Yep. A no go. Doesn't get past credits. It just crashes. Wonder if I change build.prop if that would change or mess with chainfire some more. Imma keep searching for a fix.

It's probably made specifically for tegra based phones.

grrrr i don't get it why do they make it hard for people to own games. this is one of the reason why people love the iphones because there is only 1 iphone 1 hardware to mess with. It is hard enough for consumers to pick an android phone and they want to add what GPU should I get -.- grrrrrrrrrr. Hope chainfire will improve over time and be able to play any android games on any GPU ^_^

It gets to like 98% then tells me I need to connect to a network or something, tried like 4 times and kept getting error.

EGL driver is working mostly fine here, and seems to be playable.
There are still some texture problems, mostly the tree leaf textures not having transparency having blocky edges, but I wouldn't describe texture mapping as "whacked"- the EGL driver is probably working better than your experience.
edit: just uninstalled chainfire and gta3 still works (and looks pretty much the same...)

Weird. After uninstalling cf3d, the backlight won't turn off when the screen does.
The screen does stay black, but in a dark room you can see bleedthrough from the backlight...
Edit: Restored a backup and the backlight is functioning normally again. GTA3 still works without chainfire around at all...

Oh I see, while it mostly works in 55.13.16, I reverted to 55.11.16 and now have whacked out textures.

Mine looks the same as your 55.13.16 still waiting for CF to update. Hopefully the new driver will work. I still don't get it why is nvidia trying to make a game just for tegra base why not make an option to enable tegra/HD in game.

I have to say this is one of the bones I have to pick with Android. I've got a GT 10.1 and an Atrix 2 and game compatibility is always in issue with both. I've got an ideal platform for playing games and it's like hunting needles in a haystack finding games that are compatible. I realize, as Atrixed2 points out, that hardware consistency is a real challenge, but PC vendors have (mostly) mastered it and Android needs to as well. It's crazy that a developer has to compile several different versions is a game to run on however many devices they want to support.

Also, the textures and everything work fine. Game is solid on the A2. No problems here and I enjoy it. But my current favorite game is Monopoly. That game is sick on A2. Eye candy!!

It works on my Atrix 2. I would've bought it but it says it's not compatible with my device & doesn't show up on the android market so I got the apk online.

install it, install the nvidia plugin, install a tegra-only game like riptide gp or fruit ninja thd, configure the per game settings to use the nvidia plugin. Tadaa it's working even though you don't have tegra

yeah there are still some errors in the emulation of riptide. That is not sensation's problem though. The emulation is just not perfect yet. Seems like the lighting effects are not emulated correctly.
The games I have are Fruit Ninja THD (no errors at all), Riptide GP (lighting errors on driver), Hardwood Solitaire by Silvercreek (perfect), Hardwood spades by Silvercreek (perfect), Hardwood Backgammon by Silvercreek (perfect), Guerilla Bob (perfect)
Loving those silvercreek games! Always been the best card games in my opinion. Was really bummed that they only work on tegra.
It sucks that Monster Madness doesn't work yet on chainfire because that is a great game.

Galaxy On Fire 2 works fine as well.
First time you load it up it'll take 20-30sec for the title menu to appear which will only take up.around half the screen. Just quit out then restart the game again & it'll run full screen from then on.

I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to these things so I'm just going to ask: do I need to do anything else besides installing the nvidia drivers to get Tegra games on my device? Maybe like changing some of the settings?

I cannot for the life of me get Tegra Zone to appear in the market (3.1.3.). I bought the pro version of Chainfire 3D and installed the nvidia driver, loaded the plugin and "fixed the market settings." Still nothing.. Anyone have a solution?
EDIT: Several THD games are showing but still no Tegra Zone. I guess I'm good.

