Does anyone have a clue why vibrate function would stop working? It does seem like it is very very slight, it happened before, then it started working again but felt for some time like phone had a bad cough then got normal, now it stopped working again and is back to being slight.

Mine has a longer turnaround time. It did not work for weeks. I thought it was memory issue because it stopped working when I did a lot of downloading and then started working when I froze a lot of bloat. But now no such thing happened, I have enough memory.
This would happen to me on my nexus s. I would just reboot and all would be fine.

Have you tried Vibrate Tools?
It fixed an issue I had where notifications from Go SMS weren't vibrating. After I used the app it worked again.

I think It's just a problem with the motor. You should probably send it back in. That's what I'm going to try and do.

So I've noticed that ever since this OTA update from almost 2 months ago happened, my phone has been acting weird with the standard messaging app. When I go to text someone (I know for a fact I'm entering a message to the right person), it automatically sends that message to someone else. Now this hasn't gotten me into huge trouble yet, if you know what I mean lol but its quite annoying! Any advice?

I feel like it deserves its own thread in the General section as the other one mainly pertains to ICS development.
Anyways, my voice to text was working flawlessly at first but not anymore. Anyone else having the same problem?
And if you're still unsure about running it, here's a short vid on it and how it runs.

I haven't. What does it do when you try to send another one?
i get a weird problem that went im in the messenger app, if im typing in landscape and then go back to portrait the screen has a weird black overlay and I cant really see anything... it wont go away unless i restart the app... other than that stuff is running fine
Edit: I think this is a known problem because its an "android 4" app... he mentioned they would be glitchy

Its kind of strange, people can receive my messages but I won't get theirs when they reply. I've tried wiping cache and reflashing but it was still a problem.

Yeah hardware acceleration isn't really fully working yet since its just a hack at the moment. That's why apps that utilize it are still weird at the moment. But hopefully he is able to fix that in the near future.

I posted on General ICS thread before I saw this one, but I used G2x Scrubber and I have tried normal Factory Reset, and Than I flash CM9 and Gapps( for 4.0), but it gets stuck at the Lg screen and goes into bootloop... I can still get to recovery but I cant get CM9 to work any suggestions?

The only real issue I have is when I tap the screen, sometimes it'll act as if I'm holding down on where I tapped. Camera works for me now, but attempting to take picture make it not respond, asking me to force close. Still, it's good been good enough to use all day for me.

Camera doesn't work, any suggestions? It will start up and take a picture but then freezes.
get the camera 360 app from the market. it works perfect for me.
GPS works. Not sure if it's more or less stable than Gingerbread though.

Hi there!!
I don't know if this is a know thing anyway, on the right of the HTC logo there is the proximity sensor that shut down the display during a call. When it's on a you can see a red light from it. It should be turned on only during call. In the last days I have noted that the light remain always on even if I'm not doing a call. It turns off only if I taskiller all the process, but this stand only for 40 second as after this period of time the light reactivate itself again ( probably because some proces automatically restarts ) what can I do?? Is there somebody else who he's experiencing this too??

Do you have any apps for brightness management? I've experienced the same before and it was due to such app.
no..I use no app for that...
Have you tried to make another phone call and see if it switches off after hang up? Maybe in the last call it hasn't switched off for whatever reason/bug.
I noticed this, but after some digging I found out that Viber is causing this:

Good to see you've found the cause.
I also noticed this behaviour if you made a call and switched staight to loudspeaker without putting the phone to your ear. When the call was finished the sensor would remain active requiring a reboot of the phone to turn it off.
Seems to have been fixed with the 4.0.4 update
Same thing happened to me, except I don't have viber. Reboot fixed it.

I don't have viber and even after reboot, wipe cache/dalvic it still glows. HTC One S with Axiom ROM. this just started in the last week. I haven't downloaded any new apps though several have updated but I couldn't tell you which ones now. Trying to disable everything I can think of that would use the proximity sensor to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.
This happens to me whenever I'm using bluetooth, but what works for me is this:
Download "Proximity Sensor Finder" from the play store, open it up and wave your hand over the proximity sensor. Close the program and the red light goes away. It's faster that doing a reboot. This works for me and hopefully it works for others as well.
My problem was related with a bug inside viber, the app has been updated and the sensor start working good again

This is what I used and haven't had a problem since.
you could also try to install taskiller and kill everything, if the sensor stop being on it's related to a process that keep it active if not it's probably and hardware issue
Since we're talking about the proximity sensor, it shouldn't stay on during a call when the screen is manually turned off. On the Galaxy Note II the sensor turns off.

Having your vibration setting activated caused the proximity light to stay on.

Okay so yesterday I was sitting around playing on my phone, I set it down to go do some stuff and when I came back I realized that I had missed calls, texts, etc all from when I was actually using it.
I have gone through every vibration/ sound setting, turned them all on and off and still nothing. There is no vibration what-so-ever for anything. No haptic feedback, notifications or anything.
I am running JB 4.1.1 rooted but with stock everything and have never changed anything with the system(kernals, roms, all that stuff). Im starting to think its a hardware issue.
Any help is appreciated,
TPerk
Have you rebooted? Does it vibrate when you immediately turn on the phone, before it boots into android? This happened to me for a day and nothing I did would fix it, and then it randomly came back by itself...I do have a CLNR so I think it's not too far from crapping out permanently.

No vibration at startup makes me think it's definitely a hardware problem. The next thing I would do is Odin back to stock. If it still persists for a day or so, I'd see what I could do about a replacement.
