Battery drain.

Cell standby anf phone idle are eating my battery. Is there a fix for this? Im running the MIUI 1.8.19 If that helps.

What is a kernel???

Hello XDA people,
Can someone explain to me what is a kernel, and what does it do?
Currently I'm using the rok senseless extreme, and I would like to know if by flashing a kernel my phone will b faster or if the batery life will be improve?

Yes. Try undervolting if your chip can handle it. Darkside governor works well, also.

Faux's is always best for me.

Tdj is the man when it comes to aosp kernels, faux is also good I'm running one.of his kernels on my amaze

Not much. And depends on the rom.
It will just tell you how fast the cpu and gpu can work. But the real test is you trying out the rom by your self

So basically if a rom has faster down & upload speeds than another rom it doesn't mean that the faster rom is nesicarilly better than the other one? Thanks

No. Wait
If you mean Internet speed. It various from rom to rom unfortunately. You have to check the bugs list. And also you have to try the rom as it also various from device to device.
