Droid 2 Global Problem - Droid 2 Global General

Hello, my friends Droid 2 Global keeps turning off by itself after we sbf to stock. When we turn it on it only lasts about 10 seconds so it makes the phone unusable. when we power it on, it goes to the bootloader and stays there. Sometimes it actually boots up but turns off by itself after 10 seconds. Also we can't enter recovery as it just goes into the bootloader automatically.
The top of the bootloader says:
Bootloader
D0.11
Err:A5,69,35,00,2F
In the middle the bootloader says:
Battery OK
OK to program
Connect USB
data cable
Any suggestions on what we should do?

Your battery seems to have discharged. Recharge it, and flash the SBF image correctly.

Try to flash the sbf again, but make sure your battery is charged

Black screen

my droid 2 global's bootloader (i presume) is blank.
my phone will boot and there will be a complete blank screen.
on my droid x i previously had bootloader access the same way by holding both volume buttons.
Why is my Bootloader screen blank?
oh yeah, and the black screen flashes on and off every 5 minutes too.
please help as i dont have another phone.
can you connect to rsd lite?

no... and i cant use adb shell because i forgot to enable usb debugging
Does this happen when you normally boot the phone too (do you ever see white or red Motorola logo)?
If you don't, you may have hard bricked (damaged bootloader somehow).

Even when i had never attempted to root, my bootloader was blank.
but since i cant do anything because im stuck at the venusX splash i cant even go into clockwork mod
what about stock recovery
hold x when powering up then press up and down volume keys
if that works you could try factory reset or even install zip from sd card
Fixed A Problem Very Similar To This
So my neighbor has a droid 2 global and pleaded that i restore it to default SBF cause his screen went blank and he already has the manufacture warranty replacement phone sent out. if Motorola gets it back with it being circumvented they'll revoke his warranty and charge him FULL price for the new phone.
Two tricks,
1 in the scenario above i simply put a fully charged battery in and turned it on , plugged it in to my win 7 64 with rsd lite 5 and SBF'd it successfully
2 with my GF's droid 2 global when i got it all messed up trying the latest 1.10.7 from MIUI, i had to remove the battery , put it back in (if it suddenly turned on just by putting a battery in i'd take it out and try till it did nothing) then i'd flip the keyboard out and hold down the up arrow on the keyboard. i would push power and hold the up arrow for about 5 seconds and plug it in to the same pc SBF it and it would work again

Try this first:
Plug the phone in for charging. Hold volume up and camera while powering on to get to the bootloader. After you get to be bootloader press and release the power button to shut the phone off. It should stay powered off while it continues charging. But watch it to make sure it doesn't try to autoboot after a while.
If not/alternatively:
Take off the back cover of the phone. Start charging and keep an eye on the screen. It will charge without booting for something like 10-15min. When it starts to boot, yank out the battery and then put it back. Repeat for 1-2 hours.
Or you can maybe try combining these: and use rubber bands to hold the volume up and camera buttons down so that when it auto-powers-on it will go to the bootloader and you can just press the power button if that happens.
I used to suffer this problem a lot. I ended up getting an external battery charger (you can find them for pretty cheap). Strongly recommended.

it did help in charging the battery but the system won't started, it keeps on restarted after the starhub logo (singapore set)..
OK, so first try to get to open recovery (press and hold volume-up while booting from power off state). From openrecovery make a nandroid backup, factory reset, and try a reboot.
If you can't get into open recovery you can try stock recovery (I can't remember the process off the top of my head)
Do you have ext partition on your SD card?
The last resort is to flash back to stock using a sbf using RSS lite/sbf_flash.

it didn't work..i've read some articles about it this problem..all i need is update.zip that compatible with xt720 can anyone please help???
I don't think there are any update.zip that work -- the milestone xt720 recovery never had that vulnerability (unless you've flashed the xt720mod.sbf). And as far as I know all updates for XT720 have gone via Motorola's usb software updater program (not ota update.zip) so I don't think there are any correctly signed full system updates sitting around anywhere.
I think you're going to have to flash a stock sbf using RSD lite (windows) or sbf_flash (Linux, macos)
the device can't be detected by computer in it's current state so i can't flash it
Make sure you download moto usb drivers.
Hold down power button, volume button, camera button at the same time bootloader will come up.
Startup rsd lite plug into usb your phone should be recognize.
If not reconnect if this doest work reinstall rsd lite.

i can only get to bootloader and the android recovery 2e that's it or else it will restart until all the power have drain
If your computer doesn't recognize your phone try a different computer.
Also try plugin and uplugin and plugging again.
Also try hardreset and remove sdcard.

i've tried them all still not working, i got no idea any more how to solve this, but i did try to use update.zip in from this link
http://androidforums.com/motorola-d...la-droid-frg01b-update-1-2-a.html#post1296035
it loaded only half way.
That is for motorola droid not milestone xt720.
Did you try to install something to have this happen.
Sent from my XT720 using xda premium
before this happen im using cm7 but it cant move app to sd, so i tried to install the update using openrecovery it was stucked then i chose to restart it and it continue to restart until now.
What update did you install.
You must realize are bootloader is locked you have be careful what you install.
Sent from my XT720 using xda premium
i dont quiet sure about the update, all i want is to make all the apps movable, but i really dont know the bootloader is locked so how do fixed this?
I hate to be the one to tell you if you can't get into bootloader and be recognized by computer and sbf flash if you can't do this your phone maybe bricked.

