Anybody use this? I use it on my xperia arc. What settings do people use?

pointless script is pointless on devices with as much ram as the tf101

Theres no need to rewrite parts of Android, they work fine.

And a simple search would have provided the information as this has already been discussed for the TF.....

how do i make an android app to connect to my forum?

Hey guys i need some help. can someone tell me how to make an android app that connects users to my forum?
What do you want your app to do? Hyperlink your users to a forum on the web or have an integrated forum as part of your app?
Check out the "Droid Forums" app on the Android Market...great example of a forum app. See if that's what you want to do and copy it!

how do you copy it?
I would also be interested in this.
ie how did XDA get an XDA APP
how would I do the same thing for "another" forum ?
does it require integration with the forum itself?
IE zettaboards is there a way to make a forum app for a zettaboards forum?
ahh think I found it
http://www.tapatalk.com/
I know nothing about it yet but I think this is what the XDA and SU apps are built on
OK tapatalk is a non starter for us average joe's $999 !! ouch
but if you make a proboards account you can use the proboards app
I am trying that now.

While tapatalk does cost $999 for a custom app, your forum users could just use the generic tapatalk app if you have the free tapatalk files installed on your sever.

Sorry to post on a kind of old topic... but I'm interested on doing that! I want users can access the forum I manage, similar like Tapatalk, but in a free way.
How can I do it? Can I copy the files or something? I don't mind if I need to buy Tapatalk for doing a free app...
Thanks!
Sorry to bring an old thread, but i thought it would be better reviving this one than making a new one.

Well, I looked on Internet for that, I read a lot but with no luck at the end. I still don't know if it's possible in a easy and not so expensive way. My forum is also on Tapatalk and Forum Runner.

I found perfect site for creating apps...Yesterday I ended up on some site called apps-machine.com . I have to share it with you guys. I started creating my own app and after 15 minutes clicking on their control panel(no programming, just clicks) I made app in what user could make effects on their photos, paint photos, play music, play videos, have notepad, chat and stream music. They got literally 1000's of features on their control panel I think this could be a gold mine And I read something that they have free app development and so on. Aaand you can change everything all the backgrounds,colors,tabs...and you instantly see it on that same page through their simulator..don't know how they managed to do that but it is super handy...I am super excited at the moment..time to get some apps on apple and play store

Tablet Serial Numbers

I am going to be receiving an Asus Transformer soon and was wondering how the different serial numbers effect rooting, clockwork, roms, and etc.?
Also, what exactly is NVFlash used for?

(Tutorial) How to use the search feature on XDA

I have been seeing a recent trend lately so I thought this may help.
How to Search XDA Forms
If you are a noob, or if you just have a general question and you are feeling a little too lazy to read through other forms then this is what you do before you start a new thread about your problem.
(99% of the time your problem has already been talked about)
XDA App Search Feature
For the XDA app go to the °more° tab and click on the little eye glass and simply type in your question or some key words of the problem you are having.
XDA-Developers Website
This may be a little more difficult but stick with me. There is a bar that says search, type in your question or key words of your question and see if you can find what you are looking for. Now for the advance users look around for a topic that you have a question about in the respected form area (I.E. development or Q&A) and search key word of your problem and search that form for your answer
Recommended method you can read the form in its entirety!
Hope this helps and it’s not meant to be rude it’s a noticeable problem.
Probably will be ignored by those who need this most but thank you for saying it.

Thats how most forums are, so either get used to it or dont come lol. I don't think I've ever seen a tech forum that wasn't inundated with the same question over and over.

That's not necessarily true. I came from the Evo 4g and the forums over there tended to be pretty clean with that stuff. The mods were all over the forums and older users helped the new users on how to search. I don't know what the Evo forums were like when the evo first launched but at least now there isn't much of the same BS that is running rampant over here.

Knowledge is power bro! These forms will be what we make them if we let people post non-since then we will always have that problem. I am also not dumb enough to think multiple questions will not ever happen.
i take the most issue with the app. it doesn't allow the searching of a forum or a thread... it searches ALL of xda for your terms... which is useless... you might make a few searches work, but over all what you need to a search of the forum you're viewing... i mean i could really care less about the rooting issues on a WP7 device when i'm trying to search for SGS3 info...
but over all the search on the website is stellar

While I agree worth your point, its frustrating not being able to use 'search this thread'in the app, you do know you can limit it to categories at least right? For example you could specify to search just the Verizon SG3 forums instead of all of xda.

