AT&T Galaxy Tab 8.9 w/free Skyrocket Deal - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

So i went in to the AT&T store on Saturday to upgrade my phone since I was due. I was talking with the sales rep about the Skyrocket and slobbering over the 50Mbps download speeds, and he said if I was interested in the Galaxy Tab 8.9 I would get the Skyrocket for free. I told him I wasnt interested because I didnt want to get another data plan and the one for the Galaxy Tab 8.9 was $35/mo. He said I didnt have to get a data plan for it. Surprised, I told him I had seen the deal online but that it says you must get the $35 data plan. He said they found a loop hole in the system that allows them to skip the data plan for the tab as long as I have a data plan on the Skyrocket (which of course you have to have anyway).
So long story short, I walked out of the AT&T store with a new Skyrocket and Galaxy Tab 8.9 for $450 (he gave me a $30 discount over the advertised price also ) and I still have my $30/mo unlimited data plan on my phone. Essentially I got the Tab for $200. Did I get a steal or is this a known thing?
Love the tablet BTW, and it has a 4G LTE radio so if I ever want to get data on it I can.

Congrats! Yeah they have been doing this deal since black Friday but the post was a few pages back.
Enjoy! I passed on the 2 contracts deal myself ($450 plus $35/month x 24 months makes for an expensive tab) but if he got around that it makes sense.

Details on the loop hole please?? I need as much ammo as possible when I go visit my local att store!!

I did the same exact thing. Going to cancel the data in a few days since I wanted to try it.

Really this is working??
I almost pulled the trigger but only will use tablet on wifi so.. extra data plan ruined it..
details please.. im heading to att in a few hours..

I didnt have to cancel the tablet data plan, they never even put it on. He didnt elaborate, he just said they found a way to enter it into the system as it only validates that one of the devices (ie the new phone) has a valid data plan. It was a corporate AT&T store, not just a reseller, not sure if that makes a difference.

my sales rep gave me a 50$ account credit to try it after a month and then said i could come back and cancel it. i didnt want to be screwed over, so i wanted to know if he was 100% sure. he then gave me his home phone number as well on the back of the card and said text him whenever i wanted to cancel it and he would let me know when he was in the store next and he would do it.

I've just tried it and it didn't work. They tried everything, at least it looked like it. No deal. I even offered to switch from an iPad 3G plan, but without commitment, it can't be done for less than 629 or so.

commit then cancel

By cancelling you incur an ETF on the tablet if you don't return it. That was the whole point of the 2 yr contract discount no?
OP, what does the the receipt say? my guess is it would show how to get the tab rung out. Possibly the phone first, then the tab?

I got the 8.9 yesterday. They weren't willing to give me the deal but they gave me a $150 credit so I paid the full price with no contract. Anyone root it yet?

Sofar this device is non-rootable. I got it thinking i could root it and make real nice but unfortunately nobody has fiured out anything about root for this device. I am so far pretty disappointed with the device. It is slow and glitchy i have had it SoD many times for no apparent reason? Also i use Swiftkey X and have Swiftkey Tablet installed and it isn't anywhere as good on this as on my Skyrocket or Infuse. I still have not gotten it to do spell corrections on the fly or at all. Dolphin HD doesn't work properly and the Dolphin tablet version sucks.
It just sin't anywhere as good as my Skyrocket and it shoukd be as good or better than the phone. I may end up selling this paper weight.

I love the tablet personally. no problems what so ever.
I am also talking to a few devs about rooting

I agree it's not perfect. I'll wait a few weeks and try it out. You think it will ever get ICS?

OP and others who were successful: could you please PM me the name of the store + rep?
I just tried two at&t store in Manhattan (Wall St and across from the Public Library on 5th) and neither was willing extended any concession whatsoever. They insisted on getting a 2-year contract on both if I wanted both the free phone + subsidize-priced tablet (otherwise would have to purchase full retail @ $600+).
Also, were you an existing at&t customer: did they look up your account and perhaps saw you were eligible for an upgrade/ have a high average monthly bill or anything along those lines?
TIA.

Your best bet is to buy it on Craigslist. I've seen them going for less than $400.

How did you get them to give you a $150 credit?