ok, what did u mean by bricked? sorry i cant understand the term

when you connect your phone in flashmode green light should stay on (press & hold vol down then plug usb in)
it should show
"device connected in flashmode"
IF you want fastboot mode
when you connect your phone in fastboot mode blue light should stay on (press & hold vol up then plug usb in)
NOTE-it should actually do bootloops....not sure why red light

Sometimes flash tool, while flashing tells me to turn on usb debugging (although its already on). So what do I do? Wait. After ten minutes(approx), device disconnects automatically and then flashtool requests me to connect in flash mode. So I disconect my usb cable and connect it again in flash mode and voila! flash begins. Worked for me, hope it works for u too..

yes thats a common mistake
on flashmode connect phone in flashmode only when asked (or like you said ...you will have to do twice)
on fastboot mode your phone has to be connected in fastboot before selecting the fastboot mode
I'm having very similar trouble, i flashed FXP CM10 a little while ago until the phone stopped receiving a signal (which has happened a few times using CM10), unfortunately the battery died before i got home to flash it again. 3 days and 7 hours later and the battery still hasn't charged, i've managed to boot into android very quickly while it's connected to a wall charger but i get nothing at all if i try and connect in flashmode or fastboot.
Is the battery dead? Is there something i'm probably missing? I figured this might go to someway with hoping the OP.
[Edit: Good news! I've plugged into USB and i can get to the battery bar with the power symbol, maybe i can get to flashmode after all!]
[Edit 2:] Noticing the phone had just enough power to get to the battery/power symbol screen, held down the volume button for about a minute till it went through that cycle and managed to get it into flashmode, installed stock and plugged it into the wall. 5 mins later i hit the power button and it's working again! Hooray!

bootloop, battery low, can't use fastboot or rsdlite

I have a Photon Q with CarbonROM and TeamWin recovery I think. Someone else set things up for me so I don't know precise versions of things. It was working great for several weeks but suddenly seems to be in a boot loop. The device constantly cycles through green led on, boot logo, then black screen maybe and repeat.
I can get into bootloader screen with volup+voldown. None of the options does anything different except fastboot which I can get to also with voldown.
In fastboot I see "Battery Low" which seems to prevent me from doing any flashing either with fastboot or with RSD Lite.
I edited an xml file or use fastboot and can do operations like
"erase cache"
"reboot-bootloader" - but this sends me back into my loop
I feel as if I must charge the battery somehow. I noticed BP Tools in the bootloader options but that just goes back into the boot loop.
I have seen folks charge the battery by directly hooking up a charger to the battery, not quite ready for that.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

You need to charge the device. Plug it into the wall and try to get some juice into it.
You should be able to charge from TWRP if you can make it to recovery.

Thanks! I have tried that. Left it plugged into the wall for about 24 hours or so. No luck. Still Low Battery and boot loop. Recovery fails in a similar way.
I'll try charging the battery either in another device or by hooking up power directly to the battery for 10-15 minutes.
in the first post you wrote u can boot to recovery.
so put a rom on your sd card and boot into recovery.
while your phone is hanging on the wall charger.
so you can flash the rom via recovery. it worked for me when my battery was low.

Ah, no. I can't get into recovery. It gets there but does a bootloop just like the logo screen does. Never get anywhere that I can do "anything".
I am now charging a battery from a Droid 4 that I think is the same, EB41 minus maybe a heat sensor? Hoping I can swap batteries and get into fastboot.
I have resolved this!
- used the EB41 battery from my Motorola Droid 4
- charged it to 50
- grabbed a stock image from the interwebs (hard to find actually as http://sbf.droid-developers.org/ is gone apparently) asanti_c_sprint-user-4.1.2-9.8.2Q-122_XT897_FFW-5-6-release-keys-cid9.xml
- booted up to fastboot with power+volume down
- says Battery OK
- grabbed the motorola version of fastboot. It has "Multi-Flash" which is required for the system.img.
- used the xml file inside the stock image as a guide on which fastboot commands to run on Linux
- skipped erase "userdata" because I wanted to try and save it
- see my "me-too" comment here about Multi-Flash: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63571551&postcount=7
Thanks all.
I had a similar problem. I could not even boot into recovery, only fastboot. I don't remember exactly how I solved it, but I seem to remember that the phone would not charge when off but charged only when left in fastboot. I managed to get enough charge to get into recovery and flash a new image.

Attempted to restore pixel 2 - now bricked? Help request.

I was trying to restore by custom rom Pixel 2 to stock to give to my father, I downloaded the latest restore pack from google and flash it with flashall.bat, it seemed to be flashing OK but then showed an error at the end, so i tired to reboot and try again but after rebooting it now won't show anything on the screen.
Now the phone screen is black, if I told the power button for approx 30seconds it vibrates and quickly flashes something on the screen, but I can't get into the bootloader and my laptop doesn't see it as a fastboot device.
I let it power down overnight and could get into the charging screen, but after leaving it to charge for a while it still won't go to bootloader mode when i turn it on with power down held down.
Did I brick it? any help much appreciated!
