Da_g Kernel on Rogers SII LTE - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Hey everybody I just got my Skyrocket about a week ago on Rogers. I know the title says AT&T but any help you could give would be great. I know there is a thread about this in android development but limitations wont let me post on there so im starting a new thread to get everybody to put their concerns, comments and if they were able to fix anything while running the new 0.42 and 0.43preV kernels. Hopefully we can help Da_g figure out this SoD thing. I am using System tuner to UV/OC. Thanks (Im a noob so if I am stepping on any toes here please let me know)

im basically tired of this storage issue being extreamly low. and just slow, slow performance.
if possible you can email me @ [email protected]
Hey, just to keep you from getting chastised from XDA moderators, please try not to post the same question twice.
As far as a stable ROM please try my TribU2U v3 using build 28223. Here is the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=591882
No Double Posting.
Do not post "what ROM is the best" threads. Especially in the Development forum. All threads in the Development forum must be development related.

Hey pnr2020...you better high-tail it on outta here!!! This particular forum reads..."No noobs!" and "no device-specific questions". As a fellow noob who has stumbled on his .... here near hamburg in the German droid forums, these guys mean business! Go watch one episode of Dexter! Be scared...be very scared! Meet you in Noobland where we belong!
There are really smart superusers here who, in a fit of either generosity or self-hate, troll the noob section, take lots of aspirin, and answer our classic noob questions like, "If my phone is already rooted, should i wait till fall to pull it out?"
sorry dont want to piss people off where do i post then

that will do the trick mate. good luck

Question about porting a rom

Sorry in advance if this should be in Q&A (mod please move if inappropriate) but my question has to do with development so....
Anyway.. was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of any guides or helpful threads that would help teach me how to port a rom. I am wanting to start to learn how to make custom ROMS and figured this would be a good place to start as the heavy lifting has already been done by the real devs...
Specifically looking to port lets say a nexus S rom for use with the NS4g for now.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give!
I was wondering the same thing. It seems like so much good is coming from the Nexus S section, that I would like to help bring it to the 4g side.

Yes, I know. Me too as well, but there's no guides on porting or I just can't find any. If anyone knows any guides on porting, point us fellows in that direction. thanks!
Man... kinda sux... no one can help at all?
First, this belongs in Q & A, hence no answer , second, it should be pretty easy, nandroid, switch out rild, and rils, make correct edits to build prop, and a kernel for ns4g and you should be good to go.
Are there any guides out there that perhaps detail this process a little bit, I would like to start porting some ns roms over to ns4g. I followed the steps provided by the previous post, and got most everything booting for the new miui rom with ICS however the wifi still doesn't work and it will not allow me to flash a different kernel as afterwards it refuses to boot. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

[Q] how to install a vibrant rom to the sgs4g

hello every one I am posting this thread to ask the developers if someone knows how to port this ROM (Eugene's Alpha 6 11/22/2011):http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1110500. to the SGS4G
This ROM is from the vibrant.
I have try this form http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1099454
but I could not get any benefit and I think something is not correct in the thread.
If someone have an answer about this question it will help a lot of people because everyone wants to get ICS 4.0...
Thank you for your time developers...

Hi guys , new to the forum so sorry if this is a noob question....
I have not rooted my galaxy but I have installed a beta version of ice cream sandwich , however I don't like it and would like to restore my phone to its original setting on gingerbread but not sure how to , I've got my original kernel which is XWKE2 but now stumped what to do next , I've searched through the site , but to be honest I don't know what I'm looking for...

I assume you've got the i9100 model.
The first thing you want to do, is get to the correct forum. General discussion isn't going to be much help for a model-specific question.
The thread you're looking for can be found here.
If you want more information, try searching google for 'samsung galaxy s2 how to return to stock'... or check the 'stickies' in the parent forum to the thread above (stickies = useful threads that have been bookmarked by mods which will always appear at the top of the list of threads in a forum).
The stickies are marked sticky, because they're the FAQs of the forums. I actually have better things to do than hold your hand and guide you through the process. Sorry if I sound like a ****, I really hope this helped, but you've gotta read and research the topic like the rest of us.
what you need to do is flash a stock from back on your device and optionally a rooting kernel ( if you want it rooted of course. if not you can just skip this part).
there's a dedicated thread for this although I'm unsure as to which sub forum it lies. look for 'carrier-branded firmware for odin' and pick the one for o2.
Wrong forum...
Have you tried doing a factory reset? Usually fixes things like this.
