[Q] Stock i727R SMS app question - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Hi, Searched but could not find any answers to my specific question (and I think I'm in the right forum..).
A family member has a stock 2.3.5 i727R, and is wondering if there is a way to make the text input box in the stock SMS app smaller when she is typing (so she can see more messages while typing).
I'll be able to play with the phone in the next few days to see for myself, but just curious if anyone has already done this with a quick setting change in the sms app.
Of course, another solution is handcent or go sms, but hopefully there is a setting for this.
Thanks.

sms sent time

So, this may be a stupid question but i have combed a few boards and cant seem to find an answer (assuming there is one) I just got a D2G to replace my EnVtouch. On my Env when i got an sms i could see both the time i received the sms and the time they originally sent the sms. With my new D2 it only shows the time i received it. Is there any way to see when one was originally sent? I would even be willing to install an app to get his feature. I have tried handcent, but no luck. Thanks in advance guys/girls.

[Q] Google Voice Text Messages

Ok guys, I can't find a thread on this so here's my situation. I have a nookColor, I'm currently running Froyo on it and I would like to be able to have my Google Voice text messages get stored like normal texts so I can use something like Handcent or GoSMS to send and recieve messages through my GV number. If anyone knows of a way to do this or could point me at some files to poke through I'd be much appreciative
I don't think this is possible, but if it was, it'd be very convenient for me to have as well.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S2 LTE (SHV-E110S) SMS

My phone was locked to T-world, but it's now rooted and ready to go! BUT i have one problem and that is SMS. I'm limited to a maximum of 80 letters. obviously that is not even close to what I want and almost all my texts are longer than 80.
I need to type in my own phone number too, seriously annoying.
My question is..
is it possible to just replace the whole SMS bit from my phone with the one in the regulare GS2? If this is possible (fingers crossed), how do I do that? I'm a n00b with android and the entire operating system, so go easy on me .
I tried various kinds of SMS applications, however none of them work. With the stock SMS app I can send/receive sms, but with the other apps it's not working at all.
Another tip I got was to find a jolly old phone and type in my phone nr there in the settings as a simple "hack", but I tried a few phones but can't seem to find this option in any of them.
My phone is rooted, and ready to be dug into.
Please help me out guys (and gals)
I really want a fix for this, please help
sms
I was able to get Go SMS PRO (free on Google Play Market) to work and I can send 160 character messages if that will help you out.
handcent sms
download handcent sms app from google play open it go to settings>send message settings>scroll down and you will see this option ''if you are using a samsung'' and check this option.its working with me.

[Q] Send calls directly to voicemail in Jelly Bean 4.1.1?

I have just purchased the GS3, which is my 4th Android phone; and, it has the Jelly Bean v4.1.1. OTA firmware update.
In my other Android phones, I could edit individual contacts to go directly into voicemail.
I cannot find that feature in the contacts edit mode on my GS3. The closest I can find is a setting to add the contact to a 'reject list', which just blocks the call.
Does anyone know if it is still a feature in JB; and, if so...where it can be accessed?
Thanks, in advance.
PJA
When you are in the stock Phone app, press the Menu Key and tap on Call Settings. Tap on Call Rejection and then tap on the Auto reject list. From the list, click on the + sign to add a new number from call logs, contacts or typing the number in directly.
It took me a while to find this also. Hope it helps!
Solution?
Hi there,
Just wondering if you ever found a solution for this? If I've understood rightly the above answer only allows you to reject individuals whereas you wanted to send certain contacts straight to voice mail... Which is what I'm trying to do on a Galaxy S4.
Did you manage it or find an app that does something similar?
Thanks for your help,
Dan

Thanks to some great devs blocking mode is working again, though Verizon removed it.

Default SMS issue 6.0

I tried searching for this but it's so specific and I'm quite possibly using the wrong terms.
Let both of my LG G3 update to Android 6.0 (D85030p) and the default SMS messenger has stopped working with my text banking and retirement balance texts.
They will send and receive texts from other people but not these 6 digit numbers. No response from either one even trying to re-register the phone with each institution.
Google Messenger works just fine but lacks the only feature I like about the default G3 SMS, the ability to lock/keep a reply from being deleted. Even when deleting an entire conversation, the locked replies within are saved. That is the only feature I am missing.
Can anyone recommend another SMS app that has this feature or maybe there is a setting somewhere with the default SMS that I'm just not seeing ?
There are a million SMS apps in the play store and trying to read each one for details gets old after about 20 minutes. Hopefully there is a fix or another app that has this feature that someone here knows about.
Thank you.
Guess I'll answer my own question.
The Verizon messaging app has the features I'm looking for.
