[Q] FPse Game Saves - Xperia Play Themes and Apps

First question
I have been looking for a GranTurismo2 game save. I found some in Dexdrive format (.GME) and some in PS3 B/C format (.PSV) None of these seem to work. Do I need a .mcd file? I can't find any for GT2. If any of these can work with PSXperia I would be glad to switch?
Second question
When ever I press Save Game inside GT2 it always says Saving Data Failed. SOLVED
Third question
What is the difference between saving using a specific games save feature and saving from the FPse menu? SOLVED
New Question
What format are PSXPERIA game saves in.
Thank you for your help.

Don't know if this fits .. but you can use the mcd files with epsxemupro on pc... Maybe you can use this posibility to transfer your savestates into the mcd file. You only have to rename the memcard to the name epsxemu used.

Use the Search Feature This has been answered x50!
PSxperia Uses the .mcd or .raw Something Eighter one of them ; This is Not related to a App or theme (A new app or a General Disscusuion on apps)
This should be in Q&A we have had Moderators Ban people because of this its a Simple rule. And It seems that Multiple People cannot Read People on XDA dont have Time for noob Questions use the "Search" Button Can't find it use the questions & answers then.

Writing understandable texts is covered in the rules as well.

Storage/Memory Card Help with HTC-thanks!

This is my first time asking for help on here. One thing I have learned after being on here less than 3 months, is that it drives the XDA techs/experts ABSOLUTELY CRAZY when people ask for help when many of them do NOT bother to take the time to research to see the answers have either already been posted or asked.
Also, many people do not EVEN BOTHER TO RESEARCH for squat..........and that is putting it politely. I have helped provide answers already to some people and ALWAYS do my research first, which is why I have never had to ask for help. So, THANK YOU to all of those who have helped people like me solve simple to complex problems without the need to bother anyone. BUT NOW I NEED HELP...sad to say.......and I should know this but I am confused after spending the last 3 hours reading up and down and typing every which way to find my answer: so any help is much appreciated from me, whom by the way is a huge fan of this site.
-------------------------------------------------
My Question Is This:[/SIZE] How do I use my brand new 16gb storage card to be used as the default for EITHER all files, apps and other things or just for my programs and my documents?????
-------------------------------------------------------------------
So far, I only copied all the My Documents into the storage card. From reading all the other posts, some people just move my doc and programs.
Is there a way I can make the storage card my default my docs and programs? If so, what other apps or files/folders do I need to move over the the storage card that may be associated with these?
I understand some things will use the internal memory on the phone but I would like to AUTOMATICALLY download straight to storage card all programs and use my docs as my DEFAULT.
What registry keys do I need to tap into to change these options and what do I do? I am not worried about the storage card lagging since I use my phone to mainly make calls, but I hate the poor storage on the phone that limits me from downloading all of my favorite tools. I already have some main things I know I will need: Rescoe Explorer and Registy Programs and will be downloading Cab Installation Program.
-------------------------------------------------------
I extremely apologize if my post is long but I rather write it out in plain English and have a few people help me who know what they are doing versus having people not understand the questions (I notice some people do not know how to ask their questions right, which lead to confusing answers and butt jokes from people)..........I prefer the former.
Again, I appreciate all the help I can get. I ask only one last thing, PLEASE if you respond to make sure you know how to answer. I rather prefer the answers from the techs/experts who have already done these on their phones with good results. Thank you XDA for all of your hard work and efforts.

Cheers,
Its great, except this is the questions and answers section, saying google it (without even a proper answer in the list) doesn't necessarily get the job done.
"set ringtone ppc" does the job proper. Everyone knows where google is, they probably used it to find this site. The Purpose of the q&a section is not to promote google traffic. If you are going to refer someone somewhere, please make sure you refering them to exactly the right place.
@questioner
Here are some pieces of software that help you set and further customize windows mobile beyond what it is native to:

I wasn't planning on using it in the Q&A Section of course -
Being a team player!
But it will be fun to use in other cases sometimes. I will of course change the auto google search to be relavant to the topic of discussion and make sure that it directs to helpful links. All in fun

I know with my device - Audio Manager has the feature to set MP3 as ringtone.
You can follwo advice above also - . I suggest using a trimmer program to cut the MP3 to save space on your device though.
Another cool app you might want to take a look at for MP3 ring tones is the mp3 ringtone randomizer found at this link here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=370527
just direct the program to the specified folder with your mp3 ringtones and it will automatically randomize your ringtone for each call. I love this.

Sorry, just trying to be funny, but the first link in the list tells him how to set an MP3 as a ring tone, and the second link in the list tells them how to set a message alert. First two links answered both his questions. What could be better than that ?
This is question and answers, but even so, come on . That is Cell phone 101 , read the manual, do a site search ( I have seen that question a hundred times ) make an effort. In some countries they prohibit you from ever owning a PDA again, for those questions.
Just , seriously, for clarification, are those the types of questions that Q & A forum is for ?
Yup - Any and every member needs to feel that they can ask any question - no matter what - even extreem "Noob" questions in the Q&A section without being flammed. It is asked that every member respect this and if answering a question in the Q&A Section that you don't just say "Search" or "Read the WIKI" but at least provide links to WIKI if you are referring to this. I personally don't see the harm in the link you provided "although funny" serves two purposes. You didn't flame the OP for asking silly question but provided a useful (and funny) link that pointed him in the right direction to answer his question and aslo made a statement that a simple search would have answered the question. I see no harm in that either as there are a lot of people who do not take the time to search for themselves or they just don't know what keywords to use in the search field. (You also provided hints on what kind of search words to use) When I answer questions in the Q&A Section, I Provide links to where they can find their answer to their question or just sometimes answer it right there it it is an easy question; however, after answering I sometimes point out that searching using certain keywords would have yielded results (I like your way better) There are a lot of questions asked that seem rather simple and "Noobish" to us, but to beginner's they need to be shown how to properly use this forum sometimes and I think that the Q&A section is a wonderful thing for everyone because, there is so much to learn and it can be very overwhelming especially for new commers.
This should work for you...
Following the raptious support and humiliation ive suffered, i guess i can only blame myself for not only including what phone i have (htc touch hd) but more so not taking the time to research such questions properly!
Unfortunately i havent had 5 mins to myself to play with all areas of the phone, but now ive managed to sort the ringtone situation out, aided by the mp3 trimmer!
I guess its easy for those high up on knowledge to look down and laugh when you dont know jack, but hey done now, although saying that, i cant find where i can possibly delete some of the ringtones/beeps that come as standard, maybe someone could help me out there? again would be appreciated.

