protective plastic case to carry extra battery - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

I was seeking something to protect my extra battery and I found this.
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/120774619554?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
it is a small plastic box for AAA and AA batteries. Because of that, the box is at least 3 times the thickness of the battery but the inside of the box matches perfectly the size of the battery.

Looking for a carry case for extra battery

I bought an extra battery, but I am looking for a protective case to carry it with me, something to protect the connections.
Any ideas :?:
I'd stick a bit of electrical masking tape over it when your carrying it, and when you want to use it either transfer it to the other battery or stick it on the back of the battery to store it

Custom Battery Door for Extended Battery

I really don't like the extended battery door that came with my ebay 3000 mah battery, so I lightly modded the original door to make it fit the extended battery. Keep in mind this is my first attempt... it has a lot of room for improvement.
do you know if you can use the ebay case with a belt clip holster? I am not a fan of the seidio case either, the ebay case looks better.
Looks good, whats tools did you use?
I was thinking about doing this but don't have the proper tool too. Have you considered making a plastic mold to cover the battery? I have heard of people using some thing call shurgoo to make custom plastic pieces.
I have seen pictures somewhere on here of people that are using the seidio clip holster with the back half of the case removed with the ebay battery door, but I now cant find the pictures... i know that mine would fit in a normal belt clip holster because the bottom and top are still as if it was in the stock case.
As far as tools, i just used a pocket knife, a pair of scissors and liquid super glue. Maybe shoe-goo? i dont have any idea what shurgoo is? I do want to try to make something out of plastic or fiberglass resin maybe.
I don't mind having the extra thickness, but all 3 of the extended battery covers I've gotten via eBay always have bad fitment just around the power button. It sticks out past the button and/or that same corner never stays down. I'm tempted to do something like take the stock cover, cut an opening in it, and then epoxy the hump from extended cover onto the stock cover. After that, I plan on finishing it off w/ wrapping it in some 3M DiNOC black CF since I've got some extra sitting around. Anyone wanna donate a stock battery cover?

Zero lemon or trident electra case

Which case should I get

Have never used zerolemons stuff but ive used alot of tridents stuff and they make quality products, their customer service is really good too. The electra is one case I havent used but I imagine the quality is just as good as their other products.
Hit thanks if I helped you out. Doing a little bit of reading goes a long way. Sent via tapatalk.
If you're going for pure battery usage length, go with a zero lemon. I had the Electra for my s3 and loved it. Trident products are great and I hope they get to be as popular as the otter box.

Cheaper on Amazon
Trident looks to be selling it for about $70 (not sure if there are shipping charges). I just found it on Amazon for less that $45 with free shipping (shipping charge if you need it faster than ground). For $45 I'm going to have to give it a try. Here's the link:

Zero Lemon w/Trident Electra
Finally got my Trident Electra. Made the mistake of having it sent to work then taking a few days off. A few weeks back I had ordered the Zero Lemon 3000mAh. Since I ordered the Electra I'd been wondering if I the 2600mAh Trident batter was swappable. Yep, sure is. So here's what I did:
I fully charged the spare Zero Lemon 3000mAh battery and placed it in the backing of the Trident Electra case. It fit snug but still seems to be pretty flush against the rest of the backing. I put the rest of the Electra case together with my phone (with the other Zero Lemon 3000mAh). I struggled a little to get the entire case to fit right. It seemed very snug to the point where I felt like I was forcing the sides to lock, but I got it all in and everything worked great, with one exception. I did not like the feel of the plastic screen protector that is attached to the Electra, but it's possible due to the fact that I'm using a TechArmor Ballistic glass protector, which got me thinking that his may be the cause of some of the bulk in the front part of the case (that and the fact that the Zero Lemon 3000mAh does bulge out the back of the phone a little). I took the case apart again, removed the plastic screen protector and put everything back together. It actually fit someone better and wasn't as hard to get the case components to snap together.
After hitting the gym this morning for about 90 minutes I'm still at about 80% on my original charge before putting the Electra together so I'm not sure yet how quickly this configuration will charge the phone battery. I'm also not sure if the snug fit from using both Zero Lemon batteries will cause any overheating during usage and/or charging. The Electra case is not an "always on" extended battery case. It must be turned on (button on the back) in order to use the case battery, but I'm okay with that.
As I use this case configuration over the next couple of days I'll comment back on how well it works, but so far I'm kinda digging it. I love the protection of the case itself, but I'm really starting to get into the idea of having a total of 6000mAh of power at the ready. I loved my Zero Lemon 7500mAh but I hated the case. Until Zero Lemon designs and releases a much more protective case for the 7500mAh (I don't care about size and bulk) I think I may be sticking with the Trident Electra using both Zero Lemon 3000mAh batteries, provided it doesn't all explode on me from overheating :fingers-crossed:
FYI, Zerolemon suppose to release a rugged case for S3/S4 and Note 2 any day now... I'm monitoring it from Note 2 side since I'm in contact with ZL guys, and they mentioned that a design for all those 3 cases should be similar where it will be 2 layer case (inner TPU and outer PC exoskeleton), accommodate stock and extended batteries, and have a belt clip. As a matter of fact S4 case will be released earlier, that's why I was browsing S4 forum to see if anybody has any more info about

