Hi all.. has anyone managed to get this working on the note at all? No matter what format i use whenever i go to load a game, it shows psx4droid is running in the status bar for a second, then black screen then goes back to the load a ROM screen..
Any ideas?
I tried 3 different playstation emulators and none worked. They work on my evo3d tho and it sucks. Wanted some old school resident evil

FPSe runs but not very well.. im surprised as PSX4DROID ran perfectly fine on my SGS1 so dont see how there should be a problem running on the Note..

I thought the same untill I disabled "Dualcore Boost" and "Screen Filtering" in the settings.
Yeah, I know about the Dualcore Boost, it's kinda ironic.
All my 3D games are running at fullspeed like Raystorm at 60 fps!
I use FPSE and Chrono Cross works well, except for some sound issues during FMVs.
FPSe running great for me...

every game is running at 50 fps except for tekken.
only tekken 3 that looks slow. also the touch-pad is still unplayable for fighting games because you can't really do combos with it.
time crisis looks like fun thou.

tekken is currently bouncing around between 40 and 45 fps.
Also... you can do combos in fighting games... it was just difficult to film that whilst playing properly... street fighter alpha 3 needs concentration at the best of times =)

thanks mate... appreciate it. Really though the props need to go to everyone involved in making FPSECE a better experience for all. Especially the developers schtruck and ldchen.
As for my device:
stock 1.66 rom
2.08.50.08_2 radio
LOADS of mods... too many to go into detail but im planning to upload more vids showcasing the HD2 in general so watch this space... (hopefully they will look good and be worth uploading hehe)
look forward to the vids matey

The video which is in your first post…
It's slow. Maybe quicker than the previous version, but still slow.
And the keypad is still not multitouchable.
I didn't play Tekken 3 a lot, but I remember it was quicker than that 45-50fps or not.

I dont know which planet you come from but it must be one where the laws of space and time as we know it dont exist.
Every game in that vid is 50 frames per second (standard for most games) except for tekken which is running slightly slow at 40-45 fps, but still perfectly playable.
The keypads are clearly multi-touch also! How else do you pull off fireballs, dragon, punches and whirlwind kicks in street fighter if you dont have multi touch?
Seriously... wtf are you on?!?!?!

Sorry mate, but you must have something wrong with your internet connection, or your watching a different video or something.
Not one of those games could be called slow, and it's clearly multi-touch.
I normally leave room for opinion, but in this case you're just plain wrong.
The problem I have is after installing fpsece, how do I install the games and get them working. I've tried a couple of times but all unsuccessful. Could any of you shed some light on this please???

I had problems myself, but resolved it by ripping the discs at a lower speed. It seems the old PSX discs are a bit crap, and don't like being read at high speeds.
If you're downloading disc images then forget it. You need to spend the £2 or £3 per game on eBay. It's well worth it.

Not quite true mate. There are a few sites on the net that let you download psx images that will work perfectly fine with fpsece. A quite popular one has its images in ecm format though so you need to revert this format back to bin or iso using the ecm tools available.
Of course... i do not condone pirating software and must just say here that all my games have been ripped from my original disks.
So psx4droid is finally out, how is it working for you? I have rooted htc evo using newest fresh rom and custom god mode kernal with 60fps hack and espon 003 screen. I have tried three games and they start up then fail miserably...can the evo cut it for psx? Anyone having better luck? What settings ,rom, kernal, phone, and screen?
Because this thread wasn't 5 threads from the top.
Must have missed it, been googling it all morning for evo users and found nothing.
Very frustrating that the market doesn't allow me to buy it b/c it's stuck on authorizing. I purchased it through SlideMe and now I can't find the app and don't know where it went. So annoying I hope it doesn't charge me for it again .
Download it on a good 3G area not through wi-fi that's what did it for me.
Now my problem is the Roms aren't working!

Not to mean to hijack your thread, but what is this 60 fps kernal you wrote about? I can't seem to find it.
I love this emulator. It runs PSX games fast on my phone for sure. I have Worms Armageddon working perfectly. Tried running Theme Hospital and Madden 03 and 05 but neither worked. They get stuck at the EA Sports screen. Anyone know of any options to get it working or is it probably just a compatibility issue with that rom? I would assume compatibility but never know.
It runs SOME games fast. FF7 for sure. Chrono Cross is... like... kinda okay. Most games I've tried are unplayable either due to speed, sound, or aren't compatible with the emulator.
****. The one game I expected to run well is Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. It's a side-scroller and it runs slower than FF7

Yeah, what kernel are you referring to? Are you talking about netarchy-toastmod 3.7.5? That is the latest to my knowledge, and 60fps is a bit of a reach.
Or am I missing a bona-fide 60fps kernel for epson screens?
Anyone?

