I was just wondering if Supercurio had given up trying to configure Voodoo Sound on the G2X because now it seems like he is putting all of his focus on the Samsung Galaxy S2 devices. I really love Voodoo Sound and right now the only thing he has done with the G2X is a headphone volume boost, so all in all i wanted to know if anybody could fill me in. Thanks.

Ok I am coming from the Nexus S with Voodoo Sound and Picture and wow if you only knew how amazing Voodoo really is my biggest problem with my Nexus S was the in ear sound output. It was quickly remedied by the installation of PowerAmp, but that got old fast because although it sounds good its still not loud. I honestly want a phone that makes me have to turn the sound down so I don't blow my ear drums or cars speakers. I have amazing headphones iBeats by Dre to be exact and with Voodoo it made my phone sound amazing!!!!! But now i have the Inspire 4G i need a upgrade ASAP. Post away with any incite regarding a sound driver kernel or app anything please and thank you.

This kernel has speaker volume boost and is confirmed to work with Inspire stock ROM

There's a Inspire 4G ROM with this kernel already included here. It may be easier to just flash the ROM. It's a good one.

thank you i honestly dont have an inspire but since the inspire/desire hd/ evo/ thunderbolt are all extremely similar i figured it might be possible to boost my Tbolts speed
Has anyone tried Voodoo Control Plus on Infuse? It is not listed as a compatible device but I understand the Infuse has the same sound hardware as the Captivate. I miss Voodoo Sound from my Captivate:

That app is only a controller to the kernel patch that is required...which is why Infuse is not supported yet.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using XDA App
not supported yet, the patch h8trift is reffering to is in the app (plus version only) as a kernel module now but it doesnt recognise the infuse as a compatable device, im not sure how hard it is to modify the module or any scritps that verify the device but it may be posible to port it. supercurio has indicated that it is in his plans. though he has alot of things in his plans and has an sgs2 as well as a lg transformer now so it is probably not in his immediate plans. what i will say is that the headphones sound on the infuse is probably better than the sgs. same hardware but maybe they have a better driver or hardware layout because i cant detect a bit of noise and my headphones are quite sensitive.
this is just fyi but for those rooted but not using custom kernels or roms the infuse has been added to the supported list for voodoo control plus app. if you would like to donate to supercurio this app is a great way to do it. plus you will get any new versions of the voodoo sound driver before it gets integrated into a custom kernels, though im not sure if he will be developing new driver versions, it may just need support in the app for driver features that are already there. still a good idea for anyone notusinga custom kernel or who would like to support one of the most significant developers for the sgs line of phones
Hello, I am completely ignorant when it comes to technical knowledge of kernels and hardware in general, so hopefully some light can be shed on this.
I recently discovered the magic of Voodoo audio on my Samsung Galaxy Tab, and I was wondering if it is even possible to ever get voodoo audio on the xoom. I know that an amplifier is required, but I honestly don't know if every device has a qualifyingly powerful amp inline with the headphone jack. I really just don't know, and while I love everything going on in the xoom dev section, the thing that keeps me using my SGT7 over my Xoom is the voodoo audio, so I thought I'd post here and see what people have to say.
Thanks in advance for the help, and please excuse my nubbiness =)

I would suggest sending a PM to SuperCurio, the creator of VooDoo sound, and asking if the Xoom is on his to do list. I know VooDoo currently supports the Asus Transformer up to 3.1, so if he is working on 3.2 support, perhaps it can ported to the Xoom
Thanks, I will message him. I bought his pro version of voodoo sound because it is simply the best thing I have discovered lately...my headphones simply weren't made to be used without decent amplification =)
yea I have this on my G2X but like using my Xoom for music more. If this were to come to the Xoom i would be even more happy to own a Xoom.
hey guys. I iust downloaded voodoo sound plus from the market, but it doesn't seem to.be making any difference. I've been messing with the toggles, and nothing I do has any effect on the sound, except for volume control. I have a pair of very nice Grados, so I don't think the problem lies there. I'm running Zeus Build 6 with Infusion A2 kernel. I made sure to turn on the kernel option thingie. Help is appreciated, as I'm really eager to get this up and running. Thanks!
I bought a Galaxy S2 (I9100) in Feb, and haven't had any problems with it. I'm an experienced tinkerer and currently studying software engineering so I've picked up a fair bit of the nuances of the phone. I installed CM7 on it almost immediately and loved it.
My mum liked my GS2 so much that she went and bought one today. She wants me to set it up like mine, and naturally I installed CM7 on it.
My problem is that when I use hers (also an I9100) its haptic feedback is no where near as intense as my GS2. I thought that I might have edited some of the Haptic Feedback settings, so I did a clean install of CM7 on my GS2, but its still the same as it was before.
I did a quick search of the forum before posting this, and saw one or two threads that had a related problem, but no solution.
My question in short is, How do I lower the haptic feedback intensity on CM7
