I think it's kinda expensive, so I haven't tried it yet and I am still not bothered by the back button yet. Maybe someone else will find this useful.
Nice find.
only if it had sync of any sorts...
After upgrading firmware, s-memo works fine. No palm troubles. And while you are writing on it, back key doesn't work.
Which firmware did you use? Very keen to upgrade if the back key really is not active in s-memo

Have a look at "Free note"
which is also working nicely with the stylus.
Your just need to go to the settings - Editor - Stylus and select "Stylus only" to make sure that on the large Note screen you do not make inputs with your hand.
The UI could be improofed but the functionality is great.

I purchased, didn't find useful, it's just an imitation of s-memo, asked dev and had it refunded. Had there been a sync option, i would have kept it

Among other new features, the new version of Jotter uploads your notebooks as PDFs to Google docs. You however need to have the free Google docs app installed.

Sync is supposed to be 2-way. Otherwise it is called export.
I like the Jotter app... very simple to use. Sure... not the cheapest app around but it's really not THAT much money either
Still wouldn't mind knowing about more drawing/note taking apps that can turn off the capacitive digitizer and only use the S-pen for input.
That would be a killer app btw... a utility that toggled capacitive input on/off

I will pay $10 im sure you can get allot of people to pay up and make a nice mint on a keyboard that should not be to difficult
I'll Throw $10 for a virtual keyboard. But it has to be like the Iphone's VK not the WinMo one!
Im in.. Paypal $10

Yeah... I think I would rather wait. Also a shapewriter keyboard would be cool.
You dont have to donate $10, isn't a few dollars worth not waiting for the keyboard in jan/feb?
I want a SureType virtual keyboard, I really liked the HTC Diamond keyboard with the 20 key input.
I looked into making a virtual keyboard but it's pretty difficult due to the constraints of the SDK. You have no way of capturing key events from other applications and there is no way to hook into key events. You can easily make an application that displays a virtual keyboard but it will only be used for your application only. It will not be able to integrate with the browser, messaging, or dialer apps.
I think I'll wait

Hey Everyone,
Just wondering what everyone is using as there Dialer??
The Stock one is quite sad considering that you have to click like a few times to call someone...
Is there a application out there that displays all your contacts and you just have to press once on the name to dial?? ( Not like MeContacts that only displays so many for speed dialing)
I was looking at Dialer one but can't seem to download it...seems discontinued or something...
Please give your preference and if you can, why you chose it.
Thank you all for your input.
Chad
check out superdial
There is 2 in the market place at the moment,
1 that is a paid version but says it's for chinese users but we can use it still and the 2nd one has bugs in it and isn't being continued?

me too looking for something like this , checked superdial, not so impressive though.
Check out Youlu. A number of Android sites have recommended it. I just installed it, and though it could use more options (such as disabling dial-sounds, and hiding of email-only contacts), it looks nice.
wow this is actually better than atakephone, i kinda regret paying for it now!
I always had hard time searching contacts to dial.
I used modified acontacts on my donuts. But im now using Dialer One.
It have call log, dialer. contacts at once. easy to use. and its Free
Try it

Going to try Youlu and Dialer one out right now and see which one I like better!
Another vote for Superdial. I've been using it for a few months now, can't live without it. It's definitely one of the best dialers out there.
My main concern is having quick and easy access to contacts without having to click through 17 menus to get to them. I simply start spelling the name of the contact and it appears, tap their name and it's calling. Takes a mere 2 seconds before I'm calling the person I want.
Ok so i need to setup appointments, these almost always happen 4 weeks apart. Would be nice to have an app that lets me set the repetition as 4 weeks. Google calendar on my computer does it, but i can't find a calendar on android with this option.
Here's to hoping somebody has seen this and can help me out, thanks
Try Business Calendar
I use that program a lot, it however doesn't suit this need
If you use Google Calendar it will allow you to pick the repeat intervals... it has an option to popup on your phone and/or email. Works great.

Correct me if I'm wrong but that looks like a desktop version, to use the desktop version on my phone is clunky at best, and the mobile version doesn't have that option. So what I'm looking for is an app with those options.
Thanks
Touch calender does what you want and sync to your gmail calender.

Business calendar does do this. When you create your entry at the bottom select weekly. Under that there is a box that you can select every 4 week's plus an end date if needed.

Touch is a nice cal. Thanks for that.
And thanks for showing me how to do this in business cal. Makes sense now but i would've never figured that out

Simple question, I've tried to install the apk normally and also place it in the /system/app folder with executable rights...no go.

Since I don't use gesture typing of any sort, the new keyboard simply brings a better UI (to me anyway) compared to the other stock keyboards. The ONLY gripe I would have is that there is no separation between keys, meaning it looks like one flat pad with letters and no lines. Looks/works beautifully though.

It's the exact same keyboard, it just adds an extra "theme" in Google Keyboard settings > Advanced > Color Scheme, named "Material". Choose that one.

If you are looking for a note app with all record methods, MixNote is the perfect choice. MixNote supports text, to-do-list, picture and recording voice. And it is highly intuitive and beautifully designed.

When you have a work plan, click the to-do icon to write all things done and put it in Home for reminder. When you are too busy to type, then create a voice note. You can even type while recording voice.
Notes are generally cataloged by TODO, audio and picture. You can put a tag for each note according to your needs. Search by tag or keyword can help you find a note quickly.
MixNote has an amazing feature. It is recording voice when calling. With that, no more hurry to find pen and memo to write a message, just need to shake the phone when calling.
If you are concerned about your privacy, MixNote can also handle that. Lock and hide a note. For more security, there are password lock, pattern lock and fingerprint lock, provided by AppLock.
MixNote allows you to share notes by text or picture, so your ideas and thoughts can be shared to Facebook and Twitter .etc in any time.
With a current Play Store rating of 4.4 stars, it's the only note app you'll ever need. Try it out for yourself.

I must agree. Overall it is a very nice App and I am on the verge of switching from my current note-app
But there appear to be some performance issues on some phones. It works fine on my Xperia Z5, but on my GF's older Galaxy S4 mini it is a little slow. Maybe there is some optimization that can be done...
