Yeah I do miss it but think about this. Unlike apple iOS, ICS works on both phone and tablet .they took out the 3d because it will look stupid on a tablet. That's why they adopted the honeycomb launcher

I used to run that on GB.
But I really don't want to go back to the old UI. Which is why stock (or at least stock looking) is why I'm not going to aftermarket home launchers.

ADW Ex doesn't change the appearance or operation (except for the app drawer, which is what you want anyway) unless you configure it to do so.
It has been updated to provide added functionality on top of ICS and it is working brilliantly.

Yes lol it may seem silly to you, but I have had no chances to use a honeycomb tablet. You could simply say yes or no and let the thread sink after that.

Nevermind, I took it upon myself to find out, I installed it on the emulator using adb. Thanks for no real help.

Cause I'm using the xda app, which has the worst possible search function on the face of the planet. So instead of posting useless crap, and raising your post count, you could actually try to be helpful. It doesn't hurt anyone to say "Yes, honeycomb supports 3rd party launchers. Please search next time."

I've had adw and lpp on my wifi only uk xoom. Settled on lpp as the app drawer sometimes goes laggy on adw
also there is an issue with ADW and honeycomb.... if it is set as default on most devices when reboot it never gets past the boot animation. Something about ADW not sending out a "hey I'm displayed" flag to activitymanager.
I'm running Continuum 5.5, but no one there can answer this.
My phone has Gingerbread. I want the basic Home launcher. On 2.2, it had 7 pages and everything was good. On 2.3, it has 5 pages, and I am freaking out. Is there any way to get two more pages?
Use the froyo launcher.
you can just pick a different launcher.

Yes, you can.
You can, but I much prefer launcher pro. It took a few minutes to fine tune it to my liking, but it was worth it.

Indeed, I concur.
called DXHOME and its super fast smooth.
throw an ics theme on and your good to go
EDIT: please dont say it looks like an iphone u can use it and with an ics theme (I use an htc sense theme) it does not look like an iphone. its worth it is smoother than spb shell, go launcher, and all the other popular launcher (i have tried almost all of them and all of the ones u guys have mentioned) and has cool 3d effects and is overall a better user experience

Way too many permissions....
Free App....
Looks Chinese....
Do not know the vendor....
iPhone looking icons???
Would not touch this....
Mine is SPB Shell 3D
Yes it is a shell replacement so asks for more permissions than I am usually comfortable giving but.....
You pay for it... to me it means Quality and Support
Have great Widgets bundled with the shell .... get what you pay for
Trusted vendor has been around for years
If I wanted an iPhone, I would have went out and wasted my money on an iPhone. No thanks.

Dx home is the smoothest launcher yet. If you dont want the iphone look...just go to themes and choose border and then transparent and choose regular system icons. You dont need to download an ics theme. Go launcher sucks hard...never liked it. Qq launcher...adw ex...dx home and zeam are easily the best choices.

I'm sticking with Launcher Pro, I just tried Launcher Ex and it doesn't do it for me. I haven't had problems with Pro and I unlocked it to get the Facebook and Twitter widgets. It's smooth, I mainly only use widgets on my screens, only one icon, and use the rotating dock (yes, I know Ex has it also), and it just flat out rocks for me.

Watched the video for it, pretty wild but is too much for me honestly. I like it simple.
Also, the guy holding the phone in the video is obviously a robot because he barely moves his left hand. And ive seen terminator one too many times to know not to trust robots.
I tried it out. Actually a very cool launcher after changing the theme. Very smooth and fast.

I was looking for a nexus experience but didnt want to get a galaxy nexus.
Thats why i would recommend Nova Launcher, Ive watched enough videos
I'm neutral, just looks like plain old touchwiz to me. Like the one we've always had, And I think we expected that. But with the added multitasking features And other added features its beem a pleasurable experience so far And I'm thourghly enjoying it.

I would definitely love you if you get it vanilla. I hate touchwiz, most useless software ever.
BTW you got any ETA as to when its coming out?
I ditched it for Apex. Much nicer.
I've always used launcher pro, so i'm super used to it. I just have it set up to have an ICS feel to it using this guide. I've had this for a while now, but now I actually have true ics

This is what it turns out to look like. Not too shabby, b/c I don't really like Nova or Apex that much.

Yea, the touch whiz completely ruined ICS for me. I had ICS running on my Inspire 4G before I upgraded to the Skyrocket, which was aosp ICS. I could definitely see all the differences straight away, and was quite underwhelmed by the ICS leak. I think some of the best parts of aosp ICS are missing. I used apex launcher for a while to try to make it a bit better, but in the end, went back to my NexusMod 4 backup.
Looking forward to some vanilla ice cream goodness.

Besides the launcher (which I ditched and bought Nova instead), I don't know what else is TW. I have no experience with ICS till today's flash-fest, so it all seems good to me (minus the TW launcher).

The thing that annoys me most about TW on ICS is that they got rid of the settings button in the notification pull down. Like... WHAT THE **** SAMSUNG?

They also hobbled the lock screen. AOSP ICS allows for many music players to have controls on the lock screen. Samsung only supports it's own music player to have controls on it's TW lock screen. I just don't get it, why take away features?
On top of that to still not add a widget (since you are forced to use the stock TW music player to have lock screen controls) for the TW music player is just stupid. Makes you wonder how thought out TW is.
This may be old news for a lot of a people, but since I can't find any mention of it in the G2x Forums, then I figured there were probably still enough people who don't know about it to warrant a new thread.
If you're like me and got tired of the instabilities of ICS roms and switched to a GB one, but missed the look and feel of ICS, then here is your answer:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1636393
Holo Launcher works for 2.2 and above. I've been running it on top of HFP 2.2 for 3 days with no problems. It does a great job of giving you an ICS feel on your GB ROM and also features pinch previews and scrollable docks. I recommend using this with a rom that supports Theme Chooser to fully customize your device and really get that Sandwich feel (or whatever other feel you want )
thats pretty cool, gonna try this when i get home, thanks for posting this!
I've been using it for 2 days and it is nice and gives the same exact feel of stock launcher of 4.0.4 without the lag haha, I wish Widgets would work but it is only a beta ;-)

My current rom supports lockscreen gestures (I use them frequently). And if you hold down on an app from the app drawer, drag it to the delete/trash icon, and hold it there, it turns into an uninstall icon. Note: this only works with downloaded apps and not system apps.***
Oh.. and I appreciate thanks, but if you try the launcher and like it, please show your support and thanks to dev in the original thread linked in the OP. Thanks!
Its Ok, doesn't compare to ADW with the ICS Sqrd paid theme is smooth silky Butter!
I tried this before, it's not bad but I'd rather use GO Launcher EX with an ICS theme. It's just way smoother for my phone.