You can change the openGL settings to either make the game run smoother (By decreasing texture size and reducing colour to 16 bit) or you can make it look better (by unrolling textures to 32 bit) which are fairly useful to make some THD games run smoother (GOF 2 THD for example)
But for the majority of my use, its main function is giving me the ability to play THD games
Edit: Mind you these settings do not work perfectly on all apps and no guarantees are made but give them a try

Works in the 3d converter did buy the game from market also say its compatible but after you get ingame right after the burning car the game hangs right before you enter the city when you drive your friend:/

I tried it, What I did was open Chainfire 3D use the tergra files, Made sure "Disable MapBuffer emu" was ticked and then I loaded the game through 3D game converter.
EDIT: Hangs on just after burning car :/ Perhaps maybe it will work if we get a save file from just after the burning car?
I got a friend to send me a savegame after the first autosave and was able to load the save but the game still hangs after roughly the same amount of time of gameplay. Bit of a shame. Hopefully theyll update the game at some point to add support for us.

im download apk file craked and download in-game data file too, from my wifi. affter load RAM OK, ROM OK and rockstar logo appear. and then is turn off screen to black. i restart phone and did three time but nothing worked.

My LG Optimus 3D has the King 3D rom, a patch for overclocking it at 1.18 (and not 1.2 as the rom does... it solves some problem), chainfire 3D and the nvidia plugin.
installed the [email protected] apk, downloaded the sd files directly in-game, then reeboted and executed the game using the 3D game converter.
i also ticked "Disable MapBuffer emu" on the per-app settings inside chainfire3D. (not changes at all, ive simply tried to do as DyNaMiiTe as written...)
the game starts well, i can play for a while, but it's very laggy and sometimes freezes.
i think we have to wait for an updated version from rockstar...

As of the latest update, it's marked as "incompatible" even for US carriers.
...even more strange is that Desert Winds (a flagship Xperia PLAY title) now displays the screen "This game is not compatible with your device".

Its got something to do with the new market. Instead of saying region not available its says device not compatible. This i think is down to Google trying to stop the Market faker apps to bye pass regions. Its available in North U.S only at mo. Does state on there site Xperia Play supported.
I have the old app in only portrait this new landscape version will be nice for the play

To be honest, the snapdragon gamecommand is just ok. I am really not impressed with it. Especially after it initially was released showed like 10 games then afte a couple days, 3 then to just 1. I have not used this app in months. Unless its seriously changed I wont bother with it again.. just my 2 cents

Yeah it was not great. But with the demise if the ICX Launcher never appearing. This new version in landscape with editable app selection is the next best thing. I found now I have so many games on my phone that the xperia play launcher can't handle it anymore and have loads if lag and re draws

I'm pretty sure the Droid doesn't have a Snapdragon chipset or Adreno GPU.

Doesn't seem too special to me, if ur using the stock launcher, just add a folder to the dock or home screen, if ur using a different launcher, there are ways to do the same, this is what I have done:

Hi everyone!
I finally have my first android game up to a point where I can show it to the world I've always wanted to make games, and have been making them in my spare time for a while, but this is the first real, complete one I'm showing to the world. I'm a bit proud (everything 100% done by me), but also apprehensive considering all the different devices out there and what can go wrong So you guys are the first to see it in action! Where else but the place where I got into mobile phones in the first place?
Anyway, the game's called Ringi and you have to rotate rings using your fingers to bounce a ladybug off flowers and ensure the ladybug doesn't go outside of the rings. Some flowers slow you down, others speed you up and others do different things, so use them wisely
I think it's quite fun and addictive (in a kind of teris/breakout/puzzle bobble-y way), but I'd love to hear what XDA thinks about it.

There's two modes to play with (leveled and continuous) and three styles to choose from (although I like the default best ).
You can iplay the full game, with a level/time limit (mods, let me know if this is OK to post in this section!) .... but seeing as I'm asking for feedback, it's free unlockers all 'round! For some strange reason a bitmap which should have been created as mutable wasn't on some devices/android builds. This is now fixed (or at least ensured not to happen). OutOfMemory issues were fixed in the previous update, so now Ringi should work for everyone!

Did a large rewrite on the rendering code and on the way bitmaps are created and cleaned up. As a result, Ringi now uses a lot less memory and runs better. Devices with lower heap memory should now be able to start and actually play the game, and do so with better fps.

I'm looking for people with a Galaxy Nexus running Jelly Bean and /or a HTC EVO 4G LTE who also have aLogCat installed. Apparently there's a problem with Ringi on these devices, but I'm not getting any error reports sent in via the Google Play dev console. So if someone with those device could post their aLogcat log here, you'd be doing me a huge favour!

