Since you are using the forum to promote your business (related as it may be) I hope you are ready for some criticism.
Your survey doesn't cover this so I'll post it here.
1) How secure is this application? You open up access to peoples PCs over the internet and I assume you use login + password (not just the URL) but do you encrypt traffic etc? I found no mention of this on your site.
2) 30 euro is a pretty steep price for an app that does about half of what other free solutions offer in this filed. Take LogMeIn for example - it gives you full control or Orb for video streaming.
3) Continuing the previous it seems that your app only allows delivery of content but not actually managing it on the PC or uploading it back to PC.
(or did I miss something)
All in all I have to say its not a bad idea but 'undercooked' and over priced in my opinion.
Best of luck with your buisness anyway.
Levenum,
Thanks for your response. We are open for all criticism, it is exactly the purpose of this survey (and not the implied promotion, which is nice ).
In response to your questions:
1. If so desired you can use a login & password combination. Your login name is related to your IMEI number. You can set up a four digit pin code as password. We do not send out the URLs to other people. If you would like to share your files we send out copies by email.
All traffic is secured.
2. We take your advice into consideration.
3. We are working on a new website which provides visitors with more information. Just one question. What do you exactly mean by 'managing it on the PC'? Delete, move, print and more of these options or something else altogether?
Yes, moving / deleting / renaming files and generally organizing your media on the PC by remote is what I meant.
Also lets say I just recorded a video clip or taken a picture with my phones camera, can I use your app to upload it to my PC? (This would be useful for people traveling as they can not sync the device and might run out of storage space)

Hi, Levenum
Mobile Media Center currently does not support uploading files from mobile devices, I think we will come up a solution very soon.

It sounds like a nice offer, but why they are asking for my phone serial number? somehow I really don't feel safe to give the number away.
IMEI Number is used for issuing licenses, meaning, this software can be legally used on your mobile phone.
24access, it would be nice if you can give the technical details on how this works. From what I've read, it seems that you install a software onto the PC, which act as a 'backdoor'/server which gives you/MMC access to the file contents. So, it seems like
"My PC" ---> "MMC Center" ---> "My phone"
As what I can see, there are 2 possible 'holes'. One is at "My PC", which some one may able to have the MMC-software-installed-on-MyPC security compromised. And, another one would be at your "MMC Center" which seems to be collecting files from all over the place, and possibly be compromised credit card center?
I would understand that it is in user's convenience NOT to have software installed on their phone. However, it is also in user's consideration on the possibility that this "MMC Center" may have access to all their file contents. And at the final end of the process, since there are no software required on the phone, what sort of secure line are you using? SSL via HTTPS?
ANYWAY, sorry for being a bored. It's a job thing, as being a computer science guy, we have these natural ability to find things which most users won't probably even consider (e.g. the unsecure emails people use everyday).
And yes, people won't be very happy giving out their IMEI number. You might want to try another method.
A program to organize todo's/tasks in a treeview form.
It's an Android version of http://taskcoach.org/
The desktop version is available for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, BSD. There is also versions for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. The Android version does not have all the same features as the other versions.

Use it to keep track of to do's or for project management. The outline can have as many sub-levels as you want, or the list can be viewed "flat".
Add, view and edit your list on your phone, then use the same list on your computer. If you put the file in your DropBox folder, it will automatically be synchronized.
Files are stored in user defined folders on the sd card (can use any level of sub-directory).
Integrates with File Managers and DropBox.
Lists opened in Google Drive cannot be saved directly.
Share your lists via Gmail, DropBox, Google Drive, SkyDrive etc.
Move or copy items around.
List can be sorted (both ways) based on due date (can also use calculated dates), title, category, completion, priority or it can be unsorted.
Can be integrated with the Minimalistic Text Widget (if installed).
Home screen widget shows tasks due today.
Completed items can be hidden from view.
List can be filtered based on title.
Notes are available from main list, and hyperlinks are clickable.
List can be searched based on title.
Collapse/expand all.
Set alarms and be reminded when your task is due.
Tasks can be added to the Google calendar.
Currently supports editing of these fields:
-title
-start date
-due date
-completed
-priority
-percent done
-category
-notes
-recurrence
Because this is a beta version, every time your list is saved, the previous version will be saved too. (This feature can be turned off in the settings menu. Last 5 backups are kept)
NOTE: For people who have issues with the app, just writing a negative comment doesn't help to make it better. Instead please:
- concrete suggestions would be appreciated
- errors: send me an email with the steps that caused the error.
Since the original desktop version of this program is constantly being developed, some of the features available on the desktop might not work on the Android version.
I encourage comments or bug reports.
I have another app in Google Play, Tdl TodoList, and these two are based on the same code, so they are very similar.
Uninstall:
Any list files stored on the sd card will be left after uninstallation.

