hey guys i was wondering that now since web os is going to be open source , if anyone here on xda would make a port for our samsung galaxy s plus ????/
even though webos is now open source there just arent that many people interested that want to port webos>android. currently the touchpad already has cyanogen7.1 (not stable) and thats already taking a lot of effort.

Hey guys i saw this video :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OynS0yrm3lk
and i was wondering if someone knew anything about it and how we can port it to android. I also know that this is basically impossible if you dont have the source, well after researching about this i came upon a website:
http://opensource.apple.com/
if you look at the iOS side and see there is 4.0 with some downloads (if you click on it) I am not a developer and i dont know much about porting but is this enough to be able to port iOS to android with those files?
bump?? fake or not?
completely Chinese kinda ios4
actually it's completely FAKE
ok thnkx for clarifying
i've wondering if it's possible to make an Android ROM based on Honeycomb for Tablet have it running on a nokia n800? what do i need? if this is possible, nitdroid project has not been active for the n800 port, i have seen some video showing n800s running eclair or even froyo, but this people doesnt responde at all, nitdroid says the n800 port has been stopped and instead n900 port is in the making, i wanna give a try for myself if something can give me some guidance i would appreciate it so much
Thanks so much in advance
BTW
I managed to install nitdroid on my n800,. but we are talking about donut, and is kinda slow , dont have sound at all, and the main objective is to ditch maemo and to have android as primary OS in the tablet, before getting enough money to buy a MMP powered with android, like the samsung galaxy player 50 or some other android device equally small like the n800
Thanks again guys for any help

First off , it's closed source . What can you do if you can't even have the code ?
Secondly , Apple will come after you if they see it .
Infused with CM7 for Galaxy Ace using XDA App
android and wp7 wont come after you? did they publish their code?
i thought that was "just" ripped anyhow
I am new to Android but not to *nix. I received a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (P5113) as a gift from my wife and I was hoping an experienced Android Guru might weigh in on what they thought of this device for a newbie trying to teach himself the ins and outs of the android platform. I would like to compile my own AOSP roms from scratch and flash them to this device and I was wondering if it is possible and if so what kind of functionality would be missing if any? I see other threads that suggest that it is possible. Samsung released what looks like the source code but I am unsure if that does me any good or not. I would like to teach myself the ins and outs of the android platform but I am unsure if this is the right device to do that on. Does anyone have any thoughts to share on this subject? Thanks!
i'm in the same boat to for the 7 inch version. got android source 4.0.3 from repo. i have kernel and platform source from samsung. under impression i should put samsung source into device directory. (from reading threads). not convinced its that simple, before running lunch, make etc. anyone built custom rom from source forbtab 2's?
Hi everyone,
Does anyone know how to install WebOS on say a Samsung Galaxy S (Fascinate to be exact) or make a WebOS ROM so everyone could start picking up the pieces and start making WebOS a reality for all of us Android users.
WebOS may not be very well supported but there is potential but we need to put in an effort to get something back.
Let's do this!
Instead , I think we should port important features of WEB OS to Android.
So, that drawbacks are covered by WEB OS.
We appreciate your enthusiasm, but its much more involved than that.
One group (WebOS Ports) is working on porting to a few devices, including the Galaxy Nexus.
Another group, I think a company, is working on an .apk app to install and work, I assume on any capable Android phone, but right now it only supports the Nexus S, and I don't even know if its out yet...
So my plan is to wait and see.
