Wondering if I update my wife's G2X baseband to the latest, will I still be able to use a 2.2 Froyo Rom and not have any problems?
(this would be if my wife doesn't fully like a Gingerbread Rom with the modded LG camera and would want to go back to to a Froyo Rom where the camera is fully working).

Yes, you can update to new baseband using LG Updater or OTA update then install CWM and downgrade rom back to Froyo with no problems and improved wifi and gps performance.
Thanks so much.

Now that ICS is officially out, which android version you use with your nexus s device ?
i got ICS stock, with stock kernel...running fine, not like ginger but good enough for daily use
Manually upgraded to ICS 4.0.3 from GB 2.3.6 . Only battery issue so far and another thing, there is a strange lag when pressing call button from contacts app - sometimes it takes up to 7-8 seconds before call starts.
Nexus S (I9023) ICS 4.0.3 (CyanogenMod 9 Alpha 18 + Matr1x v13)
I'm using Stock ICS 4.0.3 and Stock Kernel... don't really like custom rooms filled with stuff i don't use and custom launchers that most of the times get laggy ...
In the future i might change to MIUI 4.
ICS 4.0.3 completely stock and unrooted.
A little laggy at times and battery life isn't quite as good as it was with GB but, browser aside which is ****, reasonably happy with it.

No official ICS for NS4G, so back and fourth between oICS and cm7 nightly.

Considering the Nexus S shipped with Gingerbread... that's quite a feat.
not official OTA for my 9020a, but running near stock with kustom kream rom. love it. runs pretty smooth for me
Running on stock ICS with eugene373's Kernel 3.x
Stock ICS 4.0.3, GlaDOS v2.5 ;-)
Stock GB 2.3.6 !!
Sph33r 4.0.3 with GLaDOS 2.5 kernel.
Oh so no one uses Froyo on their Nexus S?
Stock ICS, Stock kernel.
Actually reading negative reviews about ICS surprising me, on my device it is very smooth no lags at all, battery life is excellent it is lasting for 19 hours at least with normal use and 3g is always on.
my device is I9020T.

Stock, rooted 2.3.7
Every ICS ROM I've tried has problems. Either crashes, battery life issues, or other annoyances that drive me insane enough to not want to use ICS yet.
Right now I'm in Android heaven with 2.3.7 and ADW EX. Always smooth as butter and ZERO problems.
CM9 kang by @gearheadbread on Twitter. His builds are really nice.
(as you can see I'm posting from my Sensation, although I'm talking about my Nexus S)

Stock 4.0.3 unrooted.
I am extremely happy with ICS and have not had any problems with it. Don't think I would ever go back to gingerbread.
i updated from ics 4.0.3 to ics 4.0.4 stock..
when i tried to start wifi its didnt work...
what can i do? i have nexus s i9023
you should flash full rom 4.0.4...
I just bought an i9020A. It came with Android 2.3.4. So I downloaded the update.zip files and first updated it to 2.3.6 using stock recovery, and then updated to 4.0.4 (IMM76D) using stock recovery.
Am I now running the newest version of ICS available for a stock/unrooted Nexus S? I believe I am, but I see that some of the custom ROMs have IMM76I and I just want to make sure that IMM76D is the newest version for stock/unrooted.
Thanks!

Anyone have news on when the 7.7 tab having jellybean ota update?
Sent from my ST18i using xda premium
There is no news about samsung giving the tab 7.7 an update to JB.
For now the only solution is to install a custom rom AOSP or CYANOGEN.
I am with the 4.1 custom Rom Nexness v2.0.
Happy with it but GPS is not fixing..
Do not want downgrade to ICS.
Do you have info any Custom JB Rom works for all features as well as GPS ?
