So, what is keoli TV ?
Keoli TV is an application that provides access to the entire TV guide for Freeview, Freesat, Sky channels, … and that from any Android device. Indeed, we have over 400 channels available in the DATA base !!!
The application is easy to use with a smart UI, has many usefull features, and runs very fast.
That will be the perfect answer for all of you who get confused with the large number of channels, spending most your time flicking from channel to channel to find something interresting to watch.
Main features of Keoli TV (v2.1.557):
- Running TV programs ("now" Tab)
The +: The TV program progress in time is shown with a progress bar.
- TV guide for the early evening, 2nd part of the evening and late evening. ("Tonight" Tab)
The +: With the swipe (Slide to the left) you can have a quick look at the evening planed TV programs.
- More than 400 TV channels available !
The +: Customize your list of commercial supplied channels (Tsky, freesat, freeview)
Others features :
- Consult the summary, casting, director of each TV program.
- Ability to customize your TV listing.
- Filter programs by genre (Sport, Movie, Magazine ...)
- Consult the channel's TV programs for 6 days ahead.
- Interact with facebook and publish your opinion on a TV program on your wall.
- Ability to move the application on the SD card (Android 2.2)

I've recently start developing a new and exciting app for Android TV - it called Jinge and all it does - is a simple thing:
Creates a non-stop playing linear TV channel from your personal Plex Library.
Why do you need this?
Let say you have a huge library of TV shows and you want to watch some shows once in a while, but you don't want to choose a specific show, season or episode - you just want something to be played, just like on your TV - but with your personal and favorites shows.
Jinge is not just a random playlist - it is much more than that -
It generates a list of shows in random order, each show will have two consecutive episodes (starting some random season and episode)
The list is infinite - after the last episode of a season - comes the first episode from the next season, after the last episode of a show, comes the first episode of the show and go on.
You can simply navigate episode you want during playback and the generated list will continue from there.
Endless play - no matter what happens - whenever your Plex server restarts or your home network dies, Jinge will never stop, it will wait until the Plex library will be available and will continue playing automatically. (I have it running for several days without any interruption)
How to install
Since the app is in its early days of development, you'll have to join to the early preview channel by joining on this link:

Setup
Your Android TV device and your Plex server must be in the same home network.
Launch Jinge on your Android TV - Click "Setup" and then write your Plex server host address on "Host" field. you can leave "Port" empty if you are using the default one (32400).
Click "Back" and then "Done", then go to https://plex.tv/link on your mobile or PC and enter the pin code displayed on your TV.
Your whole TV library will be loaded and will start playing immediately.

I wrote this TV companion application a few years ago. It needed a major refactor and I finally got around to it. It's a free app with limited ads. The rating is terrible right now as it has been broken for a few months. I hope the new updates encourage more positive reviews.
The application works for different use cases: Use it with your big box TV or watch live TV in the app
Let me go over some of the features in more detail:
-A live map and compass guide to the best direction to point your TV antenna based on your location.
All TV station information: Channel Name, Channel Number, Channel Frequency, and more.
Station broadcast overlay: Allows you to see exactly where the station can reach.
Built in TV Remote (for devices with a built in IR Blaster).
Watch live local News streams from any city in the USA.(FOX, CBS, NBC, ABC, CW)
Watch nearly any live stream: Live Cable TV, Live OTA Broadcast TV, Live Sports. (Even works with major cable providers like Comcast and AT&T)
The last 2 are what make the application unique. TV Towers uses a custom video player which makes it all possible. It's the secrete sauce to what makes the app special. You can literally use the app to watch live ESPN sports broadcasts using picture in picture mode while you browse XDA The app really is powerful.
That being said, there are a ton of different manufacturers for Android with multiple different form factors and OS flavors. I only have 2 devices and a basic emulator... If you spot a bug or something that does not look right please leave a comment here so we can collaborate on how to correct it. I love writing code and solving problems. If you have an idea or something you would like to see in the application then please let me know!