Firstly, have a sense of humor dude, or you won't last very long here
Secondly, find those files in your ringtone folder with file explorer, or in your windows folder, file explorer>my device>windows your files will be in there.
I did laugh at some of the replies mate dont worry, and thank you for your help though, i did try deleting the tones but kept coming up "error deleting file" so i cant delete anyway but thanx

The " base " ringtones that come with the rom, are written into the rom and cannot be deleted. All other tone and notifications can be added and deleted anytime.
alright cheers, but i set couple songs to be ringtones, ive since deleted them from windows media library and on file explorer on the phone, but still they show up as available to choose as a tone????
Yes but did you delete them from the /windows folder, that is where they are played from.
Then Soft reset.
yep i did that, and still there available to choose as tones!

N64oid save files

I think I'm using an old version of N64oid that had different save files so now if I update it I can't load my saves. I was half way through LoZ:OOT and don't want to start over. Is there any way to convert my saves?
It is odd that the old save-game files no longer work, since all versions of N64oid have been based on Mupen64Plus 1.99.4, but I suppose Yongzh may have added some new options to the official save-game file format. He does actively answers questions about his emulator on the SlideME N64oid Discussion tab, so you might try asking there if you don't get any answers.
Additionally, there is a new forum being set up here, but currently doesn't have a lot of members (still, there might be someone on there who knows).

Xap Combinder

Is it possible to combine xaps into one bigger xaps so for example combine 3 differnt games into one game and when the game is launched it will let you select which one of the three games to play or something like that. If this is possible and someone would like to help me make it please tell me.
Also sorry If I posted this in the wrong forum just move it please and dont ban me please

probably better in Q/A.
anyway, I do not believe this is possible or useful. One would have to write a wrapper xap to open the three games to pick from. The closest you can get this to is folders for WP7. you create a group of games that can be opened with one live tile. The live tile opens the group of games from which you pick the one you want to start.
Folders
I know about the folders but I want it to actully merge them into 1 xap. so instead of deploying 3 xaps it would be 1 xap instead
How does that help ? Is there any advantage apart from they being together.
It's theoretically possible, but I doubt it would actually work worth a damn. The combined apps would need to be modified to not overwrite eachothers' IsoStore files, the launcher "glue" module that lets you switch would need to know certain things about each app (like their namespaces and such), and I expect there would be other problems.
I assume this is an effort to get around the unsigned-apps limit. I further assume, from your interesting choice of "Games" as the type of app to combine (of which there are very, very few available as homebrew), that you're trying to cirumvent the exact reason the limit exists. Perhaps I'm wrong, but at present I feel no particular desire to help you. Buy your damn apps of the marketplace - there's no limit on the number of those you can install.
Moved to WP7 Q&A
No questions in the development section please. Don't worry, i don't ban people for such a small mistake. But please think about where you post next time. If your unsure, check the read before posting sticky. All you need to make your decision is in there.
Take it easy

For example I have the battery live tile so that only left me with 2 apps left and then I downloaded a homebrew app called wppersonality or somthing like that and want to keep it but I also want to try alot of homebrew programs plus any programs I make

[Q] Is there an easy way to add a dummy service to an existing application? (for oom)

Hello world,
yes, I used the search function.
Background: (you may wish to skip to the question)
I'm a multitasker and I don't like Android killing my browser if I use one or two other applications for a minute or so, because I lose all my tabs content that way. While that isn't bad having a good network connection, it is real bad in subway train where I usally read news by phone and the internet connection is very bad.
So I tried many different things in order to prevent android from killing my browser, and finally I found a solution in the opera forum:
(I really would like to link you there, but: "To prevent spam on the XDA forums, ALL new users prevented from posting outside links in their messages. After approximately 10 posts, you will be able to post outside links. Thank you for understanding!")
knumsole wrote in Opera forum:
Here, take this: (sorry, can't post link, see above)
This is Opera Mobile 11.5.3, (...). I repackaged it with a dummy service which increases the OOM priority of the application. This will very effectively prevent Android from killing it.

(google for the complete sentences in that quote will lead you there.)
Adding this dummy service changed the applications oom priority from about 7 to 10 (--> gets killed soon to first) to an oom priority of 2 (which is totally stable for me).
[ooms read by auto memory manager.]
Question:
Is there a relative easy way to add a dummy service to an existing application? Such as "knumsole" did described before? (I tried contacting him, but wasn't successful)
I'd like to be able to do that myself, e.g. if I need a newer version of the browser. With "easy", I mean: I'm not an application developer, and I don't intend to become one. But I am able to extract an .apk file and modify text files in there and so. And if it is necessary, I would also compile that, too.
I use Android 4.1.2 on a rooted Samsung Galaxy S2.
Thank you!