This is still being developed as a hobby, and is not a final version. It is being developed as I see fit, have time and am interested in doing it. THERE IS NO WARRANTY THAT THIS PROGRAM WILL WORK on your Android phone or tablet. I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE IT MAY CAUSE.
Backup your file manually, or do it automatically every time there is a change.

Please release Open Source
Hi, as a formal member of the Task Coach team, I thank you for this major development! This is one of the most important items and most popular feature requests (having an Android client).
Along with some of the other users of Task Coach, I care about software freedom and got involved with Task Coach because it was the best Free/Open app. There are also others in the community who would like to make this a success. Please release the source under the GPLv3+ license so it is compatible with the main desktop app. That will allow the most collaboration, trust, and goodwill, and it will allow this to be included in F-Droid.
Thanks so much!
Aaron
Task Coach
Hi Aaron.
Just stumbled across the app. Very good move, thanks for your efforts.
Some improvements to consider which would make it even better:
Improved UI by not relying on the menu only. Maybe a toolbar, quick access to filters, etc. for tablets.
Smaller bullets
An own column for categories and priorities (maybe landscape only)
Notifications
MAybe sync/file exchange with the desktop
I also just left a positive review in the Google Play Store.
Many thanks and best regards,
Oliver
How to export to Google Calendar?
Hi,
I must say, this is a great app. I've been looking for a way to organize my crazy life, and stumbled upon Task Coach. Then I found that there wasnt an Android version... but there is now. Thanks for your efforts.
Can you explain how to export it to Google Calendar? I must be overlooking something.

Great app! Thank's very much.
Is it possible to compact the view? The icon are too big for my taste.
Also would be very useful to show only active task.
Yeah
I agree that the icons are too large, but it's not really too much of a big deal in my opinion since it doesn't affect the functionality much to be honest
It would be nice to view more task in a single screen
bump for GPL release
Hi, I didn't see any reply to this. I'm happy to see that development has continued. Please help us keep everything compatible and allow other volunteers to help improve this by releasing the source under GPLv3+, thanks.

GPL3 or no?
Is this going to be GPL3 or no?
I started using taskmanager specifically because I thought I'd be able to use a GPL android app with the same data file. Today I had planned to provide smaller images for this app so that each line would take less screen space, and also see how hard it would be enable "effort tracking" in the android app., but I can't find the source anywhere.
If this is an open source project, where can I get the source?
If this is not an open source project - is there a GPL android app intended to use the taskcoach data files, to which I can contribute?
Still not GPLv3
EDIT: We will continue to encourage this developer to release under GPLv3+. I had posted some confusion over a different developer's attempt at a beta version that they had posted under GPLv2 (which is incompatible with Android's Apachev2 license). I had made a comment about trademark as well. I am *happy* that this app is called "Task Coach for Android" rather than merely "Task Coach" and furthermore glad that the developer seems fine with communicating clearly, and so, I have no problem with their use of the Task Coach trademark (which this isn't the same team as the Task Coach app at this time, it is indeed specifically a compatible product).
I hope we can see it released under GPLv3+ still. I''ll be happy to discuss any concerns the developer has about doing that.
Please continue development
Been waiting a long time for a Task Coach client for Android, thanks for making it @ajige!
Would love to see you continue developing & improving it.
Like most others I wish it was an open source project so you could have help improving it, or if you do not wish to continue development someone else could pick up where you left off.
Thanks again for releasing it and please consider open sourcing it!
Being totally agree with previous proposal about opensourcing or continuing development. Even get myself registered here just to write it outloud

Hi, ajige, are you still developing the app?
I am not able to sync via dropbox.
When I try to read a task file from a dropbox folder, via the app file browser, it seems it is downloading, but then it returns to the local foder menu without any real download.
Could you help?
I am using an original android 8.1 on a LG Q6
Thanks anyway
I'm in the process of trying the code for my other, very similar, app, and when that's done, I'll do the same for TaskCoach.
In the mean time: Inside the Dropbox app, did you mark the file for offline access? That's a necessity. Also can you open the file from within the Dropbox app?

I tried (Obviously I associate TaskCoach to that file type).
Each time I open from within Dropbox , TaskCoach starts giving me two errors, sometime one, sometime another, without a specific order.
1) "Error reading bundle info.android.view WindowManager $BadTokenException Unable to add Window - token null is not valid; is your activity running?"
2) "/filecache/xxxxx..... no such file or directory Unable to write to external storage"
I tried to report the messages as exact as possible: each time they appear for a little time, then disappear. I did not find any way to view them for a longer time.
Thanks and regards
Until recently, I could open my desktop TaskCoach's data file, synched by DropBox.
Now, settings/where to look for .tsk files won't let me select my DropBox folder. How do I synch my desktop & Android TaskCoach?

