[Q] Can't flash MIUI with my wind optimus 2x - T-Mobile LG G2x

Hey Guy's I'm currently having issues flashing the official MIUI rom via cwr mod and I have no clue what I'm suppose to do at this point.
Right now my phone is using stock gingerbread 2.3 (tmobile) and I am using the newest version of clockwork recovery.
The main issue is that every time I try and flash it it gives me a SD mounting error, but i can flash cm7 off my device...anyways any help would be appreciated

Do u have a p990 or a p999 and are you using whitehawkxs build or the official build from miui.us

Well after a lot of browsing and searching I'm able to put custom roms internally, but every time I flash cyanogen mod it doesn't recognise my internal memory and it automatically assumes I have a sd card in my phone.
btw thanks for the reply
oh and its p999

sorry double post

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S i9000 Darkys Rom problem

Hi all,
I was attempting to install Darkys Extreme Edition on my brother SGS (running Froyo 2.2.1) last night and had a number of issues, i am an experienced techy and familiar with flashing etc but i am still new to Android.
I managed to flash the Speedrom kernel onto his phone using Odin, i rooted with "super one click root tool" and installed Clockwork Rom Manager from the marketplace,i then dropped the "Darkys rom Extreme Edition v9.1.zip" onto the root of the SD card and entered recovery using the button combo and received the "could not verify whole-file signature" installation aborted, the file had not been opened as i read this will break the signature but instead i downloaded the rom again from a different source and had the same problem.
I then attempted the same process by asking CWM to install the rom on the SD card, same problem and then attempted it again by entering recovery through CWM and again the same thing happened. I did some searching online and managed to find out that he needs recovery 2e (he currently has recovery 3e)
So i figured it would be simple enough - download and flash eclair 2.1 through the phone, however when i checked his "about phone" i find i9000JPW and cant for the life of me find ANY reference or firmware online for "JPW"
So with that i have the following questions - can the experienced users here spot something i am doing wrong?
and
would i be able to achieve the recovery process by flashing ANY stock, Eclair 2.1 ROM through the phone (like JPY for instance) and then be able to install Darkys Rom?
I am grateful to anyone that could shed some light on this for me, i am not currently with the phone but if i can get some solid info i can go over tomorrow and have another crack at it, ive Googled this a lot and cannot find a solid enough answer as to whether the above suggestion will help or hinder in this case.
Cheers to all
Not sure if this helps as i am not much of a wiz but i think darky rom needs the darky app from the market to tell which modem and kernel to install.
Not sure if that's actually the problem but worth a try.
Stock recovery changed from 2e to 3e from eclair to froyo which is why cwm is having problems. I had the same problem with a vibrant that had been updated to 2.2. I flashed a TW Bionix ROM and soft bricked the phone. Find the right pit and tar files and Odin back to 2.1 and you should be fine. Check out Shorty's locker on Team Whiskey. He has lots of stuff in storage.

Thanks guys ill be sure to give this a go, gongshow how will i know which tar and PIT files to use? is there a repository somewhere where i can get them for JPW? or can i use any eclair 2.1 rom (and the tar/pit files) and flash that using Odin?
Download hardcores latest speedmod kernel and flash via Odin. That's all you need to get recovery 2e. Then install your favorite rom and enjoy.

if you are still on stock rom you can download darkys 9.2 resurrection rom. it has all the files you needed to flash it through odin. and your recovery will change to 2e. and also, there is a procedure guide how to flash.

Ah, this sounds like what i was looking for, thank you! i'll download that ROM and if i can get over there tonight ill attempt it tonight instead of waiting until tomorrow, ill go look up a tutorial for flashing roms in Odin too, since i have so far only flashed a kernel with it, thanks for all the help guys i really appreciate it, especially since i'm hoping to get an Android phone myself soon and i wont be able to leave it alone til its all custom!
Ok, all done! last night i flashed Darkys Resurrection 9.2 using Odin on my brothers SGS, downloaded Darkys configurator from the market and made any necessary changes and installed the speedmod kernel k13c total time taken from start to finish: 30mins
everything is running smoothly and exactly as he wanted it, a huge thanks to all who contributed help to this post in particluar:
ehtoeh - for putting me onto the K13c speedmod kernel and
aerobomb - for putting me onto the idea of flashing the Resurrection rom to lower recovery to 2e and then flashing Darkys 2.3 final.
You guys are awesome and i could not of done this without you, when i eventually make the move to Android ill be back and hopefully ill be able to help you guys out!
No worries bud. Hope your brother enjoys his phone. What quadrant scores did you get with darkys 9.3? I hit 1499.
Btw, you could have done it all in under 10 minutes. Speedmod k13c has CWM built in and gives you 2e recovery. Then just flash 9.3 directly. No need to go from 9.2 to 9.3 unless you really like flashing

I had similiar problem and found some file .exe which allowing install under 3e, but this is in my computer so i will edit my post 2morrow

Rooted with new baseband

So after reflashing to stock in order to try the new update, I realized that it unrooted my phone. I was kinda down by this but I thought maybe I could reflash cwm in order to flash to a new rom. I ended up flashing cwm successfully without rooting the phone and was able reflash miui and now all of the backups I have are using the new baseband with no issues. The problem I found most people were probably running into when trying to use the LG updater tool is they were not removing the SD card prior to flashing which prevents the update from completing successfully. Just thought I'd share my two cents.