Hmm...i really feel bad for you guys in the USA on ATT. No free tethering, and they rip you off on deal we have that are much better here. In Canada you can get a Galaxy tab 10.1 and a Skyrocket for 249$ and your contract only covers the skyrocket, so basically you can cancel the data plan for the Tab after a month. And since we have free tethering, you dont really lose the data on the galaxy tab

I walked out when I heard they wanted a 2 year contract. He came and got me and talked to his manager. They do have the option to discount these things.

Where are you located?
Yes, one rep last night told me each store as a budget for that purpose.
I suppose you have to go a store with very slow sales. I waited for the end of the month, thinking they'd be eager to make their monthly sales quotas, but I guess it doesn't work in NYC. There is just too much money.
Gotta try a far away at&t store somewhere ... or Canada given the deal being mentioned above.

Any way to NOT get reamed on phone+data+texting plans?

Just wondering if there are any good tricks or deals to minimize the monthly cost of owning and actually using one of these devices. I've been using LetsTalk for the last few years as I've not really found any cheaper way to get phones & plans, so most of my numbers are based on this. I did a quick spreadsheet for 24 month cost of ownership (ignoring taxes and fees for simplicity) and have attached that. Basically with AT&T you can go with the $40 voice plan and get the phone for $200, or the $60 plan and get it for free. Then add on $30 for data (the letstalk deal requires this for at least 6 months anyway) and another $5 for basic texting. I broke these down with comparisons to the iphone, sidekick 2008, the cricket slider my friend bought and the dirt-cheap samsung propel. I know this isn't exactly apples to apples but I'm doing this more to evaluate the cost/benefit of having a nice smartphone vs a decent voice/text platform with no data plan. Just kinda throwing this out there for feedback, I'm sure you guys know a lot more than I do about what is available and what can be done...
thats easy to answer..... nope. Im on ATT and my bill ends up ~150$ a month

Mine is unlimited EVERYTHING and 100% free, and so is the second, third, forth and fifth line.
Ohh yea the data card is also.
Sorry I couldn't resist.
Ok, to make a long story short, I pay $20 a mo for unlimited data. I have had it for years from when I was with Cingular. I pay $5 for 250 texts and 39 for the lowest minutes. I own my own phone and have always bought unlocked phones and haven't had a contract in years.
So I wanted the Fuze and went to the Att store and was willing to sign a 2 year contract to get the phone for $299 but wanted to keep my plan EXACTLY like it is. Hre said no prob....until he started ringing me up. Stated my data plan was not compatible with the Fuze and I had to upgrade to the $30 a mo. I said no, he said you can't get the speacil price with the $50 rebate if I didn't. I said stuffit.
So, I am willing to pay $500 for the unlocked, no commitment phone from Att and will leave my plan as it is.
Question.....Does anyone know if the phone will be COMPLELTY unlocked or uncripled if I buy it for full price from Att? I want to take my sim out, put it in the new Fuze and keep on keepin on as I have for years.
Thanks

Search for my threads regarding media net. It will tell you all about it.
As for the device (full price) or (with contract renewal) its the same phone, it will be locked.
I don't know how but ATT knows what phone you're using on their network and will probably make you change it anyway. It happened to me when I got a Tilt.

Upgrading on a Family Account

Hey guys,
I'm on ATT, and I was thinking about picking up an SGS2 soon. I was wondering, since my folks never use their upgrades (in a family account of 4), is it possible to upgrade their line, but never use the new sim card and instead use the phone for myself? Has anyone tried this that could possibly share their experience, and give a quick how-to?
Thanks.
If you go into the att store and just say you want to use their upgrade on your line they will do it no problem. As long as you are the primary account holder.
If you are doing it third party, or online you can upgrade their line with the new phone (activate required data plan if applicable) then put your sim card in the phone. You can deactivate the data plan on the other line whenever you want. You will need to call att to have them change your data from 3G to Faux G, but you will keep the same plan (cost and limit, even unlimited), it you won't get data on the GS II with the "3G" data provision.
I just went through this recently.
P.S. Do yourself a favor and get the original Galaxy S II (i777) instead of the skyrocket ... you'll thank me later.

I believe number is attached to sim. Just pop your sim in and good to go. Just ask ATT, its not illegal to switch phones

Thanks so much! And I was definitely going for the i777; dev support is flourishing there.

