Hello i am looking for the htc sensation 4g stock rom with s-on most of the ones i have found or seen dont work am i doing something worng i can not get the OTA update to install i have clockwork recovery with s-off i just need a working stock rom with s on or factory rom to get this update i am in the us and i have T-mobile please let me know if there is a rom or anything that works for sure thank you

I wanted to unroot my HTC Sensation XE.
I want to make sure that i wont be bricking my phone.
At this moment i have downloaded the RUU:

is this the right RUU for my phone ? i have restored it to stock now and at software it says 1.73.401.4 , also my phone is a Europe version i suppose since i bought it here.
Do i have to use this ROM to get it back to unrooted stock?

did it work for u? i am also having a problem because i want to unroot and go back to the stock rom of sensation xe but i dont know how to do it..im new to this and its just that i bought a used phone but unfortunately its already rooted and has custom rom "revolution 3.6.8"...im having a problem with it and it is lagging everytime.....please HELP the newbie!

I've got an HTC Sensation XE (GSM) on Orange UK. Intelligently, I didn't back up the stock ROM before flashing a new one on there. Anyone know how I might get hold of the Orange branded ROM for my phone? Failing that just a stock HTC ROM? Feel pretty let down by a few apps refusing to work on a rooted phone.

I can't use PG58IMG!
I'm S-ON , and can't install any custom ROM with ICS. Maybe I can install GB, but I prefer ICS.
I would like to use ICS, root or unrooted is wayne ^_^

Hi,
First you must s-off HERE
For the recovery,use 5.0.2.0 HERE
Then ,get your ROM HERE
And use this guide HERE
A lot of work.
A lot of reading.
Do not skip ANY steps.
Read carefully,and you should be OK.
quick answer - there isn't an official ICS RUU yet, only beta ones
Can't go S-OFF. I'm on HBOOT 1.23, which is unsupported from revolutionary.
There is no official RUU? I thought HTC had released an Official RUU?!
Are there any beta RUU's?
Beta RUUs are in the Shipped-ROMs thread but come with HBOOT 1.27.0000 which you still can't S-OFF - you need to wait for Revolutionary to udpate to get S-OFF
I'm not able to flash an ICS Beta RUU?
My Sensation only have to run, I would like to sell it.

And you can't sell it on a beta RUU either!!! That's just lying to get a sell!

Hi all, I just got a Senation XE which is branded with o2. I would like to debrand it and put a stock debranded release of ICS onto it.
How do I go about doing this? Should I use htcdev.com to get s-off or revolutionary.io?
After I'm s-off can I install a custom recovery and do a nandbackup of my current rom and then flash a new one?

When you use the thread suggested by RGunturi,You will need the 5.0.2.0 recovery from HERE
If you then want to install ICS,then,the best guide is HERE

I tried footballs post and it wasn't there so I was wondering if anybody knows how to get it
My Desire S is rooted, S-OFF, unlocked boot loader and running custom rom and recovery
This might just be a stupid question but I am quite unfamiliar in some ways with the world of developing

Why would you want to get back to stock? And if you still want to, just run the official GB RUU, which is debranded with no Orange bloatware.

I have changed my mind now and I'm using the viper saga rom which is brilliant but thanks for the reply anyway

I poses the mighty sensation xe, with an unlocked bootloader throught HTC Dev and it is S-ON.
I am currently running CM11. I was wondering in order to S-OFF the phone can I do it on the custom ROM ?
Or do I need to be stock.
