RingAd - Free Recharge [App] [India] - Android Apps and Games

Hello Group,
I am really excited to finally announce the launch of my startup here after being learning so much here. I am founder of RingAd[0], it's an android based ringtone advertisement network.
We have launhced our RingAd android application[1], if you are an android user, you can download it from android market.
RingAd android application, plays ringtones on your phone, directly from our servers and you listen a randomly chosen ringtone each time you get calls, instead of your same ringtone. You get points for listening to ringtone advertisements, these points can be redeemed to get free mobile recharge and discount coupons.
Our idea is to make the mobile phone usage free for everyone, forever. Ad subsidized phone calls has been in to talk since last decade, but no one has done it before, we are trying to disrupt this industry.
We believe that strength of our model is that you as the user is at the centre stage and has the power to control whole experience, this is a totally opt-in service, in contrast to other form of advertisement. We believe that we have solid technology and ethics which are required to make it big.
Finally, I request you to try our app, tell your friends about it and help us spread the word[2]
Cheers
Shree Kant

These ideas only work if there is a large number of users so I would suggest that you advertise this application on facebook as well thing would help make this application viral infections india

wont this use a lot more 3g data?

Really want to see how this works. Unfortunately none of the links are working. Is there any other way to download this app?

[CLOSED] [Q] phone creeper alternative for android

Hello.,
does anybody know if there is a program for the android similar to teh phone creeper for wm6.5
the phone creeper allow easthdropping on phones, phone calls phone locating and so many other features as posted here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=527423
so ......
does this mean, nobody knows or there is no such software?
Im wondering the same thing
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
What does "easthdropping" mean?
By the way the MIUI Phone.apk is able to geo-localize the calls, even if it works in China only (AFAIK)
I'm the developer for the phone creeper and will be launching the android version very soon, however it will be very different. The problem with and hurdle for creating the same functionality on android devices is that (at least that i'm aware) there is no way to completely hide an SMS message from phones. You can instantly read it and delete it as with windows mobile, however there will still be an sms arrived alert in the status bar.
To get around this hurdle i've created a website with a database and webpage front end that will allow for all communications to happen with a combo of SQL and Android Cloud to Device Messaging (C2DM). This will allow for a small footprint quick silent communications. However this also means I need to support a website and database.
This basically adds a large level of complexity and creates various pluses and minuses for everybody. The program will still be free as it has always been, however some of the features and those who want to have viewing and controlling capabilities through the web will be charged a slim fee.
The program will still be completely functional and useful without paying a dime but hopefully enough people will want the extra goodies to pay for the web hosting.
As I said it's mostly complete now and hopefully I'll have a release published here shortly and allow for free web viewing trial also.

That would be wonderful, I usually only create desktop and mobile applications. I don't have that great of an artistic eye and have rarely created any web sites. Currently I'm also using PHP for the website and will probably have to switch from godaddy hosting since they seem VERY slow at hosting any web pages containing scripts.
Maybe you can help me figure out why the logo seems to get cut off in IE6 (looks fine in other browsers.) it appears that displaying the bars are cutting it off since if I disable them it looks fine.
The link is xxxxxx Mod Edit: Link removed.
Whow, talking about privacy and espionage here
In general, Software like this is greatly coded, and requires alot of skill.
But on the other hand, if you use this App to watch / control somebody elses phone, is really awkward... I would be scared to know that a program like this exists and could be activated silently on my phone...
Just my 2 cents, but respect to the one who is able to program such a tool!
how about totalcare?

totalcare is a nice project, but the main differences are:
OverVi3w can be controlled via a webpage or sms.
Overvi3w has many more features
Overvi3w is actually stealthy, unless something is different about totalcare since last time i'd seen it. The message may be instantly deleted, however when you look at the sms history it would still show that it arrived even if you couldn't open it. although you still could see the command and from who is sent.
Overvi3w allows the phone to be controlled from ANY other phone or from the web console. It still uses a password for protection during sms control and to use the web interface it requires the imei (gsm phones) or meid (cdma phones) for extra security.
Anyway, I should be accepting alpha users later this week.
wow it's already have a name. OverVi3w. can't wait. total care just doesn't work on both my phone (gingerbread and froyo).
your phone creeper really great. works even after flashing new rom.
you misspell register on your website.

