Please flash it on Open Recovery.
It's Flashing Guide.
1. Flashing 2.1 ROM with RSD Lite
2. please install openrecovery app
3. Click Install openrecovery.
4. Copy FroyoMod rom file (zip) in sd root / OpenRecovery / updates /
5. Open openercovery app and click reboot openrecovery button
6. install rom
7. Enjoy!

At this site i download and installed cm6 from here but when i installed it said it was cm7 so did not try to boot it.

It should be renamed the Earth Gravity ROM since I now have zero Gs.

Even after adding the APN, I only get G. No EDGE, no 3G, no H.
I am going to try APN Manager.

if i move it there you will not be able to reply to the topic, you have less than 50 post

It probably needs the baseband updated. Based on what's in the Androidiani stuff for A853 this is the /system/motorola/bp_nvm_default directory. I guess that needs to match your sbf? Maybe we should compile a bunch of basebands and make an XT720 targeted recovery...

There is no /system/motorola folder in this build.

/dev/block/mtdblock10 /system/etc/motorola yaffs2 ro 0 0
In that way I use the baseband from the right for me sbf

Oops. That was a typo. It's in /system/etc/motorola.

Yeah, except all the custom ROMs I've seen (even on Milestone A853) specifically disable that. That fact makes me think there's something up. It's the cust partition in nandroid (it's yaffs format).

I had run comparing, when I was stock.
they were equal. So I decided to use the cust partition. (there was commented entry in the stock inits)
Actually they are mounted ro, and in my opinion are used just once to populate /data/bp_nvm.......
Then the data in data is modified and used.
I have no concern using cust position, as the whole nand is the same. So some reading of it wont hurt

wow thats weird that update looks strangly like the one i posted.

Well the cm6 boots only had to fix 3g and su.update.

This build seems solid after the 3g fix is applied. Only thing is, the screen rotation is not working. Sensors not supported?

[Q] need help flashing miui extended settings

I'm running version .07 but all I can find for extended settings in version 14 I believe (not sure if the version matters) when I try and flash I get an aborted fail message.

Yes version matters.........
u have to have the right ES Mod to go with the right MiUi version.......
i have had issues with this as well, and even when i did get it flashed.....i got force closes on certain things.
AND your abort failed message may just be you NOT mounting the System.
Go into Recovery Mounts and Mount it. then flash

But where can I find version 07? The site where I downloaded the rom from only showed version 14

Today International Atrix2 was updated to version 55.28.37
It is not ICS and still is on Gingerbread.
Please share if you are updated too, and any idea on change log?
I am experiencing a new screen lock and more smooth navigation.
Will update the Changes as i find them.

First you need to root it using one click root in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=18942700
Then you just need the atrix 2 bootstrapper apk. Download it from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1346977
Then you simply reboot into recovery and select backup. Let it finish. Reboot back into phone.plug in usb to your pc and mount.then just find the clockworkmod folder on sdcard. Open it.then open backup folder.then open the folder there which will be a bunch of numbers. Finally youll see some files.the "system.ext.tar" is the file i need.just copy it to your computer anywhere and upload onto rapidshare or filedropper.

What is the reason? I used OTA root keeper to backup root.

created the cwm backup... now uploading it to filedropper...
sry uplink is quite slow... might take some time..

I'm rooted using the one click method. Stock recovery. Will I be able to apply the update? Will I loose root? If yes, will I be able to root again using the one click method?
Edit: I unrooted. Yet, the update fails! Any ideas??

CM10 4G issues

Why do I have so many issues with CM10 and 4g just dropping. All at once ill reboot and it tells me it cannot activate and I have to reboot again. Is there a fix to this? I am running Clean Rom 5.0 now and its working perfectly. For some reason the CM10 roms give me problems. THanks

What radio are you using? I experienced shoddy reception on the later radios on AOSP myself (K1, J1). G7 and F2 generally worked fine on any rom for me.

Awesome I was able to download the latest Modem and flash is via recovery. Very fast and easy. Thanks for all the help.

Service on and off with CM 10.1

Hi all,
I installed 10.1 on my phone, and I love it. It made it stable, fast, and very good with battery performance, but... while in Italy I had no problems at all. Since I'm in the States, T-mobile service will suddenly go off. If I reboot the phone, typically is on, for how long? Who knows...
Does anyone else have this problem and/or know how it could be fixed?
