Yeah, that's where Angry Birds for Android released first too.

If i recall correctly, this website used to release Java games for those older dumb phones. Thus the "jar".

I have no idea why a game would need to be able to read my contacts(?!), but I installed it anyway because it looked good, and it is really good!
Makes me wonder what other permissions apps I've installed have, I should probably start paying more attention to them..

this game is addicting!

I believe the reason it needs that permission is for sharing purposes.
Whenever a game has "tell my friends" built into it, it requires that permission.

Looks like they are doing it free to promote the add on pack which is $4.99 in game. Hey that works for me!

They needed an addon for the game, the end is pretty lame.

Just tried downloading got the game no problem but when it had to download the other 240 mb it said i have no wifi connection even though I used wifi to download the damn game! What a bunch of crap

Not my type of game but at least you can play to decide if you like it before deciding if you want to take your enjoyment further with the full game

It failed on me the first time too, so I turned timeout on 30minutes... then went straight through without a hitch.

Hmm on Sony Ericsson's facebook it says the addon is included and free.

Still won't let me download keeps saying no internet connection found then closes
Edit: I just got a buddy to hook it up it wouldn't get past the "no internet connection" which is total bs

I've just registered because of this. Been waiting for this game to come down in price and BOOM! It's now free for Xperia Play users which I just happen to be.
Except that I can't play it because the fecking app can't find my wifi connection??? WTF? I've tried everything, wifi, data (EDGE), it just won't find it.
Would realy appreciate some advice, thanks.

Just registered to say, this is by far one of the best games on Xperia Play.

I would post some screenshots if I could; I've spent about 27 hours playing the game so it's quite immersive and very playable.

When I downloaded the game, it was just stuck. Then it was like, no internet connection...

Works well for me, not to far into it though. Just got back into terran territory

I pretty much have clocked it in 2 - 3 days and most of my tech is at maximum.... tempted to buy the Add-On but only if the game isn't short... Anyone got the add-on yet?
It is a pretty cool game but lacking some good side quests.

I am making the commitment and buying the expansion pack because it is wicked!

did anyone notice the change in textures on some objects after installing valkyrie and kaamo? some objects look just flat grey (asteroids), including the ship and stations. Is this normal? jees it looks ugly now.

So they updated it and changed something with the wi-fi download, the first screen is definitely different now. Except that I still cannot download it (the resource file), it now says Apache server error or something. This is getting ridiculous.

Bought this yesterday, it is awesome. THe touchpads works so well and the graphics are bright and crisp and clean. Sat down to play it for a couple minutes, 45 minutes later I was like" oh crap". Really a fun game. And I cannot stress how nice the touchapds work, THe dev did a seriouslt good job with the programming for touchpads. I prefer this to Dungeon Hunter series.....

Thia game has Japanese language. How can i do it english?

Mine is in English, did you get our from the PLAY store? I am aware there is another version for all android phones but its in Korean.

Not going to comment on the warez part, the game itself is 1.99 on the PLAY store and in my opinion is totally worth it. And not that its a big deal but currently this game is Xperia PLAY exclusive on the market. You want english and Xperia support I highly recommend supporting the developer of the game and buying it, it really is a fun game and @ 1.99 is a steal already (you see that....pun..)

Not currently, but I believe I read somewhere that they will add it in later, dont know if its local or online..

Do you think you can do a gameplay video for it? I just want to see it physically running before I buy it. As it is I may buy it anyways, just want to be sure because I only have 6.85 on my prepaid card atm..and was thinking of getting an.rcon app for my admin duties for my gaming clan.

I do have the screencast app, I can use that to record what I am playing. But be advised that the screencast app makes anything you do on the phone look al ittle laggy. Trust me this game flies.... and with nice graphics to boot. IF people really want to see it let me know and I can do a quick video of it and post a link here. If others have played it please post your thoughts on it as well.

The game boots really fast. Surprisingly I didnt see any lag considering the high graphic and effects etc even if your phone is OC or not.
Imo the only missing feature right now is multiplayer.

I agree. Multiplayer would be awesome and is the only thing missing..

So i went back to gingerbread today and I have to say this is one of the best games to come out for some time. I was wondering why i was getting lag spikes and it installed on my sd, moved to phone,no lag at all and it only has a 1.3mb size!

Sonic 4 Episode I R800x problem?

So with Episode 2 now officially available, I wanted to load up Episode 1, b/c there's some connectivity bonuses, and when I go to the Play store to download Ep1 to my play, it says the game isn't compatible? What?? I have an R800x. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

I dont think it was ever released officially for the Play. I know, it makes no sense to release part II for the Play but not part I.
There are other ways to get it (and it does run fine), but I say support those game makers that you can.

I bought it and played it on my TF101 before I sold it, so I have a TB backup of the app, but whenever I try to play it on my Play, the movement physics are a bit wonky. Is this how it should be?

No, I have a copy on my Play and it runs very well. Some stages have a little bit of slow down but it gets right back up to speed most of the time.
I also bought it legitimately on the Market for my Tablet S

I can't either, I will probably buy it on my Iconia and then ti backup it over to my Play

i didn't bought it but i can say it runs ok played a few minutes and the controls are working

If it wasn't made immediately obvious by now, the problem here is that SEGA only allows R800i users to play Sonic 4 Ep. I, and likewise - it's just one build.prop edit away.
I've notified them on multiple occasions; SEGA's being absolutely resilient to fix this issue.

My Little Pony Friendship is Magic (AVAILABLE NOW, FREE!)

Yeah so... I might be the only person here who's looking forward to this game. There's no official release date available yet, but Gameloft has announced that it will be available 'later this year' and will be on both iOS and Android.
From what I can tell it looks to be a city builder type game. Playing mini games to earn points, then using those points to buy houses, ponies, items...so on and so forth.
So my questions to you all is: Are you excited for this game? Do you think It'll satisfy My Little Pony fans? Will you be buying this? & If so how much are you willing to pay?
I personally think I will be a good game if they do 2 simple things. Listen to what the fans have to say, and have it reflect future episodes, meaning if new ponies make their appearance in season 3, I think Gameloft should add them into the game and to do as much as possible to have the game reflect the TV show. If they keep the updates coming this game should have some lasting appeal & replay value.

Like you said, as long as Gameloft listens to what the fans have to say. And of course new ponies and cannon names and the whatnot. And I hope that they include some of the maybe not so well known background ponies. Such as Lyra, Bon Bon, and Dr. Whooves, etc.. I'd probably pay anywhere between 5 and 10 dollars. Depending on how much content is actually in the game.

Possibly....even if I stopped watching it after season 2 episode 1....I still read the fanfics though lol.

They could make great use of the Xperia Plays touch pads on this game, instead of touch swiping the screen to navigate you could just use the touch pads. And the mini games could make great use of the D-pad. The game has huge potential hopefully they put effort into this instead of just selling the name and making a quick buck.

The only 'major' issue I've come across is the inability to connect to Gameloft & stay connected.
It's a flaw in the game, I expect this to be fixed pretty soon considering most challenges have to do with connecting to gameloft and interacting with other ponies.
All in all a pretty good game tho, I've played it more than Halo 4 so far...

things get sort of expensive later down the road, but they don't force it on you. I'm level 23 and I haven't spent a dollar yet. As long as you manage your in game money you should be fine.

Not really, after you hit level 20 everything you need is pretty much there. I currently have 35,000+ bits right now and that number increases every 3 minutes or so. I've also done all the available 'challenges' for the time being (besides the GL ones obviously)
So yeah hopefully we'll see an update soon...
