Hey guys,
So i tried to use my camera and for some reason when ever I take a picture it ends up being a corrupt file. This only happens for my back camera while my front camera (the one with the screen facing at me) works. Can I get some help on how to fix this problem. I looked all over and most of the questions that I found was camera failed. I haven't gotten that yet so far. And I'm pretty sure that I don't have that "fring" thing installed too.
I've been having problems with my back camera.. It can take pictures but randomly only shows a black preview of the picture taken and says "no thumbnail" for that picture or half of the picture shows gray or green colors only and also sometimes force closes.. Front camera works fine and I've already tried different camera apps and different roms but still facing this problem.. I've got no problems using video recording though that's why I think this is really weird..
Hope someone could help me out on this since I've got such an unreliable camera that is randomly usable for taking pictures which is really annoying..
I had same problem when I was on ICS but with front camera. I flashed JB and now it's not even showing black screen, it just crashes
Sent from my Nexus S using xda app-developers app
I finally found out what is triggering my camera not to work properly.. When the device heats up that's when the back camera has issues (maybe since it is located on the upper part of the phone and that's where the phone usually heats up)..
Does anyone have an idea if this is hardware or software related?
Hi All,
First post so hoping I haven't broken any posting rules, I've searched the forums and google for an answer to this but haven't found anything....
I've unlocked my TF300T and installed cleanrom inheritance, first version I installed was 3.2 I think but yesterday I updated to the most recent. Absolutely love the rom, only thing is that when I'm on this rom my front and rear cameras don't work properly. The front facing camera can barely see anything indoors but works fine outdoors and vice versa for the rear camera.
Rear camera has way too much light coming in when outdoors but is perfect indoors and front camera has not enough light when indoors ie. you can't see anything but a black screen but if you point it at a lightbulb you can see that but again it works fine outdoors.
Last night I installed the latest nightly of CM10 which completely fixed the problem, only downside being that I couldn't read the SD card in the keyboard dock which I need more than the cameras so I've switched back to the latest Inheritance rom.
I've tweeted sdbags last week but haven't had a reply so thought I'd see if anyone has any ideas? Like maybe a way to take the camera drivers from CM10 and install them in Inheritance. I'm fairly technically able, can use terminal fine etc so if anyone can point me in the right direction I'd like to give it a go.
Thanks in advance, Mike.
Hello everyone,
I was one of the brave (and stupid) guys who tried to convert the ultra into a maxx by myself.
After I assembled everything back (new battery and case), I noticed the camera was not working anymore, nor the flashlight or the flashlight app.
I disassembled it many times since then and everything seems fine. The camera module is placed where it should be and the rest seems fine.
Has anyone's camera stopped working?
Mine only shows front facing option now. And I really don't know what to do.
It's probably a hardware issue, so FDR and deleting cache or doing safe mode won't solve anything.
If anyone knows what to do or which replacement part to buy, please tell me.
Make sure that the clip is closed for the camera I had that issue for the droid mini

Hey guys,
I have a problem with my camera on the LG G4. Note: The Snapdragon Camera is flashed on the device but I tested different apps too. The camera was pretty good on stock and worked well. The internal/selfie camera is still fast and works fine but the external camera / back camera is way to sloppy. While trying to take a photo with apps like Instagram, the Google Photo Scanner or Google Camera / Snapdragon Camera it seems to use the wrong exposure times.
Even while taking a photo of a person in front of a white wall being in room light it's lagging pretty hard and everything is sloppy and slow. Taking good photos is really hard this way. Only when I focus on a TV / Computer Screen it's running fine since the exposure and ISO timing is automatically changed to the correct values. When I move away from the Screen again, it's getting slow and sloppy again.
Anyone had something similar with Cynanogen Mod? I also had the issue with my Nexus 6 before which was really annoying. I don't know if I do something wrong while flashing, but I can't find out whats wrong. I tested the same enviroments with my girlfriends unflashed Huawai P9 and her phone is just running fine without problems. I would use stock software but I really hate all the bloatware and modified Android versions they bring in.
Everything else works fine and the phone overall has a good performance. The issue was already existing with CM13 too. Maybe some driver being installed wrong?
Thank you very much. If you need more informations just tell me so I can give you more infos.

Greetings and welcome to assist. You really need to ask this in the rom thread, it is quite a common issue when using cm based roms for there to be camera issues.
