Hey, has anyone tried any SIP clients on any of these builds? None of them seem to work -
SIPdroid - I know this worked prior to the 3.0 kernels. My roomie is running it just fine on V26, but since I updated to V40, no dice.
3CXPhone - No dice, won't even register.
CSipSimple - Registers, but doesn't make called
Built in ICS Sip Accounts - Not really sure, I entered my info and it says "Dialing" but never actually rings
Is this a problem with ICS where something changed? I'm no dev, but I've troubleshot the best I can, can anyone confirm if their Pbxes accounts work or not?
I used Sipdroid to link my Google Voice with my pbxes account.
I'm running oICS V40 with Glados 2.1. I never update over a previous version, I full wipe for every rom. Everything else works wonderfully
On 4.0.1 it was working correctly on my I 9023
Didn't yet tried to setup my account into the official build, will try it soon

Right, it was working fine on my 4G on 4.0.1 as well as my roomies who's currently on that. Once I got up to 4.0.3, it seems to kill all SIP or VOIP. I'd guess it's something from the old kernels to the 3.0
Can anyone confirm or have a work around?

I haven't attempt to get the Sprint Visual Voicemail working on AOSP 1.6, but I will attempt to get it working, once quiet releases the update to AOSP 1.6 later this week.
Good Luck. I have been working on getting it working on 2.1 and ASOP 2.0...yeah...about that. Lots of variables in play

Ok thanks!!! i have the app on my phone already i guess it just needs some programing internally..
Anyone making progress on this?
I'm loving running 1.6, even though it's AOSP. Everything is great except I really like VisualVM.
I can't even find the apk to try...advice?

Since I have my voicemail re-assigned to Google Voice, no more worries of Sprint's version. Give it a shot, the app is awesome!

Everything but the speaker in the phone app works for me. I just did a backup, wipe (from recovery), and flashed.

Got specifics on setting up GV's VisualVM going properly? All I would want from GV is the VisualVM. No need for any of the other stuff (calls etc.)
I'll play with it a bit now
I have changed over my voicemail to Google Voice and that seems to be the way to go for all platforms. I have even stopped giving out my regular phone number and instead opt to point people to the gv.
i am curios to know this too. I believed that the message sprint sends to triger visual voicemail was a MMS. Now that MMS has been resolved for this ROM, is visual voicemail working? Anyone tried it?
All you have to do to get the your VM to go to your GVoice acct is log into your GVoice acct on the computer, go to Settings & there will be an option, with instructions, on how to activate/setup it up.
Awesome. Apparently it was working for a good 30mins before I realized it haha.
I like this! I left myself a VM and got an email notification of it (on my phone) before I even opened the Voice app on the phone to make it check for VMs more often heh.
I'd use GV for VM over the Sprint one any day and on any ROM.

Thanks to him Ive successfully been able to fix the bluetooth voice earpiece feature that was not working on the Rom in the signature.
Ive flashed my share of Froyo Roms and it seems that a lot of them have the same problem as well as some Gingerbread maybe.
The idea is to push the call/end button on your bluetooth connected earpiece to do various call related features without having to grab your phone, its all controlled via voice command.
Many people have been looking for a fix for this.. well here it is.
Directions:
Flash via CWM, reboot and you should have the feature fully functional.

Wow, this is fantastic. I was following the info posted in that AR 3.2 thread, so I'm happy to see something posted.
I'll give this a try tonight.

I'm running RCMix 5.3 and the BT voice dialer works alright for me. Do I need this fix? The one thing I'd really like from the current ROM for BT voice dialing is to have a tone to cue me when the applet is ready to listen.

I am running AR 5.1.3. Voice dial works fine from the phone but when I try to initiate it from my bluetooth headset I get a Force Close of processcom.android.voicedialer. I uninstalled voice dialer with TB and then installed the bluetooth voice dialer from this thread via CWM and I still get the force close when initiating from my bluetooth.
Any ideas on how I can fix this other than flashing a new rom?
Okay I just flashed to LeeDroid which claims to have fixed the Bluetooth Voice Dial Problem and I still get a force close when initiating it from my headset.
Anyone have any ideas please????
Wow this is cool to have. Im not having much accuracy though. Ive got a 2 year old Jawbone Prime so my bets are that its the problem. Looks cool but hasnt played nice since day one. Anyhow this does work if you got a decent headset
Did you ever figure this out?

I'm having the same problem and would really like to see this fixed. When I tap the voice dialer app on the phone, it works as it should. However, it always FC when pressing the bluetooth button. I think the settings file associated with connecting the bluetooth button to the app is the problem, but I don't know what file it is or how to make it better.

Download Cyberon Voice from the market. It does cost a couple of bucks but it makes all problem go away on every rom you need BT with. At least for me it did!

missing voice dialer
I tried to flash it, and it didn't do anything. I'm using Virtuous Unity v1.27.0. I even tried to extract the app from the zip (which currently doesn't exist on my phone) and install that way, but it says "application not installed". Nothing happens at all when i hit the button on my bluetooth. With the stock rom, before installing VU, it would pull up the voice dialer. But i can't even install it now. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!
EDIT: Got it to install, but now it force closes when I try to use it, with or without a bluetooth headset.
awesome!!!!!
I'm running AHD 6.1 but it lacks the ability to let bluetooth headset to do voice command. but after i flashed this it worked out fine!!
and btw im using vlingo to do voice dialing, its an awesome app!!

Will this work with Gingerbread ROMs? mike1986's current DHD/Inspire4G ROM does not support voice dialing via bluetooth. Kind of a pain in the rear not having it!

