i know RaverX3X has worked a lot on this rom, but since his thread was closed, i did not know if he was still working on it, he updated his other roms but i havent heard a thing from this one, i would like to know if he gave up trying.

Just be patient, if he's still working on it, he'll probably inform us about it, if not, just keep waiting or accept the fact. I personally think he's still working on it during his free time, but he does have a quite a few roms out at the moment.

But as I said before, there will be a lull here because of holidays. I'm sure a lot of stuff will start to pick back up after the new year.

Hey guys. I cam to the epic hopeing to see more roms and more exciting things. Instead, I saw a not really supported device. So I am going to begin to port other 2.1 roms so it could fill the gaps we have between getting froyo. So I need some start suggestions. My first port is going to be the Droid X rom 2.1. So if you guys want me to port other 2.1 roms, you would have to send me a ROM dump please.

Dude he obviously has no idea wtf he is doing. He thought we could port the I9200 leak to the epic in a few minutes.... rofl.
Misspelling words are kinda key when developing. You don't want to misspell something and have it ruin your day with a device. He honestly doesn't know what he's doing. My only reason for the comment was due to the Gingerbread he wanted ported in 20 minutes. Go read that thread and you may agree with me then.

I realize that. I speak 2 languages myself. But I don't want him touching anything when commands need to be SPELLED CORRECTLY. He obviously struggles with simple words.

again tho, if he had come in and said hey my dad works for google i can get a leak of gingerbread for yall can someone help me, we woulda laughed but tried anyways.
instead a few weeks ago he joined heroc channel on fossnet and started pretending he was darchstar (one of our best devs) and he had a leak he was gunna work on with cm team to port it over. since then its spiraled into him being banned on fossnet and him evading it. now he is on the forum in another thread claiming there is a leak for gingerbread and demands that it is ported over, when i bust on him for being a fake he come in here and says he is gunna port a whole lot of roms for us we just need to supply the dumps....

I'm 14. Oh, and I have 2 ROMs out.
Ok listen up. Frst of all, I am typing straight from my epic, give me a break on spelling. Secound, I am not going to be developing on my own, as you may all know about IncredibleDoes in the incredible forum, well he was nice enough to offer to help me step by step on my first rom port (Droid X). I am still waiting on a reply from him so give me some time. And third of al, all of you ar telling me to port this that are not 2.1 roms when in the thread I said specificly 2.1! So calm down guys. I'm only trying to help.

Stop trying to flash the Vibrant CWM on the 4G, it will not work. You run the risk of doin' some srs bsnz to your shiny new handset flashing a cwm or sd fix that is not made for your phone. You will all have your Custom firmware fix soon.
If you feel a compulsion to donate to Krylon or myself, go nuts, i wont stop you!

Hey guys, crappy news. With whats happening in Japan im on a 45 day underway and i don't have time to send my phone off at the moment. We have to go hang by the coast and make sure nobody tries to take advantage of Japans situation. Wish my carrier group luck and if no-one has taken my place by the time i get back into Norfolk ill send my phone then.

Krylon, I know you haven't taken a look at the phone yet but Im new to the samsung world and curious about the differences from my G1. From another post I gather that the final product for installing/using CWM will involve a zip that is flashed from the standard recovery that replaces the standard recovery with CWM and then reboots? Is that what you think will end up doing to get CWM working? If so what about these phones require such a work around? I've tried doing some googleing but i get a lot of false positives in my results.

the kernel isn't a standard kernel. It uses a initramfs. which has recovery built into it. This is what makes it different.
With the closing of RaverX3X's thread {rom}cwm-audiophileX-All your Roms Belong to Us (MIUI build), It leaves me and probably a few others out there, is the idea of having a fully working MIUI for our SGS4G still possible? Raver seemed to be the only Dev out there working on this for us but he has now closed his thread after weeks of promising that he would rebuild the MIUI ROM from the ground up and have it fully working for us. Are there any other Devs out there that are secretly working on this for us? Or, has it become a lost cause? Has Raver left us completely, or just got tired of the trolls attacking his thread? With all that said, Raver and many other Devs have brought us some really awesome ROMs and tools for our phones. So, if you guys are listening, we really appreciate what you have done for us thus far, and if there are any plans for the greats like Raver, Krylon360, Dsexton, and DrHonk to name a few, we would be more than overjoyed and appreciative! And to the Devs out there that are secretly working on new ROMs for us, my hat goes off to you and we can't wait to see what you have to offer...

well it's a lot of work, and he's probably tired of working on it, lol. I don't blame him at all, especially after he made some great roms (even a miui themed one).
sometimes people need to take a break, and quit working on things for a while. Then maybe later down the road, someone will pick it back up.

I am just wondering, the sgs4g is a very amazing device, but it has almost no recognition, and for some reason, i have searched for hours, and there are no ways to get ics on this device, even though it is very capable of doing so. Also what is the nearest thing we can get to ics?

I guess, it's way too hot of a day(a joke) and we all need our ice cream, but it may be coming soon. After Bhundven finishes CM7. Raver is gonna pass the project to the rest of team acid who actually have a GS4G.
yes i have a build of ics for the sgs4g built from google source. It does boot but has some issues i no longer have the device so bug testing it for me is pretty much not going to happen. Once bryan and fb and m4x get done with cm7 i will give them access to my source and build environment so they can help me complete it. Unless someone wants to part with a sgs4g for a bit so i can finish it lol . You would get your device back .

ya my screen is fully functional just the gpu and cpu is fried from when i was building a proper Aosp Cm kernel and ****ed up some of the voltages. You could screen replace it just change out the mainboard on mine with his re assemble wala working device.