I'm not sure what you mean here. So when I put MY sim into the SGS 2, I should call att about my line, and have them change whatever you said?
I have an unlimited data plan - I was planning on just taking the newly bought SGS2 to the ATT store and have them transfer my unlimited plan to it. Would this work? What other options do I have to keep my unlimited plan?
Yeah they can do it in store, or call. Just tell them you got a sgs II and the data doesn't work, because it won't. They have to "provision" your line for 4G/HSPA+ data instead of 3G. You can still keep unlimited for $30. It shows up on your bill differently, you will see two pro-rated data plans with different names, but it will still total $30.
It will be easiest in store, as you can verify it works before you leave, but the phone reps can do it too.

Just tell them you want to cross-upgrade. They will set it all up for you. If you do it from a retailer (Costco, Bestbuy...), they will set up the upgraded line and then you will call AT&T after to cancel the data plan associated with the upgrade and switch the IMEI to your line - since they need to change the data plan to the 4g variant.
When you put your current sim in the SGSII, network will work but data won't. That's because the data plan on the Captivate isn't compatible with the SGSII. I found that out last week
Careful though as some places like Amazon require you to sign a contract with them as well stating that if you cancel any part of the plan or use the phone on another line, they hit you with early term fees (I think it's just Amazon actually).
Oh yeah, and the SGSII is an awesome phone!

Yeah I figure Amazon and Wirefly are off limits for this. They require the line to stay with the data plan for 3-6 months, depending on the retailer.
Thanks for your help!
Grea thread ! Some more explanation..please
Ok. I am not fully understanding this great switcheroo.
Wont you still have the other non-SGSII still active and paying for it in the family plan.
Can someone please explain how this goes step-by-step? I mean what if I am not yet eligible for an upgrade, can I just add a SGSII line this way, and turn off the other phone>>>??
Step-by-step.......puhlesaseeeeee!
EDIT: Hmmmmmmmmmm......after re-reading it looks it means you have to be eligible for an upgrade to do this? So since I do not have an upgrade option I am just getting excited for nothing ????
You can add a line for a new phone, such as SGS II, and then use that phone for your line. But, you cannot cancel your existing line until the contract ends, which would be ~3 months after you are eligible for an upgrade. You can cancel the dataplan you are forced to add if you add another line, but you are stuck paying $9.99 + taxes and fees, a month for that line for 24 months. So it adds up costing $250+ over the next 2 years.
You can call and try to talk your way into a early upgrade. If you are nice, and mention considering ending your service they may let you upgrade early for new price plus $30. Several others have said that worked for them. But, it may depend on how close you are to an upgrade. If you got a new phone 6 months ago you may be stuck for a while.

I did this with an iPhone 4S (my upgrade's not up until this spring, the contract outlasted my patience with the Samsuck Craptivate). If you go to a CORPORATE AT&T store, it's no big deal to do. The lady there handled the whole thing for me and I was up and running in no time...
Alright, so I went ahead and got the SGS 2 from Radioshack because they had a 50 dollar deal for Black Friday. I looked at the receipt though, and it says that "If the Device and its wireless service agreement are not continuously in service for 90 days after the original purchase date and the Device is not returned to the Retailer, I agree that the Retailer may charge my credit card an unreturned merchandise fee equal to the Device's Non Activated Price minus the activated price I paid".
I bought it with no sim card for my mom's line. I have the primary line, and I was wondering if it's still okay for my to just insert my sim in the phone to use (would I be charged the above stated fee?). The phone hasn't had any sim card put it in yet at all. Is there any way to get around this? Does anyone have any experience with upgrading like this through Radioshack?
EDIT: Just talked to an ATT rep and he told me that I would not incur any fees/charges for switching equipment, and proceeded to do so for me. I'm still sort of anxious though, don't want to be charged a ridiculous amount for doing this. I saved the chat as a PDF (talked to an online rep) just in case. Anyone want to chime in with an opinion of what I should do?

They are just trying to prevent you from using your upgrade to get a new phone, then immediately terminating the contract and selling the phone. As long as you are actually using it on your plan, you're all good.

Careful, some stores (Amazon) will charge you an early term fee if you move the phone to another line within 6 months.

Gray AT&T H1X on Amazon $129 family upgrade

Just ordered a gray H1X on Amazon as an upgrade on existing family plan for $129. In stock, should ship in 24hrs.
Does it affect data at all? I can't lose my "unlimited" (even if it has limitations).
From what i understand previous data plans can be restored. I'd call at&t to have that confirmed. When i bought the phone the website signed me up for the $30/3GB plan which was ok with me as i'm currently on $25/2GB. But prior to that I had called AT&T to ask about being reverted to prior plan and they said no problem. Call Amazon too because there's also the possibility that even though you can revert to your previous plan via AT&T you may still be subject to $250 ETF from Amazon.

