I encourage you to read before posting. This has been discussed many times and the more u read the more you learn. Raver's improvements are built into his amazing rom. Look into voodoo if you choose not to flash the custom roms.

Does rom manager work.. If so what do I do
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA App
no. rom manager does not work for this phone, as it has been stated 10.43 million times.
what you can do is read the bible, do a search, or browse the plethora of guides on how to flash every single rom in this forum.
once you do that, i will be more than willing to help any problems you encounter.

You'll find things are a little different with the 4g than other phones. No ROM manager
Uninstall rom manager.

Hey guys, shoild i use voodoo lagfix
And how to install only the lagfix NOT with thw kernel
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda premium
voodoo lagfix will convert your file system to ext4 and make your phone faster. It is built into the kernel though, so there is no way to install it without installing the custom kernel that includes it.
Not sure what you mean by thw kernel, but most custom kernels that include voodoo lagfix also include cwm recovery.
So what's the risk of flashing a kernel

If its a kernel for this phone, there really isnt any risk.

Root first.

Install kernel.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S_4G#Flashing_a_Kernel
Can i flash a kernel with cwm5 and lagfix with this app? Like this kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21487855
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda premium
Aslong as you are on Gingerbread, you can use Kernel flasher to flash that kernel. That would be the recommend kernel, if not the only one really.
tnx bros
Hey Jules... I noticed the four threads you have started all seem to be questions and you are starting the threads in the general section. I want to give you the heads up there is a Q&A section for you to post in... in case you are unaware.

Though this thread is not about all AOSP ROM's, it does mention Cyanogen Mod. Thank you for that. However, I would be happy with any AOSP ROM.
(except the fake "AOSP Style" ROM)
There is no such thing yet.
There is CM7 in development :

but I wouldn't recommend it if you're not an advanced user who knows what he's doing.

Any general (ballpark even) time frame for when this will be done?
When its done
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA
Just a heads up - people on here HATE to see that question. I recommend you be grateful for what we do have and patient for what is being worked on. Don't ask for timeframes.
OK so I actually posted the link already in different threads, so that everyone can enjoy the developer of this apps awesome work. Enjoy everyone. Thank the dev too he has made some amazing strides with development on this app.
I'll just leave this here for everyone to enjoy.

This has no ill effects against other build prop tweaks or custom kernels?
I mean couldnt some of these tweaks not play nice with tweaks that developers have already made?

It's nice to share things like this but does linking to a dev post actually qualify as a dev post? Lol
No it does not.

I've tested some of the tweaks in the app, and by some I mean two. No ill effects so far.
Also, OP can you change the thread title to some thing like "[APP]Pimp my rom" just saying cause this is a link to the apk version or Pimp My Rom.
