I want to install applications into memory card not into the internal memory. Can someone help me to find a way? Or is there any option aside from darktremor a2sd? By the way, I'm running Cyanogen Mod 7.2 on my device....

use Move to SD enabler the apps which were otherwise not movale can be moved now
however moving apps which display widgets to sd will cause the widget to malfunction

hi im currently on the latest cyanogen mod and i have installed user.conif creator. I want to know the reccomended settings because there are a lot of things there that i Kinda dont understand.

Yes your ext and fat can be any size. The app can activate/enable swap, not sure if cyan needs swap though.
You shouldn't be on ext 4 ext, 2 or 3 is best
hi guys while i am installing apps they are getting installed in the phone memory plz tell me the way to get then installed in my memory card
Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > [App you want to move] > Move to SD card
Simple as that, although not all apps can be moved, depending on what ROM youre using.
Cyanogenmod 7 also has a setting to automatically install all apps to the SD card, but that really isnt always the best option.
You need the App 2 SD app.

You are right. It is not required, still very useful.

not to move install apps..
or back up installed apps..

BUT, because i'm a noob in XDA and the XDA doesn't let me post until i have the 10 post's, I have to post the help question here...
I send 2 or 3 HELP PM's to kyrillos but he didn't answer me back...
I'm using KYRILLO'S ROM 9.3 JPU, and when I install any app (and I've moved all apps to SD CARD) , SD card memory is used as normally...but some memory of the phone is being used also... Resuming I'm having phone's memory space problems, as an example, I inistalled an app (4,5 MB) moved to SD, (4,5 MB) used on SD + (4,5 MB) used on internal memory, BUT I've uninstalled the APP and the internal memory space didn't increased back.
Note: I didn't install or modified anything...for example "Enable Hybrid Data2sd"
Hope you can help me, and if you do, pls do it step by step, as i said...i'm a noob ty

I had the same problem....
Then I updated to the latest version and didn't have any problems....
I am no longer using Kyrillos' ROM so I don't really know if the problem still persists....

I dont think its possible to increase the internal memory as its already set by the comopany..
u can get apps that clear the space to free the memory bt i think there are no scripts to Increase Internal Memory.

link2sd has been working fine so far with android 4.x.. check out the sticky in general section about how to setup and use link2sd
you can also try memory hacks for JB from mini forums at your own risk!

check out the guide written by a.cid in the general forum..it will guide you in the initial steps.
Then you need to choose your one favourite script according to your need (link2sd works on almost all roms)
some of the scripts are a2sd, s2e and cron mod. Search for them on xda (sorry i never use any,so can't tell you what to do exactly)
and use these scripts only if you have +4gb card with class 4+
and obviously there are some drawbacks..
phone becomes slow and life of sdcard decreases..

It's related to your rom that can or can not support swap and also your memory class 9 you need a high class one )
partion memory :
Fat32 : Most of it
Ext2/3/4 : remaining ( more than 200 mb I think )

I think you can use swap with a supported ram like cm 7 official
Most roms support swap
But its disabled by default in most of em, you need to enable it manually via terminal, provided you have a swap partition...
That is, a total of 3 primary partition...
One fat32 for mass storage, ext 1/2/3 for sd-ext and another one for swap...

I'm interested for the CM 10 of TheWhisp.
On CM 7 S2E and A2SD working, but on CM 10 it don't working.

This is pretty much all u need to know... i personally wouldn't recommend using swap simply coz sd is much slower than phone ram.
Considering link2sd, i was thrilled when found it, coz i allways had problems with lack of internal memory in gfit. Even with my 8 gb sd class 4 i dont see it is much slower now than before. I guess its because i allways had almost full internal memory.
Btw, i have 1gb ext4 partition and for me works like charm... Like I said, was a revelation when found about it.
So, since u have custom rom and managed to make it work, do some more searching on xda forums and u will find best working solution for you.

I on CM 10 Fit 20120908 use Link2SD and all working fine.
I'm with Mini Tool Partition Wizard Home Edition made FAT32 and ext4 without swap.

A2SD don't works on JB for me. I used Link2SD and all works for me.

So I am having a bit of trouble, and think I'm just missing something. I want too move some apps to my SD. I've created a partition on my external SD with the minipartition creator. I've tossed app manager3 and apps2sd on my tab. But I can't get anything to move. I'm on CM 11. Any help would be much appreciated.