So you think. I had the unlimited data and it went to 3GB. I called AT&T to have the Unlimited back, and they said no problem. Then the computer wouldn't let them. 2 hours Late the rep gave up and opened a case which takes 2 weeks.
I might have a Rep who didn't have a clue as to what to do.
A hassle none the less.
If I had bought from AT&T directly, my Unlimited would have automatically transferred over.
Just a thought for some looking to upgrade.
Buying from ATT = grandfathered plan is hassle free
3rd Party = Gotta go through hurdles to get back the old plan.
Yeah its $130 for a new contract too...
tempted to switch from Verizon just because at&t has some phones I really wish I could have like the note, lumia, and obviously ONE X.... but I lose LTE (there isn't at&t lte here right now).

just a suggestion, but depending where you are, HSPA+ might suffice until you get LTE. With this phone in a non-LTE market, I've been getting upwards of 10 Mbps down. Average is around 5-6 Mbps which is fine for me.

It worked for me. I was expecting a fight. I called to have them notate my accound and told the rep I was recording the call (which I was). I called back a few days after activating the phone (about 2 weeks from the previous call) and, while they claimed they had to open a case and make a request for the change, they did get it changed back within a few days and sent me a text message to confirm.
Tell them you recorded the call and don't let up. They'll do it.
Good luck,
Billy
im going to call them tomorrow to see if i can get the difference ($20) back.

edit: strange but this is also only on the grey model
not a bad price!

Verizon is out to get us.

Obviously the new data plans following suit of the other carriers in killing unlimited, reducing data costs to Big Red is nothing new. The fact our Thunderbolts have been having all kinds of data drop issues (regardless of ROM) is just evident they're even further making efforts to eff us in our rears. I've been eligible for an upgrade for some time but am obviously holding out to maintain my unlimited.. but now I find myself trying to find a Verizon phone elsewhere (craigs list, ebay, etc) just so I don't have to upgrade via Verizon.
Is it true even if we purchase another phone on our own, in activating it, they'll force the change?
Anyone have any recent ROM/radio recommendations that are stable? I swear, it doesn't matter what I flash, my TB is slowly dying and I the conspiracy theorist in me tells me Verizon has placed some moles in the dev community to eff up our stuff (unlikely but possible).
You will only lose your contract if you use your upgrade with them. You can activate any compatible phone on your current contract without losing any of the features (unlimited data) the only exception being for anyone currently on a 3g device cannot activate a 4g phone.
I am using SkyRaider and average around 5gb a month of data usage and haven't noticed any more data lag or drops than normal.
Wait so if I buy a Verizon phone from CL or Ebay I can use my current plan on my TB?

Yes. I just switched from the thunderbolt to a eBay inc 4g yesterday.
My plan is expired too on month to month. Unlimited forever and no contract.
Actually, their just out to make money, like businesses are supposed to do. Things change. This is actually going to lower my bill because after i get my replacement, im dropping the insurance. Wont need it, buy phones on ebay, keep unlimited. I dont need latest and greatest. Dont like the new galaxy, feels cheap. In another few months, ill pick up a rezound

Saying they're out to get us doesn't mean I don't understand their position or their motives, haha. Heck, I'd do the same thing. Glad to hear though that I can still get my own devices and activate under the same plan, that alone can keep me on Big Red so it's much appreciated. I'll also check out SkyRaider, last I tried, I had issues but don't remember what they were. Thanks all.
They aren't 'out to get us'. They just want to give you as little as possible while charging as much as possible. The fact that there isn't competition in the cellular market means no one is fighting for customers. Just wait 2 or 3 years and Verizon will be broken up like AT&T before... If we're lucky that is.

