Ive been looking for an extended battery that fit in the original housing and I found this. My question is has anyone tried this for the thunderbolt and how does it fair compared to the stock battery?

I was messing around on amazon and seen a few 1700mah batteries and am looking in to one.
Why spend so much on one battery
As long as you dont mind switching batteries atleast once a day hit up Ebay and get 2 or 3 batteries depends on your use, and an external wall charger for around 10 to 13 bucks. they are also slim and after conditioning they last as long as stock batteries.

wow, 41 bucks on amazon and just as many 1 star reviews as 5 stars. Think I'll stick to my aftermarket batteries on the cheap.
One of these would go perfect with the otterbox.
I know a lot of these batteries that are labeled on amazon and ebay are actually stock knockoffs labeled as 1750, but truly share the same capacity as the 1400. I haven't tried or talked to anyone that's tested this listing so it could be a true claim. Just a warning for people to keep in mind. A lot of guys on ebay are even selling 1750 extended batteries that arrive still using the 1400 mah labels.

I would normally agree and not post something like this but this was on the seidio site. Being as they could lie as much as anyone on eBay I thought this might be different since this is a company and not just some third party eBay seller. I'm just curious if this battery holds up to the claims.

I apoligize if I sounded like I was trying to be condescending. I would have totally made the same call you did with giving them the benefit of the doubt. It's a big company with a good reputation, and I wouldn't doubt them without proof.
My post was meant as a warning for the people that read the thread and head straight to ebay and buy the first 99 cent battery they can find, and then install it and start bashing a developer about battery life lol

Found these batteries on Amazon. Don't own a Z, but they seem to be compatble in the Desire S aswell.
1500mAh - http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0051N1MTY/ref=redir_mdp_mobile
1600mAh - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0052QSTYQ/ref=redir_mdp_mobile
Seem cheap and based on the reviews, they seem to work really well!
See the Sensation 1900mAh - http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/cr/B0053EZJMC/ref=aw_d_cr_electronics
^Check out the reviews there! They seem to be very good for the sensation!
These batteries are dirt cheap, and seem to work well for other devices!
Anyone own one of these?
Can you give your reviews?
Cheers

I purchased the Anker 1600mAh battery from Amazon for my G2 for $9 shipped and it works great. I would say it gives me about 2 or 3 extra hours than the HTC battery that ships with the phone. This is just anecdotal of course, not scientific. I usually take my phone off the charger around 5:40am and plug it back in to charge around 10pm. The stock battery would usually be at or below 15% at this time. With the Anker I'm usually at about 30%. Not a huge difference, but my HTC battery started going bad so I needed to replace it and for the price, you can't beat it.
I did do a review on Amazon after breaking in the battery and using it for a week. I have no idea why it was taken down though.
The OEM battery for the Vision is actually pretty good, which is more than what can be said for the OEM battery for the Doubleshot. Search around Amazon. You can actually find bundle packs of those batteries for cheaper and they come with a battery wall charger.
I'm happy with my purchase and since I intended to get the new Nexus, I didn't want to end up with a stack of batteries I wouldn't use. Plus, based on reviews on other forums, everyone spoke very highly of the Anker batteries. It has been reliable for past few months (I bought it on July or August).

You know that 1500 is only 200 more than the stock 1300. If you're getting drastically less than the stock battery It'd be my assumption that it has aged to such a point that it's no longer holding the same charge as a stock 1300mAh battery.
The amker battery works AMAZING! I can go thrrough a whole day of moderate usage and still have 50%

They're both kind of flimsy, but I probably just got one bad one. Still a great deal

I wasn't concerned about getting better battery life than the stock just cause they're 2200mah but more concerned about the quality of the batteries and the wall charger.

You can always use eBay. The only problem with OEM eBay batteries - you get crappy capacity (even if you see Samsung stickers on the batteries - they aren't really Samsung).
On the other hand, you can get a bit more expensive batteries, even with NFC (I remember seeing one for $15 or so, don't remember the brand - but it was the only custom one with NFC when I looked).

I think that jack in post above u was explaining about battery LIFE on ICS and Jelly Bean (JB has better batt life-that's the difference). Not the actual shape of the battery
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda app-developers app
Actually I meant the shape of the battery. It's completely different from international SGS2 (i9100), and also different from just about any other mainstream Samsung phone - the only relatively mainstream reference is Galaxy Nexus (having a bit smaller battery - 1750mAh vs our 1850mAh, but it fits physically and the difference is small). I know because I had to find one for myself, got the phone with non-functional one.

Yes, there is - and I even ordered such battery The problem is that the OP wrote that he isn't from US, and by the looks of it I assumed he doesn't have anyone in US that can buy this battery (from Sprint) and send him. It doesn't look to be a quest for increased battery capacity, but rather just for any (possibly additional) battery.
How much did u pay for it? I am not from US also but i found some on ebay claiming to be original by samsung-it is US seller. This one is 18$ + 14.99$> shipping
Sprint one goes for shipping only - $6.50. The only catch - they'll ship to US address only. If you can use shipping company that is based in US and can "forward" you the shipping (like myus.com) - it might be worth the extra shipping cost.

No random reboots. My battery lasts a day on GB. Around 20hrs on ICS. Maybe more on jb but I can see now that a lot of sod issues could be the battery actually. A lot of battery drain... it would no longer be a problem if ppl would get a new battery. Its so worth it
