Insert it into any Symbian device like Nokia N8 and format it. You should be able to use it again.

Besides freeing up phone memory and makeing room for more apps, is there any disadvantages to copying apps to the SD card .

Certain apps may seem to run slower. But I have about 75 on my sd card and I didn't notice anything.
Any app you would recommend to do the copying with that works well

When saving contacts or phone numbers to SD card, what might it be called and which SD card would it be saved? I am running cm7 at this time.

So I have the SanDisk microsd class 10... And by using the nvidia shield mounted to my desktop, the transfer speed is insanely slow.
I've tried using an microsd adapter alone and the speed went up to advertised class 10 speed. So my card is fine. Can this be a bug or my nvidia shield is defective? It reads my card and able to watch movies and whatnot from it...
Any suggestion on what can fix this issue?

How do you access your SD Card in the SHIELD?
Android File Transfer? adb?
It will be slower than on the shield. The shield has to copy the file to ram, then copy to USB. your USB adaptor doesnt.
Why is this in development

I added and renamed media files via my computer over USB and Android will not recognize them.
How do you rescan the SD for media in Kitkat?

This app does it for me.

Tried others but they all didn't do anything. This is probably because kitkat handles media scanning differently than older versions of android.

So I'm having an issue with my 64 g micro SD in my sprint note 2. I can add things to it just fine, but after an hour or so it corrupts songs to 2 seconds and says "sorry, this audio file not supported". If I out folders in it, it empties them. If an app tries to add its data to it, it almost completely wipes it clean. It's formatted to fat32. I've never had problems with my 32 g SD card. I'm not certain of the brand, it just says "hc" on it. Any suggestions?

Something else weird to "note" here would be that whenever I download music and put it on the SD card, it does the music jack up, but if I copy it over and zip the music and leave the zip on my internal memory, it doesn't mess up.

Most likely your 64gb is bad. Especially if the 32gb worked with out problems.

I thought so. I figure it was just because it might be incompatible.