They are definitely and obviously in the this game for PROFIT, MONEY, DINERO, MOOLAH, etc,......!!!
Look at the hard facts.
Quite eye-opening really, in case you didn't have a real picture as to HOW much they are really making on us while giving us less.
I just don't think I'll ever appreciate them removing Unlimited data. It may help some people.
But It doesn't make things cheaper or better in my situation, but so long as I can buy retail and not ever be forced over, I'll stay.
The day they force me into a new contract after my current one is up, I'm out.
Just thought I'd post that link for their earnings report from this Quarter, as they just released it and it pretty well sums up this thread.
Just talked to Vzn cust serv, they said (for whatever it's worth) that if you upgrade using the disc phone price, you'll be switched over OFF unlimited. To keep unlimited you csn purchase Vzn offered phone at full retail w/out contract, or privately purchase any Vzn compatible phone and activate w/out contract. I asked what stops Vzn in three months from saying "you have no contract with Vzn, buy our new plan or we'll drop you"... She said, nothing stops them from sayinv that, Vzn isn't bound by a contract. Either way, my TB runs so well, I have no problem keeping it another year, maybe two!
Running Thundershed v1.6_CM7.2, imo lean kernel 6.2.1 (#1 normal -undervolted, 184-1408) with the .9 radios... Got 6hrs of uninterrupted use, a few days ago. (Internet, tons of YouTube videos, online games, text/calls, FB, phone gaming, etc. jumping from one to the other) just to see how long it would go. 6hrs 11min with 18% batt life remaining. 15 hrs heavy-moderate use with 29% batt life remaining. This is w/out 4G (not avail here yet) and using Rezound standard batt... Even without the better battery life, the TB works very well in this config, and operates incredibly smooth, and very reliably.
Is it worth running with my smooth TB another year to keep $300 in my pocket and not lose unlimited pkg (upgrade)? Or is it worth keeping $500-600 in my pocket (not paying full retail just to have a newer, slightly better phone)? ABSOFREAKINLUTELY worth it! Well played Quietly Rooted TB, well played.

How about this thought. I'm on a shared 10GB plan with 3 other phones. I noticed that Verizon made sure that there was NO way to disable that stupid backup service that I can find. So it sounds to me like they're TRYING to make people go over their limited data plan if they can.

As long as you are a member of the account online then backup assistant is free every month, and they say it is airtime free.. its only your contacts and its done over cellular ( not data plan ) - i have a dumb phone on my account and they have their backup ( no data )

I had a recent experience which may shed some light on the situation. I have a TB with unlimited data, but until recently, that was part of a family plan through my parents (for convenience.) Well, without realizing what they were doing, they got manipulated by a VZW salesperson to change their family plan to the bundled data plan - in exchange for two free smart phones and a free hotspot device. Of course, my unlimited plan went byebye as a result. I calmly called customer service the second I heard they had gotten smart phones and explained that there had been a mistake, and that the plan change was supposed to exclude my phone.
Well, the CS person was very helpful, and offered to remove my line from their account, and restore the unlimited data on a new account under my name, at the 2008 (when I had gotten a smartphone originally) single-subscriber price. It barely took any coaxing, and she was quick to offer me that compromise, after I suggested my parents had been purposefully misled (which I am sure they were - I figure the salesperson gets a bonus for every unlimited line he scraps.)
My point? If they still have the ability to create an entirely new account with unlimited data based on prices from 4 years ago, I am sure that they can still renew the unlimited contracts if given a good enough reason. I suppose the trick is coming up with a good reason...
You can keep unlimited data as long as you don't get a new subsidized phone. Pay full price for new phone and you can keep unlimited data.

Yeah that's pretty common knowledge by now I think.
My concern is when will that option end?
Once my current contract is up, there's nothing carved in stone that says they won't change things.
They could very well decide to try and force anyone with a smartphone on their network into a new data plan or simply only offer you voice.
I guess I just wonder how long will they allow grandfathered Unlimited data users to keep that, beyond their contract end date.
Nobody really knows.
I guess ill see first .. I'm on month to month right now with unlimited.
Yep, that's the caveat of unlimited data ; no contract. Technically, 5 minutes after you end your contract by buying a full retail phone, or keeping your existing phone (as I plan to do), Vzn can disconnect you and bill you for 5 minutes Obviously they wouldn't do this, but no contract means no promises.

razr maxx is old now yet full retail hasnt changed. does anyone sell brand new smartphones at lower prices as they age? best buy certainly doesnt. I prefer not to deal with private sales through ebay or swappa but would deal with amazon or new egg or a well know dealer online. a brick and mortar store would be my preference but it appears they only put phones on sale with a plan, never put brand new no contract phones on sale.

