I was checking for updates and then it appeared. Android 2.2 Froyo!!!!
Go to settings-->about phone-->system software updates-->check now

[Question] Should i root my xe? I'm kinda dissapointed with the update.

I have some question here and i'm so desperate. I duno if i should root my sensation xe. I'm afraid of getting the buggy roms ( no offence ) with some buggy functions such as the wifi issue, camera issue, or bluetooth issues. Can anyone give me some advice or suggestions? Thanks a lot =]

Do it and load up ARHD.. i wont guarantee that the bugs might go away but hey.. even iOS aint perfect either..

Well I waited for the OTA for T-Mobile and could not wait any longer so I S=off and installed OrDroid and I am loving it.... updates or coming for it too.

ICS is released on a per phone basis.

ICS has been released on alot of devices, read up on your devices section to see how they are working on it

This is one of those days I wish I had a fast enough machine (and the right toolchain) set up for building from source... My box has enough horsepower to run eclipse and build Android apps, but to build Android from source I would need to _Get A Real Computer_.

PS: Teorically, for ics there was a way, but never worked for me.

Yea, that post/method may not work with jb, or with all versions of the a2, but my suggestions are still a good starting point.. and you probably could've posted this there instead of creating a new thread on the same subject.
It can be done though.. good luck to whoever has the time and desire to dig into it.
