[Q] Where did the Bravo ROM come from?

Just a general question here. Where did the Bravo ROM come from? The original post said it was a Chinese ROM (i think), but is it a new proprietary build like MIUI? Or is it a port of the Motorola Bravo 2.2 ROM to the XT720? Or something else entirely? Anyone know the history?

I don't have a lot of the details but this is what I think I know: It's a port of 2.2.1 that Motorola released for the Motoroi XT720 that's developed on a Chinese message board. I don't think it is related to the Bravo phone. The 2.2.1 Motorola released for Motoroi XT720 is very specialized for Korea, so it takes quite a bit of work to internationalize it. From what I understand WanHu and Bravo both came from Chinese message boards. Beyond that I don't know the lineage. Brianlili's done a great job and continues to do a great things with his ROM, IMHO. Dexter's old hijack is in there so it may have roots eons ago from his minimalist stock22korean.zip port (or possibly not). (Dexter initially worked off of the Motoroi XT720 ROM but hit a wall early on and switched to Milestone A853 as a base for his port)
Hi,
Can i ask how to do a swap on this bravo rom?
I have done swap on cm6.3 which was pretty straightforward. But bravo doesn't seem to support swap. I have tried fj 's boot.img boot5.img...
Thanks for the help.

Navigon problem since ICS upgrade

Hi, I'm struggling to get Navigon working (via blackmart) since updating to ICS (hboot 1.23, build 3.12.401.2), and running ARHD 6.02 with default kernal.
Navigon will install, but won't run (error msg: Navigon stopped unexpectedly)
Any thoughts on what the problem might be, or any workarounds guys?
Many thanks, S.
Edit: I've seen posts regarding FC's on ARHD's and confirm my install has been 'by the book', so not sure if this is an isolated problem with Navigon. I certainly haven't experienced problems with any other apps.

I think it is an ICS thing as I don't think it is compatible yet
Compatibility
What version of ICS are you 4.0.0/4.0.1/4.0.3? My assumption is that the app is not compatible. Check the comments for the App in the Market and see if others with ICS are having similar issues.
I'm running AR_HD 6.0.2, which is Android version 4.0.3, and I have no issues with Navigon 4.0.1 bought from Market.
GPS in Settings
I'm also using ARHD 6.02 and I couldn't find the GPS in the settings, or quick settings. Is it even in this ROM.

Really, spelling pissed you off. You can't spell "you" and your grammar is a little off too" ask on the market".

[Q] problem upgrading froyo cee to CM9

Hello!
I accidently installed a bad, un-downgradeable sbf.
I seeked for hours but eventually I got out of it, and now I'm running a working fixed froyo cee.
I was sure that after moving to the froyo, Ill be able to upgrade to the cyanogenmod 9.
but of course, when I tried, it acted like before, as if the froyo is un-changeable - it bloacked the defy.
so, what can I do in order to be able changing ROMs again?
I own a defy MB525.
Thanks very much!

iGO Primo Running on HTC HD2 Native SD

Hi there,
I'm at my wits end.
I have been running Jellybean 4.12 on my HTC HD2 successfully now for sometime and been using iGO primo v9.6.7.235654 (dated May 16th 2012) relatively successfully.
However, I have never been able able to get speed cameras or events to work.
In an attempt to rectify this situation, without knowing the cause, I decided to try a later version of Jellybean and also KitKat 4.4.4. Neither of these android versions made any difference to iGO so I tried a new version of iGO My Way but this also behaved similarly to its predecessor.
I have been having discussions on a thread at http://www.gpspower.net/igo-voices-speedcams-vehicles/340959-missing-speed-cameras-event-list.html where various suggestions have been made trying to add to the ext4 partition but none of these suggestions have so far worked.
Has anyone got iGO to work successfully as it should using the Native SD method? and if yes please advise me what to do to get mine to work too.
TIA.
p.s the same iGO version runs on an HTC Desire S and Galaxy S3's without problem.