CyanogenMod has no FPS limit.
-------------
Sent from my HTC EVO 4G using Tapatalk Pro.
I have been playing FFVII on it (it runs well). Does anyone know how psx4droid will handle the disc switch?
I ripped the 3 discs seperately (into bin and cue).
Thanks.
I get your point, but cyanogenmod must have a limit.
yeah toasts but i have been switching back and forth through both cr1 as well trying all the games but some of the eboots have built in fps checker and have at some points been hitting 60 fps up to 64 on both if im lucky and close all apps first and this thread was lost because http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=735234 was up like 3 minutes before my thread i think so i have just been using that one for psx info and on disk switching just do the save in the game on the disk like not slot save but psx memory card save and then load other disk in emulator and use the save
I am using the latest TNT lite and it stutters pretty often. I am using the latest versions of both. Any ideas or version numbers I may need to use?
What games? Not seen stutter on any TNT version. PSX4Droid also plays smooth and with 3D games.
I would like to check them the games that stutter for you- assuming I have the games, of course.
All NeoGeo and the more complex CPS2 roms also play smooth.
Thanks

I had studdering with punch out on Nesoid but I determined that it was due to the actual game itself and it studdered the same on my phone and the G Tab.
I get a lot of constant shakiness with SNESoid playing super mario world. I was just testing however since I JUST got TnT installed on my tab. I was using the on screen controls as a result. I remember hearing that disabling the on screen controls will reduce the processor load. I hope to try that later today and hopefully have good news to report. I have also not yet tested NESoid or GBAoid

I messed around more with SNESoid. Having sound enabled is what caused my issues. When I disable things worth smoothly with or without the onscreen controls. Maybe I am the one with egg on my face here and everyone knows that sounds makes playback choppy with any game on any system but it is certainly a deal breaker for me.
I was hoping to use HDMI + wiimote to bring all my older games with me on-the-go.
I will say this. I did noticed that my device is acting a bit strangely(TnT 2.2.0 fresh <2 days old). I found that some video will strangely playback smoothly now that would not a few days ago. I also get some gapps force closes randomly. Angry birds has worked perfectly. Maybe the issue is entirely with me and not my gtab.
on my older FPSE all i had to do was enable SPU sound and Metal gear solid worked but now it doesnt
the bios has been loaded
im unaware of a new method (if one even exists) to get it working but if there is something i missed i would be grateful if someone could fill me in
Try regressing to an older version, sometimes new versions have differences in compatibility.

Only setting of note that I enabled was SPU sync which I have on for all games that I've played. Other than that, though I doubt they'd make much of a difference, I've set the following variables in fpse.ini:
ArmCoreV7=on
Screen_posx=107
Screensizex=75
thanks for that, but just going back to a older FPSE did the trick

i got the same problem! only loads to konami then Japan Studios and thats it T_T going back to an older version works? and how do i do that?
Thanks a lot
how do i go about getting games like mgs, resi 3, ff7 do i need a psx emulator or do i just need to download the fpse psx bios app from the market, all new to me so if anything technical needs doing could you tell me in noob terms lol. thaks
Anyone else have issues with playing FN on CM9? Whenver I boot it up it says "loading feint" and never actually gets past that.
No, I don't have any issues.
Try to press the back button.
Or if that doesn't work, then your only way is to Register at openfeint.
I have an account and if i press the back button, it goes to home screen an when i go back it tells me fruit ninja has stopped and kicks me back to home but the music starts playing

CM9 doesn't have hardware acceleration. I could barely get any games to work on it. Most would crash within a minute or two or run slowly when they did work. Only a few nondemanding games worked at all. For that reason I switched to Modaco Rom based on the stock KF software. Apparently CM7 has hardware acceleration too but some games require tricks to get them working since they claim not to be compatible.

The last time the free version of Fruit Ninja was updated, the Kindle wasn't even out yet. The paid version works flawlessly though.

I'm pretty sure cm9 has hwa now and even at the time you posted saying it didn't hwa was present on hash codes kernel having games work flawlessly as well as HD YouTube and Netflix. Just saying :b
at a loss
I have just recently upgraded from cm7 on my kindle to cm9 reloaded v1.3
I love this rom, but fruit ninja has stopped working for me now. It used to work on cm7, but now it dont. It s actually kinda funny cause games like heavy gunner, that didnt work on my cm7 now works on cm9.
Anyway when you start the game it instantly crashes and says that the game has stopped working, booting me back to my launcher.
It has worked great for me in cm9. Using the latest vanilla and hashcodes kernel. It also worked with energy.