Tested it for you. I'm running aokp milestone 6 on HTC Sensation.
Seems a bit laggy. The sound works fine. Under the tutorial the "done" bubble/cloud is placed over the actual instructions so you can't read all of it, maybe make it smaller and put it in a lower corner maybe.

I just downloaded the game for my sgs3 using cm9 and everything worked until I tapped the center to start at which point it did a force close. This happens every time.
Update: The game works if I set style to Segments. Flowers or Neon force closes. Nice game.
That's really strange ... could you report the error from the game, or maybe even install aLogcat and paste the error here (it's in red in aLogcat). I don't really understand why it would work in segments mode and not with the flowers ... I mean, I could understand if it didn't work in flower mode, but did in Segments and Neon, but not working in Flowers and Neon?
Well, I'll check it out, but a crash log would REALLY help
OK, I've added some fixes; hopefully the game should work on more devices now!

Asphalt 8: Airborne is coming to iOS and Android tomorrow, and Gameloft has just released the latest trailer for the adrenaline-packed racer where you’d be able to jump off platforms and defy gravity with your car for a few sweet moments.
It comes with even better graphics of near console grade quality. The new Asphalt 8 will also be optimized to run on the new Nexus 7 with its amazing 1920 x 1200 ‘Retina’ display.
The new Asphalt will feature a brand new realistic physics engine, a whopping 180 events, 47 cars and new game modes. Asphalt 8: Airborne supports simultaneous online multiplayer, but you can also race friends in asynchronous challenges, and all of that is tracked in leaderboards.
The game has eight maps and seven of them are brand new. You’ll get to experience racing in the Nevada desert, the busy streets of London, Tokyo and drive through frozen tracks in Iceland. The last, eighth map is a renewed map of Monaco. All of that racing comes with new weather effects for more immersive experience.

Nice price. I hope it costs the same price at gameloft wapshop
And the most important I hope it comes with supporting xperia play gamepad.
Thanks D.Spirit. Gameloft take a lot of stick but they are really good with the asphalt series. They just added a load more cars to Asphalt 7 yesterday. They even added a few to Asphalt 6 recently too.

Well I think GL Will support us on this one, as most of their newer titles have support (Gangstar Vegas...) so i guess it wont harm in supporting xPlay's

Seems not to work on JB
It appears as "compatible" and lets you download it if you're on Jelly Bean / CM10 (I have Slimbean on at the moment and 480p Lupus kernel), but it won't work. Seems to get stuck after performing the licence check at the Gameloft logo.
Yeah, no more love from GL then. I guess I can live without their buggy IAP-infested games anyway

GL has done a tremendous job of supporting the PLAY all this time. So finally, when it looks like they've probably given up on it, their games are buggy and IAP infested?

GL actually still supporting our phone . Take a look at the screenshot . It's just one of their silly mistake . I will report back after i'm done downloading the game .

Disable sounds and check gfx on very low
Also install adrenaline boost and run it be4 asphalt 8

What font are you using? It looks nice. o.o
So it appears in the launcher... then some XP code is embedded in the game. But why the hell don't GL make it available to us without build.prop tweaks (which is a hassle) like Gangstar? Description of GV says it requires 2.3 and up yet we can't have it.
GL dropping support can't possibly be the reason since people who acquired the game illegally say XP support is embedded! Grrr!
XP gamepad is usable in the game . But still , it's too lag for me to play the game . Need to wait some more updates i guess .

I'm not really remember , but the font name is "DroidSans" if i guess correctly . You could find the font on UOT kitchen .

Maybe because it's still unstable for XP they didn't want to release the game for our phone on the first release . And i'm not really "illegally" owning the game because i downloaded the game using my sister s3 and ripoff the apk from that phone . xD
I finally downloaded this game legally by editing my build.prop to Xperia X10 then back to R800i. XP controls layout appears as everybody has already claimed but it lags and I can't play properly. With 245MB free RAM before starting is still crashes after just one run. VERY LOW graphics settings is actually already good, but it still lags. I think it's really time to 'up' the game.