Thanks.. how embarrassing for me.
I've created a new thread on XDA for anyone interested in becoming an Alpha tester.

Mobile 2.0 - The next step

Today I was able to point out that an app that helps to locate your parked car is inferior to having a system that already knows if you need that data or not. If your smartphone was "smarter" and really "knew" you, the phone would already be prepared to show you where your car was automatically - or not. The reason why I put "or not" is perhaps you are a person who seldom forgets where you parked your car.
In that case you would tell me, "Then I would never have downloaded the app.". But again, your smartphone should be smart enough to know if you need it or not. Having an app in your phone that shows you where your car is located is good. Having a smartphone that knows if you need this guidance or not is much better. This is the "thinking in Mobile 2.0" that needs to start. The user is the focus, the "center of attention" for Mobile 2.0.
So far, the user is not the center of attention on any smartphone. The phone does not recommend apps based on the user, that I know of ( someone correct me if I am wrong ). Sometimes a web site will recommend other apps based on the one chosen.
The web went through a transition from 1.0 to 2.0. Now sites like Facebook and Youtube are the most visited sites on the internet. The surfer became the center of attention on these sites with the content and sometimes even the presentation focused on the visitor. Mobile 2.0 is the beginning of this for mobile, for smartphones.
The idea is this: all major mobile operating systems are created by a group of people believing that the user will be satisfied with it. But this happens automatically with a smartphone that truly knows its user. It is really "smart". You guys make custom ROMS here at XDA, based on what some people request. This is a lot closer to what a person wants on their phone; something tailored to themselves. But a smartphone and mobile operating system that does this automatically is still superior. It is a "make one time and that is it" kind of deal.
It may sound like it will cut out a lot of work for you guys ( and me soon, I am learning Java ) but in fact I can see it is going to create more work. It will just be under a different "umbrella".

I hope I can ( or did ) explain it well enough, there is a part that is not being revealed just yet, to make sure this stays in
the "right" hands. I will put the Indiegogo link in my sig after today. I did not want to put it there initially to not appear to
be spamming the forum.
This forum is #1 for developers, and so much has come out of it for the mobile world. I thought it was appropriate to
begin here.
This new mobile operating system is going to require some "new thinking". It mixes old science with new and I wondered
why no one has thought of it yet. Well, here it is.

Ideas for mobile app

So, I'm in an interface design class and one of the more appealing options for an assignment was to make an application for mobile (we've been given 7 weeks to complete it but need to do at least 500 words of development discussion a week even if I somehow finish before then). I'm both glad this was one of the options as I've wanted to make something for a while now (though I seem to have misplaced my idea list) and a little nervous.
Right now I'm thinking something simple, does anyone have any ideas? This week will primarily be research for the professors journal requirements I think.
I will be happy to answer you
However there is no limit of app ideas, but in a simplest way if you are at the learning stage then I would like to recommend you to create an app with simple functionality with simple UI. Some of the examples I want to suggest here is chat application, book reviews, music app, photo sharing etc
Have you ever done one of these murder mystery dinners? They are pretty great, but usually limited to the one box / set of cards you buy. Maybe there is some benefit in bringing this game to the phone / tablet where you have GPS, camera, etc.?
What would I need in order to make a music or video player, or a chat application?
Sharing data sounds tricky.
Murder Mystery sounds interesting, however as it's a game sounds like I'd have to make a ton more assets to make it worthwhile.
One of the other ideas I had was to make a heartrate monitor with in-built journal. I know several of the monitors on the app store charge for the journaling feature. Alas I know not much about how they function other than they use the camera to measure the pulse in your finger.
PHONE-A-TAXI is an exclusive app that may be used in the event of being stranded. With GPS technology, it would detect the nearest taxi rank for whoever has subscribed to the service. To operate this app, one must telephone the taxi company in order to charter a taxi from the person’s exact location, and send it straight to the passenger.
How you would make money?
The app would be free for consumers but, in order to absorb the marketing costs, the developer could charge taxi firms a monthly subscription fee. They could also utilize the existence of social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc. to promote the app to potential consumers. The bigger the client base, the more you can charge the taxi firm annually, which would also be beneficial to the taxi company.