The post before yours says they're running "AHD" 6.1 with this dialer and it works fine. I'm assuming this was supposed to be ARHD 6.1 which is a GB ROM

Yeah, I wasn't clear. I figured it would work since it worked on the one before, but I wasn't sure if the previous post was confirming 6.1.0 or 6.1.1. So, I'm hoping for 6.1.1 support confirmation so I don't brick this puppy.

6.1.0 was the first version of his new base (2.3.5GB based on HTC 3.06.405.1)
6.1.1 is the same base with updates/enhancements from mike1986. I can't imagine this would bork you. If you're too worried, make a backup. This isn't going to brick your phone to a point where you can't get to recovery and flash your backup

Right. That was my assumption and my plan once I got home tonight to do that assuming no-one confirmed it for me. Will flash after while and edit post with results.
I flashed this to arhd 6.1.1. It don't work. App did not appear to be installed. I tried installing the apk and it would just say application not installed.
So it appears to be a no go.

Does anyone else have the problem with the newest version of skype where it installs properly but you can't sign in over wifi or 3g? It just hangs on "signing in" and "cancelling" if you go back. I'm running the latest release of CM7
Works fine here with CM7.
Hi,
Since Gingerbread came out the built in email client has stopped working with Exchange with encryption turned on. Does anyone know if there is a rom that supports this or is there a Froyo rom that I could try on my HTC EVO Shift?
Thanks
Not sure but at my old job I used MikShifted G, and it worked with Exchange and encryption turned on. You didn't mention what Rom your running. But have you talked with your IT people to make sure your device has permission? If your going to try Froyo, I also had no issues using MikShift v1.1. Hope that helps
I see this mentioned in various posts...but can we get a single thread started where we address this issue if it hasn't been addressed already. I need this working for me bad! I noticed some have gone back to Gingerbread...which I will more than likely do but I dislike Gingerbread! I'd rather stay with ICS only if I can get MS Exchange working. It prompts me to invoke security settings but takes me to storage settings???? I have seen where someone even went threw this but it still did not work. I still get the constant bubble at the top of my phone stating that MS Exchange is unable to sync because security settings haven't been enabled. With Gingerbread all you had to do was hit activate then put a pin in and wow your done....with ICS it does not do this...
I run ICS AOSP on my HD2 and it syncs with our Exchange server perfectly. What's the problem?

1. Wrong AREA to post
2. You're using a beta rom, so go back to GB
3. Use a different client in ICS
What do you recommend me using. Aren't they all BETA's?
I use stock email from ics and push mail working good with HTML support.
I have an HTC Sensation and I cannot get it to sync on a fresh flash. Using ICS Stock email
InsertCoin 4.1.1 Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3 – Full Rom
Works flawlessly with Exchange Sync to what I believe is version 2010
/olme
The issue is with the HTC Sense 3.5 email client. I heard the native ICS email client works.
I have used the built in client in this version of ICS as well as the Sense 3.5 client both with ICS and GB. I have no problems with syncing with a Exchange 2010 server.
On some setups I found the activation screen for the Exchange security flew by quickly after I gave the entry a name..It showed up in the notification tray so I was able to roll down the notification click on the entry and activate it. I suspect if you reboot before activating you might be toast.
If you still are having problems try Touchdown for Smartphones..I found it works very well..in some ways it has better features than the built in client. Worth the 20 bucks.

I should have said I am currently using Megadroid ICS 4.0.3 v 1.4.2
Storage encryption.
Hello,
Mine works. I had to tick the storage encryption.
Beware though.
Enabling encryption on the SD card will WIPE ALL the data on the card without any notice (as far as I remember).
Make a backup of your SD card prior to encrypting.
Should you go back to GB for any reason, you will have to un-encrypt the SD card and that will wipe the card too!
Cheers.

I had an issue with exchange, setup went well to the point to activate securety settings.
it just stopped there and would not activate.
i found out that due to extensive flashing i had used up the max numer of devices on exchange server. Luckely i have my on exchange server so i could reset the device amount.
When this was done the setup went like normal.
Exchange settings don't stick for long
Hi, I too use Exchange on ICS and have had no real issues except this one:
I change the default sync settings from 15mins/1hour to push/manual. Frequently this resets again to the default settings.
Anyone know why this is?
Can I tweak an ini file or is something else causing this?
Hope someone can help as it is becoming quite irritating.
This problem only happens with Hotmail/Live Mail. But you have a point, it's quite annoying. And you can't set it to HTML! This option is greyed out.

Hi, a suggestion for you!
And maybe op and others to try
I also had sync issues with ICS and Sense 3.5/6 and 4, they always reverted back to 15 min, 5kb etc.
But surprise surprise! Baadnewz's Sense 4 beta10 includes a fix for this!!!
I can set options like sync every hour, full message download and they stick!
Even upon reboot
Finally HTC became aware of the issue (and did something about it), maybe it solves issues for op as wel..

Exchange Server 2010 (14.01.0339.001)
ARHD 6.5.2 XE, kernel SebastianFM v1.30.2 - 1782 MHz
Default email client works perfectly fine. Push email works, limit set to 5kb by default, format HTML. Settings presist through a reboot. Contacts/mail/tasks/calendar are in sync, no problems.
6.5.2 was installed for the 1-st time. I had stock rom/kernel/radio. So you might want to try perform a super-wipe, flash ROM again and install the latest kernel. Also to help you pinpoint the issue, logs from the gateway and the device would help i guess. Exchange ActiveSync is quite weird sometimes, worce is only RPCoHTTP, heh.
EDIT: Also after preforming a clean install of the system, don't restore anything from backup. Test if it works in default configuration. I ran into a few problems after restoring settings from titanium backup.
