Hey guys,
Soo a friend of mine gave me his Optimus 3D cause I said I would try to fix it.
He said he did a system update and afterwards it would just boot in recovery.
So he has Clockworkmod installed so I just tried loading a new rom and flashing it via. recovery, but it does not work, still only boots in recovery.
Any Idea on how to fix this? I just have a HD2 but no Optimus 3D.
Would be very thankful for any answers.
Regards
why not try factory reset and wipe system and cache...etc from the recovery menu?
Did he update while having CMW installed? If he did he might be screwed.
You can always try to follow all steps in this thread to do an emergency flash: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1244490

Hi guys, I have had Xperia C from about 2 days. I wanted to root it to change the system fonts and I did root it successfully. But when i replaced the system fonts using ROM TOOLBOX, the phone was stuck at the boot animation.
I do a hard reset by entering recovery mode, but nothing was changed, the phone is still stuck at the boot animation.
Can someone help me please??
Have you tried flashing the phone?
Did you take a backup of your ROM at any point?

You could try putting the phone into download mode, and then use a flash tool (developer.sonymobile com/downloads/tool/flash-tool-for-xperia-devices/) to flash the phone back to stock.
This is a stock ROM: 4shared com/rar/wdOnCZw4/xperia_c_c2305_sony html
It may not be the stock ROM for your phone, you'll need to make sure it's 2305..

You could call it flash mode I guess, yeah.
But before trying a full flash, try going into recovery mode and selecting Wipe data/factory reset.
This will fix problems 99% of the time.
Also, I found a video that might aid you. I haven't watched it, but by the title it seems like it could help you.

I just read the Bump! thread --> TWRP will not wotk out of the Box if you're running Android Lollipop (5.0.x). You will need to fresh install stock Android + gain root access and follow this GUIDE for imageprep: TWRP step-by-step after you made sure to READ and UNDERSTOOD everything.

Stock ROM cannot be flashed with recovery, u need flashtool and more important ur device should boot into download mode. So try ur hands on custom ROM.

Can I install custom ROM from stock recovery mode?
First of all you shouldnt have made a factory reset.
Did you have a rootedsystem.img or system.img in the root of your internal sd card?
If you did all you had to do is dd flash that image and your phone would have returned to life. If you read the instructions to rooting you shouldve made a backup first!
If you flash ZV5 TOT you will hard brick your phone.

Well I thought u had custom recovery, never mind, u just need to enter in bootloader and flash the stock ROM. This might save u from soft brick.

Is the bootloader unlocked
If yes than do u have a custom recovery installed like twrp or orangefox recovery if yes than it's easy
First boot into recovery than format data
If that doesn't work than u may have to either flash a custom rom or flash stock firmware for the device