The Future in an app

Hello girls and guys,
in my opinion we are far enough to create an app that put the future in the pocket of our trousers.
My vision is to pay with this application in every nation because this app could be the start of the new currency of earth.get credits for buying a google play store card and get the value in credits on your account. The banks wont like that because it should be cost free for the customers.
My vision is that the citizen office have all information about me,they should know where i live, what i am earning and what grade of education i got, If i change town they can request the data and i have to confirm that on my phone. Taxes and earnings should be billed by this application to make it fair for everyone to work at another place, another country or work for every day at another company for 3 hours. Everything is registered and accept within seconds and the paper war should end.
Messaging could be revolutionized as well.A pdf letterbox with automatic generated folders help you to keep the official stuff under control, your bank can send you the date and the time for a meeting and with a simple click on yes you have a new event in your calendar.
Politicans and governmets can push simple yes/no/reason why surveys on your phone to improve their leading style and decide about the things that should happen in the state,or city or global.
Did he said global? yes, global desicions for an global government with globalized laws and rights and a global language for an global currency would bring us to nan strong community of earth. Brought by an application, thats the way i imagine the future. Access to tv,radio and libraries save room, sattelites and transmission towers. An open API for companies can give their workers benefits like access to specific books, data about the company,an stock market plugin or connection to distribution software without touching private data on the phone.
If you want to work in an other country the built in english translator will help you to have no language issiues and with sharing your confirmed data your educational work wont get lost because of other school systems. This application is also your global ID card . Trusting in someone could be easier with an application like this.
I am planning to create this app,but maybe you have more ideas that are a total important for an app that bring us in a better society.I also need an developer for this project, maybe you are reading this and want to cooperate. My job is it to collect ideas, bring the finished application to the companies, governments and build a network of all nations, next to my job, to make the future good.
Of course, this sounds like an NSA dream, but if we develope this together in an open source project faster than a big company, than i think we have nothing to worry.
Thank you for your time and comments.

I got fed up with annoying survey calls and shut them down

Hey folks,
I’ve been dealing with these survey calls from Dynata lately. I got called really often. And blocking caller numbers did nothing. So, I’ve spent a lot of time on searching how to end it, and wanted to share this with you guys.
Apparently it’s possible to opt out by calling Dynata up. Here are their contacts. First call did nothing, but after two more they listened. They won’t tell me where they got my number from. My guess is, from public records or bought it from data brokers. Actually, I found my entire profile on Whitepages. So, it’s available even for a ten year old. And there is nothing much to do to prevent it. Only requesting deletion on these sites one by one.
Getting big companies to do what I wanted was a hassle. No surprise there. They kept on writing back that “they will delete my info soon”. Apparently “soon” can be half a year.
So, here are some tools to save you some time, if you’ll decide to delete your info too:
Whitepages opt out form. Here you have to confirm your email and phone number. Which sounds sketchy as you are confirming and serving your info.
Use services that do official requests on behalf of you, like Incogni or PrivacyBee. It’s paid, but it has recurring scans, which is nice.
This one’s not necessary but I recommend it. Put your Google privacy settings on a higher level. Make it synchronize your data less with websites with Activity controls, clear your cookies and cache once in a while, disable your location when you’re not using navigation.
I’m just a noob in this. But I believe we can give those companies a taste of their own medicine. If you have more experience or tips, drop them in the comments.
How about suing them? I think pretty much every regulator in the world has laws for this.
