Hi all,
I'm wondering if the Canadian rogers i727R can run the recently released beta Red Sonja- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1368742
Would it be safe to install?
Thanks!

Red Sonja does work on Rogers ....but I don't know about the lte support. Go check the thread I want to say CUE was a Rogers user and he helped beta test it. But he kept having lte issues.

Still no update for my 727r
Rogers is giving me some variant of "It will be released when it's released"
I think a official bug free CM9 might be out before rogers releases this one.

Last week was fuelled by confusion.... There was an ICS update... But not by rogers & not for the sgh-i727r.... The update was for the i900x galaxy Sll... & was released by Bell & Telus.....
I'm looking forward to this week, with one eye closed, so to speak... The rumours abound ever since Samsung's Press Release... Dollars to Donuts... EVERY rogers "customer" will be feverishly checking Kies, to the extent that many will become legally certifiable by Week's end, should no ICS update be available for download

Sean are you helping out with the unofficial cm9 with top by chance? Because your skills shouldn't be wasted on touchwiz
CM9 Skyrocket
Believe me guys, when ics drops for Rogers I'll let u know, being a reliable source and all
I'll also make a full system dump flash able via Odin (tar) that u guys can work off until a more pure source can be found
I swear all of us Canadian i727r owners will have maxed out our bandwidth a couple of times before Rogers releases the update
What gives?
I spoke to a Rogers Tech Rep he said the release had nothing to do with Rogers, what gives? Have I been lied to once again?

Today, as I'm sure you are all well aware of, official ics 4.0.4 made it way to the Rodgers version of the Skyrocket via Samsung Kies. My question is, couldn't devs take the update and remove the CIQ thus allowing its use for ATT / Unlocked users?

What do u mean att update is out. I am of the understanding a new leak is to be unveiled by design gears but that isn't the official "Final" build from Samsung

Give it time, things take time. The as the new update showed it is a newer baseband for rogers as well. The att and rogers are close to the same (radio is not) it just released today give the devs some time to cook things up

I took my rogers sg2 lte i727R to a guy who I'm assuming flashed a telus radio. I had him do this that I can use it on WIND mobile and it works 100% on WIND. My question is can I upgrade to ics or even a custom rom without losing or disabling what he did.
model number
sgh i727r
android version
2.3.5
baseband version
T989DTLKJ3
kernel version
2.6.35.11
build number
GINGERBREAD.RUXKJ7
I'm also wondering if there is a different radio or modem, whatever it may be that I can flash that would work a bit better than this one. Thanks guys.

(edit) Also, how do I find out what modem version I am currently using, so I dont try it again if trial-error comes up?