Yeah Verizon's phone prices are high. The Droid Incredible, till the day it was discontinued, costed $549.99 or whatever full retail, even though new Droid Incredibles were going on eBay for half that. And damn, the Droid Charge is $99 with 2 year contract RIGHT NOW. So is the Galaxy Nexus.
If I can talk a rep into giving me unlimited data or rather letting me keep unlimited when upgrading, well I would not be totally against organized bribing, sort of like tips for waiters and waitresses, of course we know that's not happening.
Too bad Verizon doesn't have an S in its name, I, along with everyone else on here would replace that S with a $ so fast...
Hahaha. Yeah. Verizon wirele$$

Buy Gear S 3G no contract

Does anybody know if you can just buy a Samsung Gear s2 3g straight up with no contract, no service setup etc? I want to buy one and just use it with Bluetooth until I decide I like it enough to sign up for service with my phone provider. (AT&T) Also is there a difference in model # between an AT&T or Tmobile etc?
Buy one from whoever you have coverage with. You may have to initially set up a smartwatch plan, but you can cancel it during the first month. If you payed retail for it you now own it.
You should be able to do that with no problem. You will have to pay the full retail price of $299.00 to be able walk away without enabling the 3G. If you decide to activate it, there will probably be some activation fee as well. Better way to do this IMHO is buy it for $199 and commit to 2 years and if you don't like it return it before your 14 day window.
My 3G version has been working great since I got it.
YMMV
I guess some of my issue, is I have AT&T Unlimited Data Plan which is no longer offered by AT&T. In order to have the Gear S2 on my plan, I have to completely switch to a "shared plan" of which I then have to pick a certain data plan size etc. Its not that I download 60gb a month or something, but I like having the grandfathered unlimited data plan. When I go online to AT&T website there is no option to just buy the phone. They make you sign up for a plan with it, hence the problem. I just wanted to flat out buy it, then see if I want to go with a plan later. Thanks for the replies!
I just went to the store and told them it was going to be a gift. Was done in 8 minutes. They did look up my account and such but did not do anything to my plan.
Nice! An AT&T store? Or AT&T in a Best Buy? Where you located? I called last week and they hadn't gotten any in yet.
I am in Dallas, TX. I got it from AT&T. I have not seen the 3G versions at Best Buy.
Wow! I was thinking of getting the 3G version but if I lose my unlimited plan, then maybe I'll have to rethink. Anybody here got it from AT&T and retain their unlimited plan?

Yeah exactly, why I was thinking for now as a Bluetooth watch, and then later if I want to add the plan, but to lose my unlimited would stick. I think it has to be a share plan, as the watch is an extension of your phone, so they share the data. Not sure though

Hello, I also want to buy a gear s2 3g but no contract and no plans.
You can keep the gear s2 3g without any charges just paying full price (299)
What do I need to then cancel the plan?
Because they do not live in the USA, I will make the purchase over the internet (and a person will bring mo for my country) and then wanted to know how I cancel the plan, it is possible by phone? what documents i need?
Some one kent help?

One is not required to purchase a data plan in order to buy the watch. Just have to pay full price, which is $299. I just walked in an corporate AT&T store & bought it outright.

But in online shop you need to create a plan, if no choose the order no pass.

Just wanted to share my experience with trying to get the 3g version without contract...
It has been a nightmare trying to purchase it in a store- att or bestbuy.
Att wanted to charge me $10 /month for just getting the watch while paying the full price for it...
Then I checked on bestbuy's web site, and saw $349 inactivated device (available for pickup same day), so I went to my local store. Needless to say, I was not allowed to purchase it. Wtf... I knew what the att reps are going to say, so I went straight to the Samsung booth, but the poor sales person still had to ask the att reps for permission to sell the watch.. First they said that fir the watch to work, they have to activate it ... Then I pulled the offer on bestbuy's website for the unactivated device... So, they came back telling me that they are out of stock ... LMAO...IDIOTS..
So, I came home and ordered it online from bestbuy.com, mind that it was telling me that I can pick it up the same day from the same local store that "ran out" of it...
I know that att are hungry for every penny they can get their hands on but thought that bestbuy would be smarter...
Regardless, I hate giving them business after all, but my only reasoning is that I want a watch with mic and speaker function, and if something doesn't work right, I can always go back and return it easily rather than dealing with ebay seller's customer service.
I just hope all works well through BT, cause otherwise I have to get the huawei watch and wait for google to allow the use of the speaker. I have nothing against huawei, just that their watch is not my style and I really like the rotating bezel.

That's horrible. That's what happens, unfortunately, when dealing with people who are commission-based.
