I'm on my way to getting a Xoom and I was wondering if it were possible to use my Wacom Intuos pen with a soft tip + screen protector for drawing/writing on my Xoom. I'm a photoshop buff and an aspiring graphic artist and this would make life so much easier. The other pens I've seen for the Xoom are chunky and far from precise and I figured if I already had something that would work, why not save the money?
Try Adonit Jot/JotPro. Very much more precise.

does anyone know of a capacitance stylus like the one found on the ibm thinkpad?
i prefer this one more than using a fat round ball tip one like the ones found at bestbuy and on pogo stylus'.
and before anyone points out the obvious - this stylus is not capacitance; it is wacoms proprietary technology. the ibm thinkpad uses both capacitance and wacom as it's touch driver.

I have a big rubber tipped stylus and a ten one spongy tipped stylus, and I'm not happy with either. I would like to try the ostylus. Engadget said the biggest flaw is you have to be pretty accurate with the 'o', but if you drawing or something, it may be better than a sponge.

As for trying to get a more pen like one, the wacom one is not the best, but it may be the best compromise. I suppose the hardest part is to get the amount of capacitance needed within the rubber or close enough to the screen for it to work.

I've got the Bestbuy Rocketfish spongy ball stylus. It works a little better than your fingers, but not much. I'd love to find something more precise. The website says it works on all touch screens, so don't see why it would not work on a TP.
i heard you can make a stylus by putting some thermally conductive glue on the end of a stylus, like the glue used as a heatsync gel thing on cpu's and the such. I think you can get the heatsync at radioshack.

it works well with some of the Android apps.unfortunately there is not much on the TP side.
Having trouble finding a stylus with a thin tip on it, all I can find are ones with the fat round tip. Trying to use a design program on tab and need precise selections with a stylus and the fat tips aren't cutting it.
Any input will be appreciated.

You might have a look at the Samsung stylus line; the tips appear to be smaller, though it might be their shape. The jot stylus uses a different type of nib altogether - worth ckecking out. And you might try an Amazon search for "brush stylus" and see what pops up. If, I'm not mistaken, capacitve styluses need to have big nibs to function properly. Mibs!

Take a look at the Adonit Jot. It has its own problems but it is the only capacitive stylus I have ever seen that doesn't use a fat, rubber tip. It is excellent for precise drawings.
Now just curious and I hope I'm not barging in on this but... Would a stylus with a thin point be better for use with screen protector? I have yet to find a stylus that claims it works fine with a screen protector
Let me edit this to be more clear: I'm trying to find a Stylus that works well with screen protectors. I have used a couple that my friends have but they all didn't work well. I want one that works well not crappy.

From what I have found, the only type of stylus that will work with our tabs is a fat one or one with a conductive foam that mimics the finger. The thin smaller ones, like ones used for wacom tablets, use a different type of screen response altogether like the one found in the galaxy note or older palm pilots for example.
As far as working with a screen protector, it requires significantly more pressure and closer to a 90 or perpandicular angle for my griffin stylus to get picked up. Without the protector it works pretty well at most angles. This is only from personal experience with an armorsuit screen protector and a griffin stylus. I'm sure different combinations would produce varying results, but most likely similar to the point of frustration.
If you are looking to legitimately draw and illustrate I'd suggest sticking with a wacom. That's my preference at least.

I own the Jot and have used it on an iPad and an Asus Transformer. I also own an HP TM2 with a digitizer and a Wacom stylus. No capacitive only screen will be as acurate as a tablet with an active digitizer, such as my HP or a Galaxy Note. If you only have a capacitive screen the Jot differs in that it uses a small metal point surrounded by a clear plastic disc instead of a rubber tip, so it is much more precise than other capacitive styluses. However, although I haven't had problems, some people have had issues with the disc wearing out or have claimed that the tip scratched their screen. Just to be safe I only use it on gadgets with Gorilla glass. To sum up, for precise drawings its the best I've found for a capacitive screen, but if you plan on doing serious work get yourself a unit with an active digitizer - if you use a capacitive only screen like the iPad or 7 plus you're basically using finger paints.

I just got a Note 10.1 and promptly put a Zagg shield on it because I have a bad habit of abusing screens somehow (this one is going to be used in a cockpit, so I'm guessing I'm going to be scraping the control yoke across it more than once). Now that its on there though, I've noticed that the S-Pen tends to stick while I'm using it and doesn't glide all that effectively, even after switching it over the the plastic tip. So I'm hoping someone here might be able to point me towards a stylus that will work well with the Note 10.1, while also working well with the Zagg shield. I should also point out that I'm currently looking at Wacom Bamboo stylus feel because it retains the S-Pen functionality while feeling more like a pen, so if anyone has experience working with this one, hopefully in conjunction with the Zagg shield, please let me know if its worth it, or if I should look elsewhere.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 Galaxy C-Pen Stylus Pen works perfectly with the 8.4" Tab S. Though the product specs say it works only on S3, I tried it wit the Tab S and it just glided.
The pen looks premium with a metal body and a hard tip. The hard tip gives it a nice feel while writing as compared to the usual hollow rubber tips.

I can tell you do not get the Wacom Bamboo Fineline. Apparently in this case, when the box says it's for ipad, they mean it. It's bluetooth and it paired with the tablet, but even using one of the special apps that are made specially to work with wacom styli (Bamboo Paper), this didn't work any better than a $9 Targus slim 6mm. If you hold the pen exactly perpendicular, the tablet registers the point. If you hold the pen like a human being at an angle to the surface, the tablet registers a point 2 or 3 mm away from where the point touches the surface, in the direction that the pen leans. Garbage. So I have a Samsung C-pen coming in the mail from ebay. Probably the only time I'm glad I have relatives who own ipads. haha

No the S-pen does not work at all. Yes I tried, I have a note2 and note3. S-pen requires special digitizer hardware behind the screen.

The thin tip does not allow for much give and also the tip does bend under slightest pressure. Thats why I prefer wider tip stylus. I have tested numerous pens, and the cheapest 1,- EUR thingies turned out to be as good as the most expensive ones, if not better. The Wacom Bamboo works nicely too, though it is a bit heavy for my likings.

I can't seem to find 'EUR' stylus, Wacom Bamboo I heard lots of negative reviews of it, its all mixed reviews actually lol.

Anyone happen to know of a keyboard case for note pro 12.2 that is hinged so that it is adjustable like a laptop? Rather than viewing angle slots or kickstand? I'd be eternally grateful
Probably not as it would be difficult to design so that you could use it in portrait mode.
That would require a massively heavy keyboard and a serious heavy-duty set of hinges....
Which means you'd end up with the bulk of a laptop. Doubt anyone made that.
