this is fixed for our phones? Its a cache issue

I got the same thing I get the error often with installing apps even though apps from unknown sources in settings is checked. i'm not sure what the issue is?

To those who can't install: since market is a system app you can't just download/run the apk to install it. You want to replace Vending.apk in /system/apps. Either use root explorer or adb.

Has anyone confirmed whether or not these work and if we are able to install large apps/games from the market? If not, does anyone have a copy of the market.apk that I think gtg hacked to allow us to download large apps/games?

Hi first thanks for this good rom. Im new to all of this i just moved from an iphone but beside all of that the ui needs some work i would like to help i have some photoshop skills but
The first thing i want to fix are the icons in the settings meny.
Know the noob quastion comes in how can i find this icons and replace them ? I used file explore but i had no luck. Maybe some one can point me to the right deraction.

First bud....there is nothing to "fix" this rom is gorgeous...second...its not my rom...i just ported it...it was developed by and italian dev group...we dont have permission to change there rom...and you cant change icons with photo shop...they are png files that u have to use apk tool, android utility and ubuntu with root permissions to change...

Lol dam clam down i just didnt like how the icons look ... look at real close u would see the pixsles of the icon. I was just trying to edito and see if the could come any batter i know the are .png files but can i replace them with file explore ?
Im not saying its a bad job just i thought i could help with that .

What is in this build
What i did for the beginning was i tweaked some things to increase the speed and smoothness of the rom but dont think thats all i will be doing .. i plan on growing from this rom by changing the interface of the sms and also including many different launchers from you to choose from

Try changing the extension from .bin to .zip and see if the proper files are inside it. Should also do a md5 checksum to be sure it's right, but I've had a few times where the phone downloads a zip file as a .bin, and chaning the extension was all it took.

if you are having trouble downloading use a different browser or download from computer and see if this helps till the reupload

I'm still a little confused as to what CIUI is, exactly. It's CM7 that's made to look like MIUI, right? Is it strictly cosmetic or does it emulate some of the MIUI innards as well?

What ciui is is having the look and feel of miui and the 4g stability and speed of cm7

It says it may work with ICS as well.

VERY do-able by anyone who can compile. I have yet to find time to set up my box yet, but anyone who has been able to compile from JZO54K should have NO issues diff-ing this over.

If you're wondering where you can get MiLocker, it's on the Play Store for free. Download, install, download the lockscreen you want, apply.

Yea, what he said. Lockscreens can be searched, seen and downloaded from within MiLocker.

I checked the play store and the only mi that pops up is milauncher. There is an mxlocker but no mi. Guess I'm on an unsupported ROM or something?

Google milocker if you can't get it in the play store. There was another app very similar as well but I forget the name of it. I saw it in the android hacking forum under the apps thread

MagicLocker Main by lockscreen.mobi is an app just like MiLocker, has an average rating of 4.3, and was updated just a few minutes ago to version 1.5.7. This is a good alternative to MiLocker IMO if you cannot find it in the Play Store.

Can someone make a flashable zip for this? This is just awesome, but I have no knowledge of using the original patch

A flashable zip of what? The OP asks if someone could port it.

Erm, I mean a flashable zip of the ported version . I looked through the original thread and find it hard to use the diff patch, so even if there is a ported version I won't really be able to apply it, hence the request.

No one has ported it for the Infuse.