That's great news! Thanks for that update. Any word on if they will sell just the rugged case or if it will have to be bundled with the 7500mAh battery?
My take on the Trident Electra w/Zero Lemon 3000mAh
So I thought I'd just give my quick review of this after using it for a little over a week. This is my first review of anything so bare with me as I'm sure I'm leaving a lot of details out, especially when it comes to my level of usage.
I really didn't like using the Trident Electra all that much under my configuration which was with a pair of Zero Lemon 3000mAh batteries, although the batteries weren't totally the reason why.
First, and for my liking, the Electra case was too bulky. I couldn't fit this into my Armpocket Xtreme i-30 armband, which I could with an Otterbox Defender and Commuter case as well as the Zero Lemon 7500mAh. This was a huge con for me since I use my phone for my morning workouts.
Second, I didn't like the front case design. There is front protective bar that runs between the Samsung logo and the screen. It's pretty flush to the top of the screen, and as such I had a really hard time accessing my notification bar, which I use a lot. I thought about clipping that bar off a few times but then figured that would defeat the point of the protection for that part of the case.
As far as the actual functionality of the Electra case, it did what it was supposed to in adding additional battery life, for the most part. Again, I'm using a pair of Zero Lemon batteries, one in the phone and one attached to the back of the case. I let the phone batter drain to about 15-20% after some 14 hours of regular usage several times before turning on the case. While the Electra did provide the phone battery with additional juice, I never seemed to get it beyond 75% of total capacity, which I felt was odd. So in most cases I was only getting an additional 50% of battery time. For my level of usage with my phone, which is more likely less than that of a power user.
On the good side I didn't really experience any problems with overheating. But then again I don't exactly know what temperature would be excessive. Using Battery Left Pro, during regular usage the temperature was between 80-85 degrees. During charging from the Electra it never went above 115 degrees. Someone will have to tell me if that is too much, but for me I didn't think that was too bad. It felt warm, but certainly not hot.
As of this past weekend I am no longer using the Trident Electra. The added bulk and my inability to secure it in my armband for my daily workout routines is a real deal breaker. Right now I'm back to using my Otterbox Commuter with the 3000mAh battery until Zero Lemon releases a much more rugged case for the 7500mAh, provided I can use it with my armband. Although I am considering trying out the Dyconn as it's said to be slimmer than the Electra. We'll see...

water resistant extended battery wtih NFC?

Does such a battery exist? I have been looking through several reviews of batteries and I don't see any that keep the water resistance. Not sure if this is a deal breaker for me or not.
Also in the past I have liked the Seidio set up since it seemed to be the only/best option for a protective case that fit an extended battery. It doesn't look like they have one for the S5 yet. anyone know if they are planning on introducing one?
Bob
Another option for a case to fit an extended battery is a TPU case for the Hyperion 6500 mAh battery. No water resistance however.

Review of Zerolemon 5000 mAh battery case for N9

Zerolemon 5000 mAh battery case
I week ago I received purchase of a new battery case for the Note 9, Zerolemon 5000 mAh. This was purchased from Zerolemon through Amazon.
In summary - the case works exactly as advertized in detail.
In the past on previous models of Samsung Galaxy (S8+ and S6), I have owned battery cases by Mophie and Runsy.
The case is conventionally sized, similar to other brands. I prefer the fitment method of Zerolemon over that of Mophie, where the Zerolemon is a single body while the Mophie is a two-body assembly. The Zerolemon has a thinner chin than the Mophie, which is really nice.
The top portion of the rear of the battery case is trimmed to ultra-thinness. This is the portion that engulfs the rear camera, etc. This reduced volume is a nice improvement in style and volume.
The case's surface provides a good non-slip grip to the phone. Also, the front top edges of the perimeter protrude about 1 mm above the face of the phone's glass screen. Good - this will give adequate protector for the screen when the phone/case are laid face down.
The battery capacity at 5000 mAh will probably give one full charge to the internal 4000 mAh battery of the Note 9. Readers should note that any battery pack will not be able to transfer its full capacity to a receiving phone battery, because of electrical loss through the discharge and charging circuits. Generally, only about 80% of a battery pack will be received by a recipient phone; thus 80% * 5000 mAh = 4000 mAh, yielding one charge on the Note 9. That's fine.
A great feature of the Zerolemon is that this model (5000 mAh, but not the 10,000 mAh) has pass-thru data sync of the phone while still embedded into the battery case, but cabled to one's desktop computer. And it works - great.
Of course, typical of most battery cases, cable charger connected to the battery case will directly (pass-thru) the phone when the battery case is already full. Great.
The bottom of the case has a hole for the earphone jacket to pass through. The hole is large enough to allow the included AKG earphone to fit through perfectly. Note, this is not the case with the Mophie battery case, which thus requires a special dongle.
Wireless charging is not available, nor is NFC connection.
Only minor gripe is that the phone controlling buttons on the case are rather stiff. Those are the overlay buttons that control for the phone: power, volume, bixy. Regardless, the overlay buttons do work consistently, one just needs to push slightly harder to engage. No big deal.
Overall, this case is my favorite of the three common brands of battery cases on the market (Zerolemon, Mophie, Runsy).