Hmm.. if this is true it would have been nice if they told us to remove the SD card. Unless I missed that somewhere.
Sent from my LG-P999 using Tapatalk
I flashed just fine with my SD card in.
It doesn't remove Clockwork mod recovery so just flash a rooted rom. They have the lastest GB stock already rooted in flash form. Just flash and you'll have root back. Easier then trying to root it as I don't think the new GB rom can be rooted yet (could be wrong).
Easier to just flash

I tried to flash mine with the SD card removed and completely lost my baseband. I had to send my phone back to LG for repair/replacement.
in the directions that were posted by tmonews that were official from LG, the directions state to remove SD card, when you flash the update, it puts it back to the stock recovery, at least it did for me, so when i re-flashed cwm i was able to keep all of my other cwm backups that now have the newest baseband.
Just followed the video this morning to make sure I did the right steps. I got CWM on there but won't give me root.

No issues here with updating and having a sd card installed.
@bow...did you download the rooted rom from xboarder? It is a zip. Install it after using the LG tool and you will be good to go.

[Q] i9020A updating to 2.3.6

I really hate to do this, but i've searched for a while now and can't seem to find anything that matches my situation.
i'm on stock 2.3.4, but rooted with a different kernel, boot image, and a different radio flashed. I realize that i'm not going to be able to install the update directly from my phone, but I can't seem to install the signed update file through cwm or the stock recovery I just flashed. cwm fails with a status 7 error, and stock recovery won't even let me bring up the menu to manually install the update.
i'm just wondering if I should flash a stock rom with recovery and then try to flash the update that way, or is there some other way that I could do it? I don't want to lose any data from my phone, and I would flash the full 2.3.6 rom instead, but I can't connect to the download link in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1063664.
once again, I really hate to do this, but I am pretty much stuck right now.
thanks

My LG G2x currently is running the stock ROM, and stock kernal 2.6.32.9
You flashed a kernel which isn't compatible with stock. I believe Morfic has a stock-based kerenel. Other than that, there are a couple of threads with rooted stock OS nandroids, grab one of those and do an advanced restore and select ONLY to restore boot. Make sure to get the same version nandroid as is Tue OS on the phone.

Stock ICS for Blaze?

Hey guys! Maybe I am really bad at finding stuff, but could someone clearly post the stock ICS software for the blaze? For all the recoveries to go back to stock, I keep finding the gingerbread ones. I currently am running CM 11, and if anything goes wrong, I know that I need to use the ICS recovery, rather than the gingerbread one. Thank you in advance for helping a helpless noob! XP

This is what I used for a cwm flashable stock ICS ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2329081
For recoveries they should be listed in the blaze bible

FOR EVERYONE HAVING ANY PROBLEMS RETURNING TO STOCK FIRMWARE READ THIS
So first register at www.sammobile.com, then search SGH-T769 under firmware and download the August 2012 ICS or The Feb 2013 ICS Firmware, wait for the download to finish (took me 30 minutes) then extract which ever firmware zip you downloaded then using Odin click on PDA and select the .md5 file which is located in the extracted ICS Firmware Folder that you've downloaded from sammobile.com
Download the PIT file here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1919228
Click on PIT in Odin and then select the one downloaded from the link above
Edit: I believe the pit file download link at that thread no longer works but if I remember correctly the pit file isn't needed (it's not do or die) you can continue without it your phone will be fine
then make sure re-partition isn't checked and start the flashing process after it is done flashing and reboots you'll have stock ICS.
*IF YOU WANT TO ROOT IT READ BELOW*
to root it simply follow the instructions over at the root ics stock thread found here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1919228
This will flash a custom recovery and once the recovery is flashed using Odin reboot into recovery and flash the superuser.zip then you'll have Rooted Stock ICS Firmware
*BOOT LOOP MIGHT OCCUR*
To fix boot looping after flashing stock ICS just boot into stock recovery and wipe data and cache then reboot or on custom recover wipe cache and dalvik cache reboot and you're good to go.
If I helped you in anyway don't be afraid to hit thanks!

Thanks a lot man! I was rooting my mom's phone (we all got blazes... Go figure!) and ran into an issue when I ran into a bootloop the first time I tried rooting... When I tried undoing the softbrick, I accidentally loaded the gingerbread stock back on, rather than ICS, and found that her SD partition was inaccessible. Thankfully, using the stock ICS, I reverted back to it and then rooted again when done with that. She's now on ProvisionMod, and its running smooth as butter! I was hesitant to put her on Kitkat cuz I know the camera bug still needs to be worked out... But when that's fixed, I plan on putting her on something like CM 11 when its all said and done. Thanks to all the helpful developers who made all of this possible! You guys are the best!!!!!