Hi, mawg.
I don't take care of settings. I open the TaskCoach file browser: it allows to go into the scratch directory of dropbox (obviously I made the taskcoach file available offline) and opens it. Then TaskCoach remembers the positions for future access.
Instead, still, directly from within Dropbox i'm not able to open the tasks file in Taskcoach.
ajige, as written, had other work before having time to solve that problem . Anyway opening the file from TaskCoach works for me.
Hoping my answer is useful

Thanks a 1,000,000
I used an Adnroid file manger and "open with.." then made sure to select Settings/Open last used file. Works like a charm
But settigns/Where to look for .tsk files really needs a Fiel Manager, rather thanforcing to choose from a limited list.
And a Recent Files list would be very welcome

Hoping to be useful, I send you the results of some other trials made with your TaskCoach.
- LG Q6 with Android 8.1: The access to the TaskCoach data file is not possible directly from within Dropbox, but if I start Taskcoach and search the file with its internal file browser in the offline folder of Dropbox, TaskCoach opens the file and remembers also its position;
- LG G4 with Android 6.0: Taskcoach opens the data file also directly from within Dropbox!
So, because I don't know if you was informed of it, up to Android 6.0 TaskCoach works great, the problems are with the next versions of Andorid (surely with 8.1)
Thanks for your good work
Greetings

The Proposed software program would Root, Wipe, and Install Upon an older version android phone to create a,
Bitcoin - Hand Held Portable - Crypto Currency Address Generator and Offline Cold Wallet Storage Device
( Screen shot of goes here but new members under 10 posts cant post links )
The Crypto Currency Address Generator,
The proposed "Open Source" software project would "Root, Wipe, and Install its software on an older android phone. making a hand held portable simple offline device crippling the previous devices hardware so it is no longer capable of transmitting data except through screen display.
The User With this newly created device and programming now "generates offline BTC wallet addresses" complete with private keys. The user with previously acquired BTC, can then transfer their funds from an online exchange, website, ATM, personal one on one transaction, etc. into cold storage through the device onto small secure encrypted backup SD cards. The user can also quickly perform transfers to online exchanges from said sd card backups using said portable device as well, This device has been designed entirely for the end users security and privacy and ease of use in mind.
- The Open Source Software Description - User first generates random addresses with new totally offline cold storage device
( Screen shot of goes here but new members under 10 posts cant post links )
Created addresses are then stored in a hierarchical file system on an SD card, The Cold Storage Device on the left shows a list of generated Bitcoin addresses, The Generator on the right shows The filing system of folders they are stored in.
( Screen shot of goes here but new members under 10 posts cant post links )
Addresses after created offline can then be converted to paper wallet format later to be printed to offline printer if user so wishes via SD card file.
( Screen shot of goes here but new members under 10 posts cant post links )
Also user can take pictures with the pre existing devices offline camera for paper wallet Image and background creation, software for paper wallets could also include templates and themes.
Previous Personal Use and Further Description
In my Bitcoin adventures by using this device, I have never needed to use a PC or Laptop, to create or share any of my BTC or ETH addresses.
I have never used a PC or laptop to place Bitcoin in total offline cold storage. In my entire blockchain experience I have never had to find or use a PC or Laptop, This new device is totally hand held portable and stand alone when used in tandem with users cell phone.
Concerning security, In order to stop prior hardware data transmission of the original device, The software program proposed would be a simple first Linux based root access of the older android phone to erase its programming. Then A following basic install in which the final new software program has no awareness of the existing hardwares data transmitting capabilities. Open source is needed to protect this devices security in this manner.
Further description –
A simple very basic Linux GUI would also be necessary to help user for the best ease of use while the program manages file system and background processes such as spreadsheets for Book keeping, tax records, ledger books, on SD card if user so desired, If user does not need these applications they can opt out,
This GUI would be very simple and basic when compared to a full blown linux pc distro, and designed solely for crypto currency storage printing and online transfer from the proposed device
A product model has been built, used, and beta tested for over a month and a half now, Its progress has been recorded on the BTC and ETH blockchains themselves. It can securely generate and store BTC and ETH addresses offline flawlessly and securely so far to date without any need of a PC.
After generating and storing addresses, the device can easily access multiple online exchanges to transfer funds to and from cold storage SD cards via devices "airgapped" Camera/Scanner and QR screen display. it works cross platform with most exchanges in this matter without need for proprietary online software integration
If anyone in the open source community would like to take this project on and would like input from a beta user level, i would love to help out in a small way on this proposed project. I can see some details that would be nice in which I haven't mentioned. And some ideas that would help the user with security and ease of use. I do not code, but have been solely using Linux as a PC laptop operating system since 1998. And have somehow put this device together using android apps and open source software. And then used it extensively.
Why Linux
I'm not sure, but I heard Android phones have a Linux kernel and you can gain root access to its software. This is a great help in security, as Linux itself is known for user security.
Why open source
Because of the user confidence in knowing whats inside it for their personal security and privacy, Also So the individual user can modify its entire programming through innovation to suit their own personal needs for private portable offline storage,
( Screen shot of goes here but new members under 10 posts cant post links )
Brent L. McNealy, I am looking for a team of programmers and developers to help this become a reality, thank you