If you do go to purchase it choose your color first. What I mean its if you want one of the ICS compatible colors those are separate apps. It's the same functionality you just have to buy the theme separate. But you don't need the original tapatalk to make the themes work. Make sense?
It's would be nice if the search feature was built into the application better. Is it possible to search a specific forum rather than the entire xda?

I answered the original question. It shouldn't be used and the reason why is mentioned in the towelroot guide by the thread OP so do yourself a favour and read it instead of acting like no one answered your question.
...and if it suits you fine, just bloody use it and answer your own questions instead of creating pointless threads.

The question was 'Will towelroot work after latest update?'
Your answer was 'There are issues with towelroot anyway. Root properly. '
And you really dont see why I have a problem with your answer. Not matter how many times you try and post it ,you have not answered the question (Vin4Yak did make a reasonable attempt to answer in that 'it should work'. I can accept that)
Then to take this futher I'm yet to see why Towelroot 'has issues' or 'no longer works properly'. I've headed over to the 3700 post thread about it, and still I'm yet to see anything telling everybody to stay away.
I'm aware my bootloader is still locked and potentially with root I could screw my phone (and due to no unlocked bootloader could be in big trouble), but I'm quite happy being in that position.
If you fancy posting some usefull info rather than direct people elsewhere with vague answers then feel free , otherwise thankyou for your post but it hasnt helped so you might as well not have bothered.

Towelroot doesn't work before the update. It wont work after the update. The guide in General (where all our guides are) that is not 3700 posts long explains why,
Or just try it yourself. The update is 100% irrelevant. It has not patched the exploit, but it is not the exploit that is the problem. Its SuperSU that is the problem, again - which is all explained in the guide, over in general
Right got the thread now. I've posted in there. Thanks

What is with forum culture that makes people against linking to other threads they are discussing.
Just post a ******* link to the thread so every other user that see's your post can easily find what you are talking about rather than searching high and low through the whole forum - i.e. 'over in general', do you mean Nexus 5 General, or XDA General? It's really not hard to just post a LINK. Once I found the 'guide in General' I could find no other info on towelroot - http://puu.sh/aHF5u/524526b849.png
Sorry to be rude, it just really grinds my gears - it's not hard to link something if you know where it is and saves everyone else loads of time.

Fair point.
However, it is widely accepted here that the search function of this site is mediocre at best. Just do everyone a favour and post a link rather than taking the moral high ground.

We usually take a "give a man a fish, he can feed himself for a day. Give a man the means to fish and he can feed himself for a lifetime" approach.
I purposely do NOT give links for things that are sticky threads. If there is a sticky thread in General, "over in General" is a sufficient description to find the information required. If I give every idiot who asks a question a single link, he will not notice all the other glorious sticky threads that we here in this forum put much effort into answering as many questions as we possibly can without devoting our entire existance to repeating the same answers over and over... and over.
We take pride in our stick threads and once someone sees them, a wealth of knowledge unfolds. Knowledge we willingly pass on. If we simply give everyone a link, all we will be doing is linking the same person to different things all the time. We're being helpful without being detrimental to ourselves.

Search is easy to use. Posting a link is as easy as going to general and typing "towelroot" into search. You're ressurecting an old thread. Towelroot is not a favoured solution, so it is no longer stickied.

I don't accept that. I find everything I want in search, if I know the search term to use. Even in Tapatalk. Failing that, google can serch XDA very well too. This is just an excuse. The bigger picture is that the true favour is not posting a link. Heroin addict is in pain, needs a hit. Posting link is buying him the hit. Not posting the link, or better yet, sending him to rehab is the better favour.
You admit there is a high ground then?
For all those who say the search is mediocre - I find it perfectly fine and easy to use, 9/10 times I'll find what I'm looking for if I know it exists. Maybe you're just doing it wrong.
